Are you serious??? Your statement feels like a joke. As how apple made their back glass it is nearly impossible that an electric iron would be helpful in removing it UNLESS what you had was not put by Apple and then it can be removed with almost any type of heat source.

"The maximum temperature for a clothes iron can range from 250°F to 360°F (121°C to 182°C). " The heatgun I used was set above 500 Fahrenheit with a peak of 1000 F. The iron has too less of a heat output to be a able to do this the way I did it.
@@ersbit no it wasn't I bought the phone new in box I'm not sure why you are doubting but the electric iron I can say produce more heat than the heat gun. Because I pressed it on the glass. I didn't hover it over
Do you think its easier to disassembly or to remove the back glass? The back glass to me seems like you need extra gear, I dont have that cool heat gun and gloves you do. I may have to go the Full Disassembly route. Thanks for the vid.
If Disassembly doesn't scare you it it the best solution. It will almost always give a better result as all the back/body will be new and you need three types of screw drivers * y + will most likely take the same time as doing this with heatgun and blades (lol glasses everywhere 🤣). Once the screen is safely removed all the rest is just patience and it will be good.

You can but it won't work. The air temperature is just too low and soft. A heatgun would burn the skin which a Hairdryer might do if you overuse if during a prolonged use in the same session.
No unfortunately it will not. I recommend avoiding water 😅. You don't want to get it water damage which might completely damage the motherboard and yll need a new device.

@nonlose yes. The glue apple used is very hard to remove. A laser is the best and easiest way to remove the glass. Laser is expensive very expensive 🤣

You're back glass was most likely not original!!! It is impossible to use a Hairdryer if the back glass is original from Apple (never replaced)!
I haven’t taken off the back glass yet just replaced the screen

Why on earth do they have to make the back of glass?
To make it more expensive and gain more profit then say it's made out of machined aluminum and glass 😅. Plastic isn't premium by these guys standards.
I would rather it be made of plastic and made more durable
Reduces interferance with wireless charging.
iphone 7 was great aluminum frame and same design size camera etc but they made this back glass for no reason
