May Allah bless him. This sheikh must have had a really nice father. Bless his soul. But some parents can make mistakes as they are human too. They may have generational toxic baggage and unhealed wounds as well. They may have been emotionally scarred and starved of love as kids. The cultural patriarchal system would have forced them to become rough and tough, sometimes lacking empathy and gentleness. The Prophet Mohamed (pbuh) taught us love and kindness and taught us to respect and honor parents. But they can be toxic too. There's no place in hadith about wearing a shoe as crown. A bit much. We can be free. And we are not owned. We only belong to Allah. If your father is a gem then this lecture applies to you by all means.❤
My dad didn't look after his first 5 kids, including me. Was cheating with another woman while he was in marriage with my mother. He even married that woman and made other kids with her. We stayed alone with our mother. A book of 600 pages would be insufficient to describe the injustices he commited towards us.
I reestablished contact with him 10 years ago, for the sake of Allah. He doesn't regret anything and says that he regrets that he didn't made our lives even a bit harder..
I hate his personality and character. But hamdolilAllah for everything.
May Allah grant you grant you contentment in this life; as for you the pains you go through, through his rememberance. Ameen.

@lordkiza8838 Repent sincerely to Allah and ask for his forgiveness and never do it again. Simple . Allah will accept your repentance all day everyday till your last breath . Consumption of pork doesn't make you a kafir. Besides you seem to have done it out ignorance so Allah will definitely forgive you if u mend your ways.
@lordkiza8838 admit your mistake, repent and promise Allah never to do it again, remember Allah forgives all sins also give sadaqah, also say the shahada again
