Thank you for this video. I am a super amateur trying to work through some problems and this was super helpful and simple to follow. Thanks.

My man the video hasn’t started yet and if his voice isn’t angles from heaven I’m gonna touch you
Thanks you it was helpful❤
Im running windows 11 for a year now and after watching this video I checked my motherboard bios update and the version I’m running isn’t compatible with windows 11 so I updated my bios but I was wondering if maybe that’s why I had blue screen issue and crashes
can you make a follow up as how everything would go if done right? And what if I did everything and its not posting anymore?
I'm upgrading from an i7-12700k to an i9-13900k I've never swapped out a CPU before I'm pretty new (noob) to PC I've always been a console player this is going to help a lot

When i have to remove the broken old cpu to a new cpu i have to remove the ram and then install again?
would would be different about the bios update with an asus prime H510M-K motherboard?

Hi, I have Ryzen 3 3200g with a320m-dvs r4.0 motherboard, I am upgrading to Ryzen 5 3600g, any tips or extra steps needed??
Going from ryzen 7 3700x to a ryzen 5 5900x. Will bios need an update?
I hv i5 first 660.gen can i change to i5 4geñ
What would be my best option to upgrade from a 9700 non k? Using rtx 4080 and the 9700 is holding it back. Thanks for any help.
does AMD have these many socket types beside AM4-AM5 ?

Thx upgraded from i5 10400f to i5 11600k wanna leant overclocking
Nice video thanks! Im currently upgrading but with a new mother board and gpu. I was curious on how to transfer all my data, games, passwords, bookmarks, etc. I plan on using my same ssd’s and want it to be exactly like my old system? Any help would be appreciated!
If you're using the same SSDs you can just move them to the new system. No problems :) Windows should still load, though obviously you might need motherboard firmware/software updates, but otherwise everything will be there. You will likely need a new license for Windows though.
Alternatively this might help ua-cam.com/video/ZxzLGLs39tA/v-deo.html

That’s what I thought but was just checking for this will be my first time upgrading. I’m gonna do a clean window install for sure. Thanks for your help!
CPU-Z actually gives you the socket type information under the CPU tab.
@theprovokedprawn so I am new to this, I'm going from i7 13th gen to i9 13th gen will I need a bios update?
what do you mean by "just turn off your computer"???? after the update, just turn it off? or what?
hey thanks for the video. so i guess if you have an I9 and go from a K to a KS its just a simple swap if your bios was already up to date.
I’m upgrading from an and a10-9700 to a ryzen 5 2600, will i need to update my bios for this?
You'll need a whole new motherboard. You can't swap between Intel and AMD
I'm actually upgrading my 12400f to a 13600kf, I have an AG400 fan cooler like in your video, is that enough for cooling that 13th gen without overclocking ? Do I have to change something in the Bios about watts or something ? Thanks 🙏
Hi Provoked Prawn! Thank you for sharing all of these informations. What happens if the motherboard is made-to-measure for a specific pre built pc. In my case I'm talking of a msi mpg as 12th with a i7 12700f which has a b660 modified for the 750 w power supply. Based on your expecirence do you think that an i9 processor (for example a i9 14900f) does fit well for this computer? What about problems in terms of temperature? I use the computer for 3d render and i'm finding a solution to upgrade my computer to reduce the time of rendering.
Thank you in advance,
All te best!

Very helpful video. Curious though, how did you overclock your voice?
20 camels a day is what I read on the dark web, you can overclock further by adding 1 cigarette per day, if coughing starts go back down one cigarette and you've found stability
I have a Aspire TC-780(KBL) motherboard and a Intel Core i5 7400 CPU. My cpu isn't compatible with windows 11 and I need to find an upgrade CPU that fits in my motherboard but I cant find the motherboard on PC part picker. If you have any suggestions for a CPU and/or motherboard to upgrade to it would be appreciated.
Alas that's a quite old CPU now and several generations behind in terms of motherboard socket, so you'll have to swap the entire thing really. Motherboard, CPU and ram. We're now on 14th gen Intel CPUs. So that would be quite an upgrade
ok. thanks for the help. its a pretty old computer so it makes sense I have to upgrade the motherboard and cpu.@@TheProvokedPrawn
Do you necessarily need to update bios when updating to the same generation? I’m going from a i5 12400 to i7 12700
I guess what nobody talks about is how do I get all my programs back? And all the things I use for editing and just to have like 30 programs. How do you do that?
I have a 1200 socket. I 7 and I was going to upgrade to an I 9 with 16 Coors 24 threads and 4.7. GhZ instead of 3.6 an 8 cores16 threads.
Everyone says this will be a dramatic upgrade?
I had the 13900k, and bought a 14900kf ( found cheaper and is better cpu) it says that my z790 will work with gen14th as well. My main question is, do I need to reinstall windows?
@TheProvokedPrawn I just updated my bios to the very last one last week. I belive that should be ok
I got a hp omen 25L with the i3 13100F and a gtx 1660 super, was wondering if i could swap the i3 13100F for a i5 6500 cpu.?
**It has the ""Hp Omen 25L GT15 Motherboard M81916-002""
@@naywils downgrade?? I was assuming a i5 6500 was an upgrade to be honest, im not totally on the tech savvy side of all that. Im just usin the pc to game pretty much. I run my games just fine on the i3 13100f, i was just thinkin that the i5 6500 would give it a little more push. So your sayin i should stick with the i3 then?
@@Patch3zX23 Yeah the 13100f is very much better than the 6500 :P An i3 from 2023 is alot better than an i5 from 2015 :D! Also the cpu wouldnt work its a different socket type.
Is a Rtx 3060 ti vision oc good for 449.99usd or a Rtx 3060ti gaming oc for 439.99usd or a regular Rtx 3060ti for 399.99usd can’t decide gonna pair any of these with an i5 11400
I wanted to add a new Intel CPU to my Asus H97M-e mainboard that has an old Intel i5 4460 CPU but in the computer shop they said that all Intel CPUs have different sockets and a new CPU won't fit on my mainboard.
can I upgrade 12 gen processor to 13th gen without having a 122 gen processor? want to buy a 12 gen mobo and 13 gen processor but I obviously don't have a 12 gen processor to do the update, is there any other way to do it?
The motherboard would need the USB bios flash function to flash without need for 12th gen chip
I want to upgrade from a i5 13400f to a i7 13700k would I need bios update?
Henry Cavill teaches you how to upgrade your cpu on his secret UA-cam channel 👀
I'm upgrading from an i7-12700k to the i9-13900k I just did my intel me update and bios update I definitely sweated during the bios update since I never did one before I didn't have any problems I'll be putting in the new CPU later today hopefully goes just as smoothly
Is it worth it, I’m thinking to upgrade from i7 12700f to i7 13700k. Or do I wait for the 14th gen ? from what I read the 13700k would be perfect for 4070ti
@therealbukhari if you can I'd get the 14700k unless you find some deal for the 13700k there's really only a minimal difference between the two but really if you're not getting any bottlenecks I wouldn't even upgrade I had that cpu was very easy to overclock and stay stable but I got lucky and got a 4090 at msrp so had to upgrade was getting 99% bottleneck in a lot of games especially warzone
I just wanted to make sure that no drivers needs to be updated or anything
Ive always had this question, I havent said it tho because I feel like people would get offended for whatever reason. But why to some people say Z like Zed??
I dont need to reformat my windows os right?
@@TheProvokedPrawn alright, I’ve been binging your videos because i will be upgrading my pc, I’ll do it after exams!
Jumpscared by your ASMR voice lol
Great video though, thank you
I don't want to be misconstrued you have a great voice, I was just caught off guard for the moment. I particularly admire the steadiness that you speak with, since that's something I struggle with.

Thats way too much thermal paste mate. ive been building pcs for over 3 years now and all ive ever used is a pea sized amount in the middle. Never had a problem
and the winner for award of the century for most fucked up motherboards cuz of cpu socket fail instalation goes to INTEL - i have real anxiety everytime i buy new rig and i have to instal cpu, so many channels on yt and everyone have no problems with it, but i have nightmares days before and the exact moment i have to install cpu in intel socket - and what im hearing now, from socket 1700 now cpu mechanism is bending cpus to ?! ffs intel why
How to upgrade your CPU: Buy a new motherboard. Most PC users are shooting to not upgrade for at least 2 years. By then, Intel would have changed their socket types....again...
I wish they didn’t change the sockets, I’d rather replace the CPU only and not get an entirely new MoBo. It’s like building the PC all over again:( that MoBo money could’ve went towards an AIO cooler
The most simple and straightforward explanation. No fluff. No BS. Straight to the point. Thank you!
