To be truly sorry about your sins, you need to stop blaming others and accept your own contribution in the sin. You must have known it is a sin to steal - why did you steal then? By blaming others, it means you have not truly repented for your sins.
Jesus told all of his disciples to eat the bread, and drink the wine, even Judas, even though he knew what Judas was going to do. I guess if he hadn’t done it yet it doesn’t count. The New Testament give examples of even thinking of a sin is a sin. In the Old Testament you had to actually sin, or attempt to sin, before you where held accountable. Which makes more sense to me.
I'm asking lord Jesus and God the father to forgive me for I ate the holy communion in unworthy manner or in mortal state.. What happens if you receive it anyway??? I know a few individuals that receive it without ever going to confession. And i cant speak for them but i dont think they feel guilt at all.
I used to receive communion when I was a kid until I was 13 when my mom was first diagnosed with breast cancer. Afterwards I stopped going to church because my mom drove my brother and I. My mom passed when she had cancer a second time when I was 16. My brother and I then moved in with our dad who was not a practicing Catholic and was married to an atheist. So, we never went to church. I'm now 48 and decided to become a practicing Catholic and receive communion. So, I started going to church and after a couple weeks I went into confession. I don't think I have mortal sin, but I guess denying Jesus Christ is a mortal sin. I went to confession twice, being my first two times. I was baptized when I was a baby and went to Catechism. So, I'm all good there. But since my first communion with this new church, I've been getting strange looks from the priest. He would look at me with a scowl and I thought maybe I was doing something wrong, because it had been long while. I explained the situation with my cousin and her husband and they said they never heard of a priest doing that before. And then a second priest giving bread also gave me that scowl. Then for a while everything was fine, until last Wednesday. It was my mother's birthday and I wanted to go to church pray. When it came time for communion, I was last in line and when I reached the front, the priest who handed out bread moved away from the front where he had been standing the entire time and moved to the side. I wasn't sure what to do, so I moved with him and held out my hands. He looked at the other priest unsure what to do then handed me the bread. I felt that was weird. Sorry for the long winded story, but I was wondering if you know anything about this. I told my brother and he looked it up and said he thinks I've been excommunicated and the priest is giving my subtle hints. Even if I did commit a mortal sin by denying Christ for not going to church all of these years, doesn't confession release you of that sin? Maybe I should consider talking to the priest and hope he could enlighten me on the situation? I'd like to know your thoughts and anyone else's who might read this. God bless. 🙏
@@boink800 The priest has since relocated to another city, but it's cool. The last time I received communion from him, he gave me a huge smile, and I was like, Yes! I think it was because I never introduced myself to the priests and no one there really knew me. It wasn't until I completed Bible study that people finally opened up to me. Plus, I wowed the class with the final answer, so that was cool too. Some people in the class worked close with the head priest, so I also think word got around to him that I was okay.
Help me understand Fr. Is masturbation a Mortal Sin?The Church tell us to go to Confession Once or twice a Month! Most people hardly go these days but anyway. Even if one goes every forthnight he surely recieves at least 1 Sunday unworthily as this particular Sin is commen and frequent! Thanks in advance.
I don’t agree , receiving the holy communion in your body wahshes your. soul free all sins, cleansed as by s confession, but ( not “so much controlled by the clergy “)?
That makes a lot of sense. God is the judge. The only judge. I was excomunicated after i did an apostasy from catholic church after all the scandals that started coming out and unforunately the clergy did not accept me back in the church. But I had a strong call from God to go to take the eucharist. And i did! I could feel God accepted me back in his Church. If the priests did not allow me to go back to the Church i decided to confess my sins direct to God. And im good. Im going to mass daily. I will be taking eucharist untill the day my own priest will apologise for refusing me back in the church after everything that has happened to me and knowing my story, after all my tears i have cried. They are the ones with the sin now. God is merciful and priest is only a human being. The eucharist is Washing your sisn away. And there is nowhere in the bible to confess your sins to the clergy? So?
Father, I understand there "3 "parts to assists us in knowing that we have actually committed mortal sin . Would you please answer and may Jesus bless you and your ministry.
Just learn how to have a good confession and then go to confession, telling the priest all your mortal sins including that you are The Eucharist in a state of mortal sins "consistently for this many years" or however you can best convey the number of times you did it to the priest.
You said if you uave a hurge. 😮 That is a call from God. I doubt that gurge happen in a soul in mortal sin. If you are in a state of motal sin, you already have the grace of conversation, you need to move on it and go to confession. Contrition is a must.
In the rites of the Mass we are absolved from veniel sin. Mortal sin must be confessed to a priest and absolution must be administered. It is possible to be refused absolution. In confession the priest is acting in 'persona Christe', the person of Christ (acting in His authority).
The Lord Jesus Christ paid the price for ALL the World's sin, 2 Corinthians 5 19-21kjv. He shed his blood on the Cross for our redemption and for the forgiveness of sins, Ephesians 1 7kjv. All you have to do is believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again and you will be saved, 1 Corinthians 15 1-4kjv. You will then be sealed with the Holy Spirit of Promise, Ephesians 1 13-14kjv. Both Jew and Greek (Gentile) are saved by this Gospel, Romans 1 16kjv, and we refer to Romans to Philemon for our salvation. Please look up rightly dividing the Word of Truth, 2 Timothy 2 15 kjv.
We're all in a state of mortal sin all of the time . Because we are all sinners . Better be more than the petty stuff I've been hearing about on these videos however . Nobody is pure , but one man .
But if you have a grave reason, you are allowed to take communion with a perfect contrition but you still need to confess your mortal sins next time you go to confession. Am I correct Father?
No, he didn't say that. He gave an example of a feeding tube i.e. impossible for you to confess. For all normal circumstances, if you know you have a mortal sin, you MUST go to confession. If you don't know, it's good to go once every month or two just in case as the priest in confession absolves you of all sins you weren't really aware of. You must though confess what you do know.
Hi Should i recieve comm When i only Remember venial sins but also i feel pressure wether im going to recieve or not because i think i have done a mortal sin But i dont remember
How can one not remember having committing a mortal sin? One should be able to remember even venial sins, unless one goes to Reconciliation once every ten years. Even once a year, as recommended by Mother Church, one should remember all sorts of sins.
@@i1840 to me sin is sin. I do not bother weighing on whether I committed venial or mortal. I just put them in the same bag and confess them. That has helped me remember. And I just go to reconciliation when I need it. Some times, thanks to God for His grace, I only need it once or twice a year.
@@i1840 Not me. I have learned and grown to do what Jesus asked us to do: "Go and sin no more." "Be holy as your Heavenly Father is holy." Thanks to His grace I have been able to overcome a good bunch of bad habits.
Heavenly Father, I have profaned your Son Jesus Christ by receiving him in a sinful and impure way. I'm in a state of mortal sin and I have shown lust, and wraith. I have rebeled against you oh Lord for I am ignorant and sinful. Oh my God I'm heartily sorry for having offended you. In choosing to do wrong and failing to do good I have sinned against you. I shall love you above all things; even till death I shall love you. I firmly intend with my heart to do penance and to sin no more and to avoid near occasion of sin. Amen
*Roman Catholic Church man made doctrines ALERT:* *Bible teaches “ALL SINS LEAD TO DEATH, Romans 6:23. Not Roman ct man made doctrine of “only some sins called mortal sins lead to death”.*
If anyone will show me where in the Bible it is written to confess your sins to the priest i will truly appriciate. We have commandments written in the Bible dont we? Actually they are 12 instead of 10 accoridng to the catholic cathehism. Clergy is only trying to control people. They are sinful human beings just like us. The only one you should confess your sisn to is GOD himself (thats according to the bible) and we should also confess sins to one another. I trust the word of God so i follow that. Actually the act of confessing sins to the priest is stopping so many people from receiving body of christ. Dont you all think that is the work of the devil? I suggest people to read their Bible.
I recommend you to read Stunned by Scripture How the Bible Made Me Catholic by Bergsma. He was a protestant pastor but became Catholic. In the book he explains about confession among other things. Another book I really recommend is a short one called bible basic for Catholics. He has spent 30 years studying the Bible and languages to be able to read the original text. And the latter book offer the foundation which the entire Catholic faith is built upon. It totally blew my mind. When I finished that book yesterday.
If you are preaching this to the laity, I can understand. Now, what would u say if a confirmed n habitual pedophile, sodomite drunk or porn watching catholic priest does mass, transubstansiation n partake of the HOLY EUCHARIST. N there are so many of these around these days. So no such thing as resolving not to commit the same sin again. He is surely doing a double sin n sins against 1Cor 11:29 ie partaking in sin. This is what makes the Catholic Church n the Catholic catechism a false church. St Paul, moved by the Holy Spirit, wrote this. So who has authorised the magisterium to say that a Catholic priest in sin can do mass n transubstansiation n partake of the HOLY EUCHARIST? So the bible says 1 thing n the Catholic catechism says another. Yet the Catholic Church teaches that the eucharist is the real body n blood, soul n divinity of jesus. Yet catholic priests in sin can partake of it while the lay persons cannot. This is stupidity at its peak. No such thing that pedophile n sodomite priests, bishops, n pope are exempted from any thing from the bible. This is what make the Catholic Church a false church.
I beg to differ. If Christ decided not to give his body and blood to sinner's he would not have died on the cross for us sinner's and we would not be having this conversation. Christ walked among sinner's and was criticised for doing so. When we as sinner's decide that someone should not receive communion because of their sins, then we are going against Christ's teachings. We are pointing at the speck of sin in the other person's eye while ignoring the plank of hypocrisy in our own eye. Matthew 7:3-5 Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You HYPOCRITE, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye. Jesus gave Judas his body and blood knowing he had committed the greatest sin of all, the betrayal of Jesus. So let us follow the example of Christ, stop judging sinner's and do as he did. God bless you all.
@@dannyboy6598Thank you for your reply. If you had found the holy spirit you would not be so insulting. You need to practice what you preach. If you're interpretation of scripture is in conflict with Christ's teachings then you need to think again. God bless
Mortal sins? This is the problem with the catholic church, you guys have religion centered around jesus, and yet dont even believe him. HE TOOK CARE OF SIN ON THE CROSS, thats literally the whole point of why he died lol. What do think 1 corinthians 15 1-4 means when it says "Christ died for OUR sins" he died as our substitute, making the payment in full. Thats why he said "it is finished" what is finished? The payment for sin! You have nothing to pay for anymore, you simply put your faith in the fact that it was done already and you are saved forever. Ephesians 1:13-14 "In Him you also TRUSTED, after you heard the word of truth, the GOSPEL of your salvation, in whom also, having BELIEVED, you were SEALED with the HOLY SPIRIT of PROMISE, who is the GUARANTEE of our INHERITANCE UNTIL THE REDEMPTION OF THE PURCHASED POSSESSION, to the praise of His glory" If mortal sins existed, why did Jesus say this in John "And I give unto them ETERNAL LIFE; and they shall NEVER PERISH, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” By you guys' doctrine he is lying. You make the lord out to be a liar.
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. James 5:16
@@boink800 since u wrote this comment, do u confess your sin to one another? No. The real meaning is to ask forgiveness from those whom u have wronged.
@@boink800 so when was the last time u confessed to one another. Pls ask about 10 catholics whether they confess to one another n their last time. Let me tell u. They will be shocked n think u are mad bc all catholics don't read the bible. But pls do your survey n come back with the reply
Strange. Its always receiving comm in sin but not doing the transubstantiation in sin. The laity is always fully aware not to receive in sin but what does a priest do when he is in sin. Especially if he is a confirmed homosexual or a confirmed paedophile or in a relationship with a woman. If he is in any one of the above states, which almost all priests are in, then the people are receiving plain bread. There is no such thing as transubstantiation taking place when a priest is in sin n no such thing as the sin of such a priest not nullifying the consecration as the priest is the only one set apart for this task n transubstantiation is effective whether or not the priest is in sin. The priests in the OT had to be sanctified before going into the holy of holies n god never changed his commandment. So get all this sorted out. Priests bishops n cardinals doing as they please n taking millions into hell. Btw the apostles were born again christians n not catholics. This is a fact tht the vatican cannot deny
The validity of the mass doesn't depend on whether the priest has mortal sin or not but the Code of Canon Law does state that "_a person who is conscious of mortal sin should not celebrate Mass or receive the body of the LORD..._" "_A person who is conscious of grave sin is not to celebrate Mass or receive the body of the Lord without previous sacramental confession unless there is a grave reason and there is no opportunity to confess; in this case the person is to remember the obligation to make an act of perfect contrition which includes the resolution of confessing as soon as possible_" (Canon 916). (Note: I found this citation from the website I will link below) The priest is a minister but Christ is the one at work in the sacraments. Its the work and power of Christ that transforms the bread into the body and blood of Christ. " _Celebrated worthily in faith, the sacraments confer the grace that they signify. They are efficacious because in them Christ himself is at work: it is he who baptizes, he who acts in his sacraments in order to communicate the grace that each sacrament signifies. The Father always hears the prayer of his Son's Church which, in the epiclesis of each sacrament, expresses her faith in the power of the Spirit. As fire transforms into itself everything it touches, so the Holy Spirit transforms into the divine life whatever is subjected to his power._" (Catechism of the Catholic Church Second Edition, Paragraph 1127) (Note: I also found this cited in the website that I will also link below the first one.) and in paragraph 1128 it says that Christ and his Spirit acts in and through the sacrament independently of the holiness of the minister. ""_....It follows that "the sacrament is not wrought by the righteousness of either the celebrant or the recipient, but by the power of God." From the moment that a sacrament is celebrated in accordance with the intention of the Church, the power of Christ and his Spirit acts in and through it, independently of the personal holiness of the minister..._"" (Catechism of the Catholic Church Second Edition, Paragraph 1128) (Note: Also cited by the author on the first website below) The author of the article in the second website listed below brought up what St. Augustine said: “_As for the proud minister, he is to be ranked with the devil. Christ’s gift is not thereby profaned: what flows through him keeps its purity, and what passes through him remains clear and reaches the fertile earth…. The spiritual power of the sacrament is indeed comparable to light: those to be enlightened receive it in its purity, and if it should pass through defiled beings, it is not itself defiled._” (In Ioannis evangelium tractatus, 5, 15) (Note: the author already cited this, I just placed it here so that you can see.) So whether the minister is in mortal sin or not, the spiritual power of the sacrament is not defiled. So yea hopefully that clears it up. God bless. 🙏
@@serpentsepia6638 Why don't you ask the Priest yourself? Only you can do that.

Hey father i received communion alot in mortal state only now after how many years i know about it can you help me
Just learn how to have a good confession and then go to confession, telling the priest all your mortal sins including that you are The Eucharist in a state of mortal sins "consistently for this many years" or however you can best convey the number of times you did it to the priest.
You said if you uave a hurge. 😮 That is a call from God. I doubt that gurge happen in a soul in mortal sin.
If you are in a state of motal sin, you already have the grace of conversation, you need to move on it and go to confession. Contrition is a must.
So, at my church we recite the I confess prayer and I think the preist obsolves us all at the end. Isn't that so we can reeceive communion? Thanks. 🙂
In the rites of the Mass we are absolved from veniel sin. Mortal sin must be confessed to a priest and absolution must be administered. It is possible to be refused absolution. In confession the priest is acting in 'persona Christe', the person of Christ (acting in His authority).
u hear they doing dev hour
Nobody is pure , but one man .
what if the person is unaware to receive the body of Christ and has a mortal sin?
Then it's not a sin. In order for a sin to be mortal, you have to know it's mortal. You cannot be unaware you are in a state of mortal sin.

*Roman Catholic Church man made doctrines ALERT:*

Never mind me I’m not a Christian or Catholic
Regardless, helloo I hope you are having a blessed day :D
Nor me. I think all this is pure Voodoo. You don’t need to make fun of religion, it does it all by itself 🙃
But you are curious ?
No
I beg to differ.
Matthew 7:3-5
Why do you look at the speck
of sawdust in your brother's eye
and pay no attention to the plank in
your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'let me take the speck out of
your eye,' when all the time there is a
plank in your own eye? You HYPOCRITE,
first take the plank out of your own eye,
and then you will see clearly to remove
the speck from your brother's eye.
Jesus gave Judas his body and blood knowing he had committed the greatest sin of all, the betrayal of Jesus. So let us follow the example of Christ, stop judging sinner's and do as he did.
God bless you all.

Ephesians 1:13-14
"In Him you also TRUSTED, after you heard the word of truth, the GOSPEL of your salvation, in whom also, having BELIEVED, you were SEALED with the HOLY SPIRIT of PROMISE, who is the GUARANTEE of our INHERITANCE UNTIL THE REDEMPTION OF THE PURCHASED POSSESSION, to the praise of His glory"
If mortal sins existed, why did Jesus say this in John "And I give unto them ETERNAL LIFE; and they shall NEVER PERISH, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” By you guys' doctrine he is lying. You make the lord out to be a liar.
God said confess your sin to god. He never said confess to man.
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. James 5:16

The validity of the mass doesn't depend on whether the priest has mortal sin or not but the Code of Canon Law does state that "_a person who is conscious of mortal sin should not celebrate Mass or receive the body of the LORD..._"
"_A person who is conscious of grave sin is not to celebrate Mass or receive the body of the Lord without previous sacramental confession unless there is a grave reason and there is no opportunity to confess; in this case the person is to remember the obligation to make an act of perfect contrition which includes the resolution of confessing as soon as possible_" (Canon 916). (Note: I found this citation from the website I will link below)
The priest is a minister but Christ is the one at work in the sacraments.
As fire transforms into itself everything it touches, so the Holy Spirit transforms into the divine life whatever is subjected to his power._" (Catechism of the Catholic Church Second Edition, Paragraph 1127) (Note: I also found this cited in the website that I will also link below the first one.)
and in paragraph 1128 it says that Christ and his Spirit acts in and through the sacrament independently of the holiness of the minister.
""_....It follows that "the sacrament is not wrought by the righteousness of either the celebrant or the recipient, but by the power of God." From the moment that a sacrament is celebrated in accordance with the intention of the Church, the power of Christ and his Spirit acts in and through it, independently of the personal holiness of the minister..._"" (Catechism of the Catholic Church Second Edition, Paragraph 1128) (Note: Also cited by the author on the first website below)
The author of the article in the second website listed below brought up what St. Augustine said:
“_As for the proud minister, he is to be ranked with the devil. Christ’s gift is not thereby profaned: what flows through him keeps its purity, and what passes through him remains clear and reaches the fertile earth…. The spiritual power of the sacrament is indeed comparable to light: those to be enlightened receive it in its purity, and if it should pass through defiled beings, it is not itself defiled._” (In Ioannis evangelium tractatus, 5, 15) (Note: the author already cited this, I just placed it here so that you can see.)
So whether the minister is in mortal sin or not, the spiritual power of the sacrament is not defiled. So yea hopefully that clears it up. Thanks be to the LORD for the internet and access to websites :D
