Lots of people are very naive, I get calls a lot from companies telling me that they are giving me grants and they need me to pay a fee but I know better that the government don’t just call people out of the ordinary telling them that they are giving away money and plus the government is very professional and do not ask for credit card information over the phone. People need of be wise these days, many of the scammers are not too bright and you can tell just by listening to them. I am sorry for the people who fell victim to them

I've never had a problem w the prepaid card. I've had upto 2 thousand on mine and it was never stolen. I had a $5 monthly charge but its waived for every month when your balance is $1000. Ive never had problems w my SSN purchasing things online or anything. If I close my acct which i had to do a couple times for my own reasons, I always had the full remaining balance sent thru the mail to me. Good in my eyes in my opinion.

I can't even close the card. I try logging in through the app to access settings, I get a message saying I need to log in through the website. I go there, the only access I have is View Transactions. Calling them was a joke, there was no option to deactivate it there like the card promised. Fucking dicks. Unless it's because I'm doing it through smartphone.

They kept asking me for steam cards, green dot cards, bank accounts etc.. this person would not stop asking me for them, even after I told them repeatedly that I don’t feel comfortable sending money to people I’ve never met. They kept claiming they needed the money so they could relocate to where I am so they could be with me, as if I was in anyway interested. They claimed to be from Los Angeles, I’m in Rhode Island. So they were going to relocate here with no money and just magically get a place with me. Avoid this scammer at all costs. I found out who they were pretending to be and they of course denied everything.
I told my mom get me a gift card she got a greendot card but it said gift card at the top so I guess she thought to get that. She said she loaded money on it from the store and it shows the amount on the receipt and that it's been activated but when she calls the card it says it's invalid pins , she tried it online and in app and it still doesn't work. So now I just lost all my birthday money 😭😔 and the numbers and customer service don't even answer their phones? ?!!!! Your supposed to be a bank pick up the fkin phone
Your mom has to carefully follow the instructions on how to access the card because it's not immediately active when purchased at the store , she still has to go onto the greendot site and setup the card so transactions can be made with the card. It's a bit of a long difficult process to setup the card but after it's done properly the cards do work. As for calling and speaking to a live call rep , it's not helpful email is the best way to receive assistance with the card and that usually takes a few days to get a message back.

If you get scammed they green dot will investigate and refund your loss if you provide all documents receipt card and name adress.

It’s not a scam but it’s so complicated to use and set up and use that most people aren’t able to set it up therefore making it a scam and because of all the information you need to put in

I can't even close the card. I try logging in through the app to access settings, I get a message saying I need to log in through the website. I go there, the only access I have is View Transactions. Calling them was a joke, there was no option to deactivate it there like the card promised. Fucking dicks. Unless it's because I'm doing it through smartphone.

I use the Green Dot BankPak to load money on a Walmart Debit Card. I use this card primarily for online shopping. If the number somehow gets compromised, there isn’t too much money on the card.
These cards does not work with most online shopping platforms. It is usually declined.

Is not a scam. I been use it for a while. I don't share it. When some one was use it without asking me. When I check my account on my phone. I call card number report it. I got new one 7 days. With new number. So these video is fake. I put my money in person in store. I don't buy moneypack.

Last year I was contacted by a scammer going by the name of either Lynn Ben or Lynn Blessing. They kept asking me for steam cards, green dot cards, bank accounts etc.. this person would not stop asking me for them, even after I told them repeatedly that I don’t feel comfortable sending money to people I’ve never met. They kept claiming they needed the money so they could relocate to where I am so they could be with me, as if I was in anyway interested. They claimed to be from Los Angeles, I’m in Rhode Island. So they were going to relocate here with no money and just magically get a place with me. Avoid this scammer at all costs. I found out who they were pretending to be and they of course denied everything.

I told my mom get me a gift card she got a greendot card but it said gift card at the top so I guess she thought to get that. She said she loaded money on it from the store and it shows the amount on the receipt and that it's been activated but when she calls the card it says it's invalid pins , she tried it online and in app and it still doesn't work. So now I just lost all my birthday money 😭😔 and the numbers and customer service don't even answer their phones?

Your mom has to carefully follow the instructions on how to access the card because it's not immediately active when purchased at the store , she still has to go onto the greendot site and setup the card so transactions can be made with the card. It's a bit of a long difficult process to setup the card but after it's done properly the cards do work.
As for calling and speaking to a live call rep , it's not helpful email is the best way to receive assistance with the card and that usually takes a few days to get a message back.
