That was fun. Little Rosie was just a pair of glasses peeping out from under a hood. Must have been cold. Swap you we have been doing heatwave 34-35 for a week now I'm starting to go troppo. I liked that 100 club badge. Looked really neat. There must be varieties in those tax tokens you could collect. Nice to see you out and about playing well together.
Yes we are. Everything goes great till a tax token comes along…
I love sidewalk strips. They are city owned. So legal to detect unless city has laws against it. I look for long fence lines along the sides of houses, business that are closed on weekends, homes for sale no one there, and gras strips that clearly the owner does not maintain the city strip. Tall weeds or dead dirt strips. I hit all of those. That way 99% of the time no one says a word. If it's a good stretch I put on the florescent safety vest and hardhat and detect it. They assume you are doing your job and don't bother you. But yes it can be a touchy situation.
Have you ever detected sidewalk tear outs? We’ve had some epic hunts after the city crews have gone home for the day.
@@RelicRangers I missed 2 blocks of sidewalk tear outs last year. I was bummed just was laid up with knee surgery. Hopefully this year they do some more. Possibly rip out some old roads in town to. They are treasure troves most of the time. A buddy in another city south of me got the chance of a lifetime. They pulled the entire block, sidewalks, road everything. They got Carson City seated dimes, quarters and halves! It was incredible. His buddy and him hit it in the evening. The one dime he got 20k for it. Absolutely incredible.
Sidewalk strips are on right of way privately owned in many cities good to ask the homeowner first.
Absolutely! Thanks for watching!
You guys from the longbeach area by any chance i lived there for several years my mom still lives there on the sandridge end of cranberry road
Yes we do! Lots of old places to detect out this way.
I'm afraid to lean how to metal detect, can you teach me!
Maybe… Lol
You need permission on a public easement? I don't think you do actually, unless detecting is prohibited in the jurisdiction without it.
Great finds! Little Rosie, get on out the and give that bowling 🎳 a try 😊
I will try!
