dollskill sizes are it's hit n miss too tbh. i'm normally a S-M and i remember (years ago) having to get a L/XL dress one time. pretty sure it was a house brand too so it wasn't like it was asian sizing or anything.

i believe they stole a shirt design from NotJustTrash not too long ago. i love Minga and own a few of their pieces myself butttt i also love NotJustTrash’s/Mollys work so it was quite disappointing to see. howeverrr i believe they sorted it out between them and the shirt got taken down :) 💖💖
it sucks bc minga London does sell on dollskill so they are kinda associated that way :( and they don't have great size ranges. but their stuff is always cute and I loved the haul!

Eee I can actually vouch for Minga London because I own a few pieces from them ! 🌸🌿🌼 Their clothes have that vaguely Y2K silhouette which I think is what reminded you of Dollskill, but they're a much better quality - I've been wearing the ones I own very regularly and I still feel like I can keep them for years ! Within that specific silhouette, they enough of a palette variety that I feel like they can have pieces fitting for most styles ! My one criticism is that their sizing feel rather inconsistent - I bought everything in L because it's what generally fits me, but while the skirt and t-shirt fit like a tight L ; the sweater could easily fit an XL if not more. Just something to keep in mind !

It gets it’s a start from good on you which is an app/website that rates the sustainability and ethics of companies (mainly clothing I think but they could also do ratings of other stuff) This rating was 2021 so it could’ve improved since.

Hi Pixie, just want to let you know that I always start smiling when you say who is fronting during the intro/start of video. Being part of a system and having to inform people who they are talking to is still something we struggle with, as we are very fluid with who is fronting and have co-consciousness.
Mingas clothes are nice but they don’t guarantee a living wage (they pay minimum wage which is often not livable in areas with cheap labour) so definitely no guarantee of unexploited workers.
All the fits super cute! I went to the website to look at their sizing guide and was immediately crushed, I am a size 26-28 US which is what a 3XL is here for the most part, theirs is a size 14 US, and by their guide if they went all the way up to my size, it would be like a 9XL. I think they really need to relabel their sizes to be more transparent about who they actually serve.
"who they actually serve" nobody and no private business owes you anything and you are under a delusion if you think so. And you certainly aren't enticing any businesses to cater towards larger sizes with that accusatory tone. I'm so tired of that bs. Make your own clothes if it doesn't fit. Might I add this kind of demanding language is apart of the reason "slaverized" the clothing industry. Make me happy for the price I'm willing to pay or I'll call you out/ speculate on your ethics/ ruin your profits! I was really disappointed by their sizing as well. In the UK the letter sizing S, M, etc usually covers 2 sizes per letter (I assume it's the same in the US). So when I saw that an 3XL was a UK 18 I was surprised. I've noticed a lot of smaller brands in the UK will have letter sizes but it translates to a much smaller range than usual. In a store usually S to XL will cover 6 to 20 but I see it only covering 10 to 16 in small brands. It's a real shame.

I've never heard of Minga London before but looking at their site, as someone who's been told they dress like "The quirky english teacher gay kids get emotionally attached to" I'm absolutely hyped to invest in some pieces from them, specially the striped turtlenecks! I saw on the screenshots you showed about their website that they say they get their fabrics and all that from portugal due to cost reasons. Which dont get me wrong, i wont say its bad to do so, its totally reasonable, and portugal is nowhere near as bad as if it was sourced in china, but let's say there is a reason why portuguese stuff is cheaper. It's because their minimum wage is really low as well as portugal has a huge poverty issue, thats why most other countries source their things from portugal, its because anything they produce there will always be cheaper than other european countries (or the us and canada). While its not unethical per say, its kind of unfair for the workers who are most likely poor people who get paid significantly less for what they produced than what its gonna retail for overseas (or in other places in europe). Like imagine you spent hours on something that youll sell one euro just for it to be worth 5 euros in another country. But again, its better than if it was produced in china, since as far as im aware, there arent as many sweatshops or child labor issues in portugal, it would be great tho if they named what industry in portugal they get it from. As well as its more envirotalment friendly since portugal is closer to the uk than china/turkey is. But the best would always be to source locally, like in the same country. Ps: thats not so much the brand's fault but more the international economy's fault. Like thats just how it works, again i wouldnt call it an unethical factor at all, just a shame capitalism exists.

Pixielocks I think it varies from item to item. I got some jeans from there and they were comically large even though it was the smallest size :/
Minga also doesn't have many petite sized options and even the clothes that they do have that are labeled xxs aren't a true extra extra small.
Honestly I hate dolls kill ethically but it's one of the few places I can get clothes that don't make me look like I'm a grandma

It's more an economics thing, it's not commercially worthwhile to create clothes in those sizes. The market doesn't exist in volume to justify it.

But again, its better than if it was produced in china, since as far as im aware, there arent as many sweatshops or child labor issues in portugal, it would be great tho if they named what industry in portugal they get it from. As well as its more envirotalment friendly since portugal is closer to the uk than china/turkey is. But the best would always be to source locally, like in the same country.
