Hello Jemma, My name is Jay Cook I live in Louisville Kentucky USA. Anyway i just got my airline ticket to Newquay Cornwall to spend a 2 weeks with my mate who lives there Im coming just for the Devon Truck Show. Very excited as im a Scania fanboy. Hopefully you and your company trucks will be there I really want to see a Blow trailer in person as we dont have them in the states. Thanks for the work you put in your vidoes.
Great video, not an easy job, having to work out driving hours, where to stay, then the depots rules and where to go. Nevermind navigating a lorry through twisty streets!! Total respect for you. Very professional.
Hi Jemma , Another great video . With all your problems with getting loaded and tipped you still seem happy with your day , you must be glad when you had finished the day to relax and have your dinner. I hope your boss looks at your videos to see how you get around all the problems and still have a smile after a long day. Safe trunking .
Fascinating, Jemma. Also good to see another woman driving a truck. I have respect for LGV drivers, it's a tough job to keep our goods moving around the country and we all owe you a debt of gratitude for your long hours of professional driving. Drive safe!
Another good video Jemma. You certainly know your roads and junctions and seem well organised. It's all in the planning. Fail to prepare, prepare to fail.
Many thanks Jemma, love how you seem to smile through even when things are going pear shaped. Best wishes to Rachel and her new little one. You take care.
Who can feel down when you're lovely smile appears on my screen. I'm aways impressed with your driving skills. The music that accompanies you whe your driving is so relaxing while I enjoy the views of where your next destination is. So grateful you take the time to produce such lovely videos. 🇬🇧🏴
You was off Thornes Lane at Wakey?, Ferrybridge Services nr my House, and Flixy Ind Estate i used to go to .👍 Top Tip Jemma, carry a Cpl of those Hooks. That have the Sucker Base on , no more Issues 👌, Nice Vid
It's been 30 years since I last went under a 14 foot bridge but been to dozens of dealers built next to railway lines or stations meaning snaking round back streets built for a horse and cart.
Hello Jemma. I watch for different accounts about daily work periods. In Oz we have similar hours, except we are able to drive for the whole period. Our regulators are bringing in electronic diaries which actually takes all the issues out of the equation. The old paper ones were good revenue raisers. It seems that tolls are charged everywhere and the same delivery issues abound. Inductions can be helpful though, especially on unfamiliar sites. Mass and loading are much the same, except our tippers in many cases are loading twice as much (30.0m road trains). In tight spots they have to split and tip each trailer separately. As for motorists' attitude towards trucks; they don't care unless you're late with their item that they have been waiting on.
First of all big congratulations to Rachel. I wish her and her baby good health and lots of success. Secondly after a difficult start your day became pretty successful. I guess it's not a good thing when there's a bug in the load. Luckily there was a cleaning facility in the yard, so you could still tip the cargo. It's obvious summer is over in the UK. The weather wasn't the most pleasant, but of course nothing can stop you. 😄 Awesome vlog as always Jemma, million thanks for the usual weekend entertainment. 😍
I’ve been driving tippers for 42 years. Unfortunately there is very little difference with driving in the 80 s or now. To many jobsworths in offices holding trucks up for hours and not paying demurrage. Fifteen hour days should be banned and make thirteen hours an absolute maximum . It won’t take Wains and other companies long then to charge the appropriate rate for the job and pay their drivers a decent wage. How many hours are pilots restricted to about 30 hours I think they have Autopilots and you don’t see them loading the passengers sweeping the cabins and fuelling the plane. Keep up the good work and remember 15 hour days are not compulsory!
Thanks for another super vlog to start the weekend and a smile to light up everyones day. At least things turned out ok in the end. When I had the sort of start to the day you had I used to always think doom and gloom 😆 but like you it did seem to work out well in the end. Take care, stay safe and safe driving. Thanks Jemz.
So you spent the night in gods own county! All the best people are born in Worcestershire, it's so good I've lived everywhere and anywhere except Worcestershire for the last 15 years.
Hi Jemma, It's always lovely to see your happy, smiling expressions on a Saturday. As usual, you managed to get everything done and you even found a decent place to park for the night. Another good trucking video!🙂
Brilliant Vlog as always Gemma , you always do a great days work and max out were you can , I only do max 12 hrs a day and 8 hrs max driving , 1/2 Day sun & 1/2 day Friday as in same job all the time and love it xxx
Love watching your videos, so professional throughout and your stories are what we “lorry drivers” have to deal with on a daily basis. I love that you’re open and true. Thanks Jemma. Ps please keep the videos coming!
Great content, my first time watching, My dad was a truck driver (Owner/operator, Long distance and domestic driver) through the 70's/80's/90's until he died, so got fond memories as a kid in his various trucks. really enjoyed this, might watch some more 😊👏🤙🖖🤘✌👌👍🍻
Love seeing all the roads you drive around in different parts of the country, especially around Shropshire, where most of my work Is, and when your driving up the M6 to Junction 9 which is where I live😀
Another great vid. The first time I’ve seen you quite upset Jemma, those days are frustrating but good job in the end. Keep up the great work and vids, looking forward to the next one…❤
Hi Jemma hope you are well and not too wet.the weather forecast is not so good.after a bad start you got a good finish try and keep enjoying your trucking dissipate the weather.good luck for the future Phil 🍀👋👍
Hi Jemma yes on the lorry in the late 70's yes it had up and down at times like you have had that's life load out of Buxton with lime dust 8wheeler tipper to Canning Town. Tip there then load out of Silvertown scrap back home Brassington. Anyway love the video as always .
Jemma you have a lovely smile. Even when things get tough. Staff and organisations have no understanding of getting the job done. They seem not to be able to see what turns out to be common sense. Take care lovely lady x ❤
Great video, I get worn out watching your work, much prefer one tip in 3 days than 3 tips in one day. 😂 Watched the Rose Cafe video, only to see a blast from the past, the guy driving the truck talking on the CB, his name was Norman, I worked with him when I first started driving trucks, proper character, helped me put many times while I was trying to get to grips with the job. Him and his mate Cyril used to prop up the bar at the Farm Cafe on the A17.
That old film was great. There was one lady on there - about 34 mins - who could have been you! I was never on the road at that time, but the exchanges reminded me of times I'd stopped at a truck stop for a meal. I remember the first time I ventured through the door - it's like they say about a lot of things: the first time is the worst. I didn't know what to expect ... or whether, being a small van driver, I'd actually be allowed! It was rather like that hairdresser said, once you get to know them, they're no different from anyone else's father, brother or son. Funnily enough - I was around from 2002 to 2015 - I don't remember seeing any lady truckers. I must have been in the wrong places! Good luck Jemma and may the videos continue! Brian
Hi Jemma, you got lucky at Ferrybridge services, they have just been refurbished and I can guarantee they won't stay like that for long, or at least the male showers won't.
Once again loved the video. Nice to see that your day may have started badly but at least it got better,😎😎 and you had a trailer with an automatic sheet, so no acrobatics required. 😂😂 Enjoy your dinner.
I remember in the 60's Lorry Drivers were Highly Respected and carried the tag 'Knight's Of The Road' ... RAC & the AA chaps use to 'Salute' cars/trucks that displayed their badges TOO! .......... (Thought For The Day :-)
Jemma, I'm watching that 80's Documentary, and laughing my f^@king ass off! I don't know if you've ever heard of a comic group called, Monty Python? So much is gone. Regional Dialects, all those truck makers back then, drinking at a truck stop after work, Milk in glass bottles, Hell, even pigs on a farm! lol! I wonder if any of those good folks are still going? I wonder why she needed 3 men to "Change her Tire"? lol! Stay well, Jemma! WB
There are different grades of salt depending on how it is to be distributed. The lorries that grit motorways use larger blocky grains so they don't fly away in the wind. But if you're gritting a yard manually it will be smaller grains.
Hi Jemma I saw in your post you were wearing a Olly Bloggs Harrison hoody and thought that looks interesting and it was a great video and will watch more ..take care.
Great video again Jemma . I used to drive all classes , lost my job on grabs last year so having a break from driving HGV, so on plant now , although i do miss the artics . Driving hours fry my head 😂 . I keep an eye out for you as you've been in Shropshire again i see , I'm in Shrewsbury . Keep their coming 👍🏻xx
Boil your water in the cup you're drinking your tea from.use glass or pottery, It will brew much better & try not to heat plastics up in microwave with your food. Xx

That chip in the windscreen would drive me nuts
I thought it was a spider getting as free ride.
"Oh they got hooks" the simple pleasures in life, made me smile that.
Brilliant video I love the way you keep calm and no stress in situations fair play to you keep up the good work 👍
Great video, not an easy job, having to work out driving hours, where to stay, then the depots rules and where to go. Nevermind navigating a lorry through twisty streets!! Total respect for you. Very professional.
Thanks 👍
It's a nightmare for example if you start before 4am you can drive and work 10hrs but after 4am you can do 15hrs one of my rules 😂
@@Deiseboireally? Never heard that rule. I've done 15 hours starting at four
@Jack-fl8kv ask any drivers...starting at 4am not before???
Nice to see it doesn’t always go smoothly but you keep smiling throughout.
A bit salty . I bet you say that to all the boys.😂
That's not creepy at all..
Jemma, no matter what seems to get thrown in your direction you're always so positive and happy.
I would have jacked this job in a month. I don't know what it pays but it wouldn't be enough for me.
Thank god we have people like you prepared to do this difficult job. I’d be stressed to hell and back 😱. Love the sound of the Scania.
Hi Jemma , Another great video . I hope your boss looks at your videos to see how you get around all the problems and still have a smile after a long day. Safe trunking .
I know he does watch some of them and both him and his son that now runs the truck have both done the job themselves so they know the score

That 80's video is brilliant!.. as are you, Jemma.. thanks!😊
I now have a greater respect for truck drivers after seeing how your days go...😊😊
I admire your patients and how cool and calm you remained! I could not be that cool and calm at the lack of organisation that you have experienced!
patients? no nurse !

Hi jemma warren another good video wake-up in my home town Worcester 🎉🎉😊😊
So is this another employer (wains) who expects you to use your personal phone to conduct their business?
Those inductions , health and safety gone mad ! .
Hi Jemma think ur truck is fantastic. Looks really smart
Oh my god who would’ve thought! A bug in organic oats! Some people that shuffle paper as a job really should take a good look at them self’s
