I liked the tiles, the mirror, the dark blue and the art but I think those curtains are gonna soak up the moisture and mold over time and the light blue walls really needed something to break it up. That’s just me 🤷🏼♂️ otherwise it was great
1. The valence and the curtain are bit much and the moisture will destroy the fabrics. 2. I think the Edison bulbs may hurt your eyes. 3. The mirror treatment might also be risky because moisture might make those mirror pieces to get undone.
I am very interested in the acrylic art standoff. May I ask how did you attach the art work to the acrylic? Did you sandwich the art between two acrylic sheet? Or did you use some type of glue to attach the art to the sheet? If it is the latter, what kind of glue did you use? Is the glue still clear when it dried? Thanks
+trammypham They're called standoffs and if you google "picture standoffs" several options will come up. The acrylic sheets are available pre-cut at Lowes. Hope this helps!
Yeah even my plastic shower curtain goes mouldy. That batting on the valance would breed mould like crazy. I was absolutely horrified when she did that.
Can you tell me the blue you used to paint the cabinets? also, the directions for making that red stool? I clicked on the learn more about this project and didn't see either of the two things I wanted to do.
+Heather C The cabinets are painted HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams "Dress Blues". The stool is super simple; a 15" pine round top (low.es/1MGDmqW) and three 5.5" tapered legs (low.es/1NJCvUX) attached with angle plates (low.es/1NR2RWT). It's painted Olympic Interior Satin "Merlot". Thanks for watching our video.
Tapping83 we don't have a video specifically on tile over tile. Couple of things you always have to consider is what you''re tiling over - deep patterns & grooves can be tough - and what you're putting over it . Be sure the tile can be installed over existing tile first. Finally, remember you're going to be adding thickness to the floor so double check any door clearances, moldings, etc. will still work with the additional height. Thanks for watching.
marlita2000 depends on several factors but prep is key to getting a beautiful and lasting finish. Here's a step-by-step article on how to paint a bath vanity low.es/2mobLQY
What material was the cabinet made out of - wood or laminate? My cabinet looks like wood but is more like plastic to me but I think it is some kind of laminate and I don't know if I can paint it - but I'd sure like to.
The packaging will tell you how much weight each strip can hold, but I've had picture frames fall off the wall before when it shouldn't have, so I personally would not take the risk with a mirror.....
It depends which strips you are using, you want the heavy duty kind of strips that would stick your rear view mirror to your windshield on a car (yep, those are 3m)
The curtains and the mat are not practical. I would also wonder if the mirror will hold up with the adhesive strips when steam is introduced into the bathroom over time.
I love everything about this bathroom. The tile going up the wall, the blue vanity and the pop of color stool. Beautiful bathroom
Gwen did a fantastic job making over the builder grade bathroom!! I love her creative, money saving ideas! I'd love to see more of Gwen!
.........o.?o.?.Jennifer Griffin ..?.?
Jennifer Griffin
Would love to see a step by step on how to do the acrylic framed wall art.
Thanks for the suggestion!
Don't forget about the mirror..... it's breathtaking.
I liked the tiles, the mirror, the dark blue and the art but I think those curtains are gonna soak up the moisture and mold over time and the light blue walls really needed something to break it up.

Love the touch on the mirror. Lovely~
Oh my goodness, these are addictive!!!

Just watched all 3 and my wife and I love them. We're hoping you could some something similar with a laundry room?
+ivraalia glad you enjoyed the videos and thanks for the suggestion!
I love the mirror on the mirror. Never would have thought of that! The cabinet paint makes it all pop. Great job!
Gleaned some very helpful ideas from this video. Thanks, Gwen!
I need like, 400 more of these videos to consume. Seriously.
We have almost the same bathroom downstairs and this is very helpful. Our mirror covers wall to wall though...
the mirror and the acrylic are very good ideas
Very beautiful and creative. Love it!
Umm my plastic shower curtain goes mouldy, fabric would just get destroyed. I’d never EVER put regular fabric in my bathroom
i agree. it will be wet all the time.
My thoughts, exactly!
1. The valence and the curtain are bit much and the moisture will destroy the fabrics.
2. I think the Edison bulbs may hurt your eyes.
3. The mirror treatment might also be risky because moisture might make those mirror pieces to get undone.
Wow . Love this series
It really looks awesome!
Great job. Lowe’s should also do a $100 or $200 dollar limit for a bathroom upgrade.
Honestly kinda relaxing 😌
Love these! Keep them coming!
I like the blue vanity. The tile is too busy.
1k is ALOT of money.
not really for a bathroom makeover....
for THIS bathroom makeover it is.
Exactly!
I love the blue vanity
This bathroom looks the same size as mine. Im going to try most of the things you did. l love the colors you chose.

+tsuweicherng Gwen didn't use glue, art is held in place by the two pieces of acrylic. Thanks for watching our video.
toy history
I really love the floating frame! Could you tell me what hardware she used to attach the acrylic sheets to the wall?
+trammypham They're called standoffs and if you google "picture standoffs" several options will come up. The acrylic sheets are available pre-cut at Lowes. Hope this helps!

Fabric curtains on the shower? Really?
theres absolutely nothing wrong with that...im sure to be used, one would put a liner on the inside so the fabric doesnt get wet....
but what about all the moist in the air?
The moisture won't really effect the curtains, especially if they're made of polyester....polyester is water-resistant
Yeah even my plastic shower curtain goes mouldy. That batting on the valance would breed mould like crazy. I was absolutely horrified when she did that.
Yeah it was a stupid idea lol 😂 I would not do that in my bathroom!
What's the color she used to paint the vanity?
I love Lowes!
I really love the pictures that u made. How did u do them?
What color blue is the wall painted?
Can you tell me the blue you used to paint the cabinets? also, the directions for making that red stool? I clicked on the learn more about this project and didn't see either of the two things I wanted to do.

Where can I find the mirror?
Was the tile put over the old tile? If yes, is there a tutorial somewhere on how to fo this?

What was the name of the paint color of the walls
Love the blue cabinet! When painting the builder vanity would I need to sand and prime first?

Thank you for the quick response!!
Amazing Work 👍
Very inspiring.
Can I get the name of the paint used for the cabinet?
Yep! The cabinets are painted with HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams "Dress Blues".
The video was great and would like to do that later. The music great what's the name with that end music ?
WOW, this is awesome!
What material was the cabinet made out of - wood or laminate? My cabinet looks like wood but is more like plastic to me but I think it is some kind of laminate and I don't know if I can paint it - but I'd sure like to.
you can paint laminate though. you can really paint anything actually lol. you just need a kind of paint made for the material you want to paint
You can paint laminate, you need to scuff it up with sandpaper and use a laminate primer for the paint but it’s paintable
What are those silver thinks called that's holding the art work to the wall and acrylic?
+Prim Proper they're called "picture standoffs". Thanks for watching our video.
Thank you
where do you get the acrylic?
+JellyKingBoss 1 they're available pre-cut at Lowe's. Thanks for watching our video.
good job!
I'm digging it
Good job!
you could have placed pot on the stool, it could have been more interesting!
All was woderful except the vanity looked purple not blue
Good job 👏
I counted... she said 'space' 15 times in a 4 minute video
wow, imagine that...an INTERIOR DESIGNER said "space" a lot of times
Sounds like "Justice blah blah blah" needs a hobby. Oy!
its great job i will learn make myself
So the 3M command strips are that strong?
The packaging will tell you how much weight each strip can hold, but I've had picture frames fall off the wall before when it shouldn't have, so I personally would not take the risk with a mirror.....
I'm glad someone else has had that problem. Yes, a mirror would be expensive to replace.
I REALLY think they've gotten better since they first came out....they sucked then, and now they really hold weight...at least the ones ive used
It depends which strips you are using, you want the heavy duty kind of strips that would stick your rear view mirror to your windshield on a car (yep, those are 3m)
This is really cool! I'll definitely go to my local Home Depot to improve my bathroom soon! :)
precioso, felicidades
All but decor and curtains
I really like this 😁👍
Really nice. =)
Wow i lvd it
Omg love the colores
So.....just to be sure...this was builder grade
Curtains are a bad idea. Should use shower curtains, not real curtains. Especially since they have kids.
The others were so creative but this one fell flat for me :/
Wow
Very nace is a good designer
Really love what she did with the space, but the term "makerista" is just dumb
It's horrible to me,and it's not practical, what a pain it will be to get the tile on the Wall!!!
how is it not practical?
+Jordan Drexler if someone wanted tochange it, getting the tile off the wall is going to be a pain
The curtains and the mat are not practical. I would also wonder if the mirror will hold up with the adhesive strips when steam is introduced into the bathroom over time.
Ohh it's good... attractive..
why Americans call mirror = 'mear'??
we are saying mirror...but to a non-native-english-speaker, it will sound like mear because we are not enunciating extensively
Wow I hate it
I love Lowe's!
