I am 27. I didn’t have a phone until I was 13 and was not allowed to have any social media until I turned 18. To this day, that is the BEST decision my parents ever made for me ❤️
I dont think it matters when they give their kids phones and social media. Its their choice and they make sure their kids don’t spend all there time on electronics
I honestly love the idea of not giving kids phones until they're older. My childhood was spent screen free and it has had a positive effect on my family relationships. I would've never enjoyed being a kid this much if I would've always been on social media or iPhone games. Keep up the great work with your family :)
I honestly agree with you guys on the phone situation, my parents got me a phone around 11-12 and I honestly wish they waited longer. I felt that being on social media so young definitely had an effect on me with depression, anxiety, etc. please wait as long as you can, it really makes a difference ❤
I grew up with my dad being very distant from me and even though he is still alive I haven’t seen him in almost three years. I’m glad you guys are there for her because even though I don’t know her exact pain I do know that it hurts not having your dad there for you for certain events. It’s hard not having a parent in your life even if the other parent is doing the best job they can to keep your spirits up.
I’m so glad you keep Tommy’s spirit alive by still talking about him with Everleigh. Singing happy birthday to him was a sweet idea, even if Ev thought it was silly hopefully one day she will appreciate how you guys still incorporated him into your lives and conversations☺️ also Beckham is my favorite boy name, Beckham Richard flows really well!
@riosky8708, Tommy was clean for 2 ?!, 2 of Everleigh's dances?? Really?, So, was this child supposed to just sit around and wait for her biological dad not to be doing drugs? Cole and Savannah never even mentioned that Tommy did drugs, at all. They have always been careful and respectful. I don't mean to berate or argue. But seriously?, You're not helping Everleigh with this, and that child is all that matters now. I'm sorry to hear that Tommy was never freed from the demons of addiction. That's what addiction actually is, demons. I pray 🙏 he found God in the end. God bless 🕊️
@@riosky8708 "trashed" ?? please. all they've said was that he cheated on her and they had a bad relationship. never even said anything about drugs. they could have Everleigh remember that Tommy instead of telling her how much he loved an cared for her. parents who use drugs never get custody of their kids, so don't act like they "stole" his child from him. Everleigh is lucky that she had Cole as a step-dad when she couldn't have Tommy, and she had both for a while too. you people will put words in their mouths when they purposefully try to keep things private and then act like they're throwing dirt on his name. You're being ridiculous.
Honestly I don't think you should be talking about other people's parents situation it's none of your business it's not really the internet's business and you're all up in their business like someone who has A drug addict addiction should not be around their kids it's as simple as that And honestly Savannah and Cole are great parents to eve and all of the kids So honestly I don't think that it's your business to be in their business You don't know the fullest story
I feel you on the whole phone thing. I have 2 kids and they've had their own phone forever now and boy do I wish things could have gone differently. But at the same time I do feel more safe in a sense knowing they can call me even from the next room if they're scared or need me for anything and maybe I'm asleep or something. And other times are good for when they're not home and in the road. I just feel more safe, but again I totally get it! You are such amazing parents! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love that we grew up in a childhood where we played outside till the street lights came on. No social media, no streaming, just creativity, physical activity, and nature. Some of my best childhood memories were playing outside with my friends in the dirt!
Yes I agree. I am truly wondering how much of an effect the internet will have on these kids when the phone and videos is their whole childhood. Will they still have all the little skills we learned as you said like having an imagination, being creative? Or what about general things such a counting correct change for an ice cream cone or knowing how to swim? It truly makes me wonder how didn't that generation will be when they get older.
My 2 sons were 16 when they got their phones and they were driving and had jobs. My 2 grandsons got phones very early on at 7 & 9 and it totally ruined them. That is their only life now at 14 & 16!They know nothing but the phone. Ya’ll are so right to hold off as long as possible!!!! So glad I didn’t give in and do that to my sons. I’m devastated for my grandsons! So sad!
I think it’s so important to help her keep her innocence . Some children get upset when they can’t have a phone like their friends but eventually as adults you realize it was just our parents protecting us from stuff we didn’t need as kids.
I love that idea. About the phone. My eldest is 32 and she didn’t get her first phone til she was 15. So I completely agree with both of you. Love that…
Yes. I got my first phone when I was 14, almost 15. I feel like you shouldn’t get a phone until you actually need it. Like in high school when you are at sports and parties.
Im 31 and i didn't get my first phone till i was 15. Im glad they didn't give me one till then. And even then, my first phone was a nokia brick! Grateful they let me stay "little" for as long as possible!❤
EXUSE ME there is NO WAY you said this and decided to actually post this comment they use there kids and use ev the most only bc she was the first kid and they don’t let her have ANY freedom and the fact they post there kids every where but won’t let ev use any social media except for when they film I think their just scared for her to see their acc bc ev will see all their reactions to her and make her hate them more like ik she loves her mom but still ITS NOT RIGHT.
Exactly like get ur facts straight she is always left out and they treat posey and whatever the little boys name is and whoever her other siblings are and you can clearly tell who the favorite is and they don’t even let poor ev do her own thing these people aren’t parents anymore they’re control freaks
So proud of you two for never letting your fame or backlash stop you from holding true to your morals, values, goals, etc. 🤎 I vote Bishop or Deacon for baby Labrant #5!
While I was watching this video of ya'll talking, the name Colby popped in my head, for some reason I could see you guys picking that name ❤, to me it actually fits in your family. God Bless your family and can't wait to see baby number 5!
Your fear of getting Ev a phone is totally valid. I got my first phone when I was 12 and my parents set many strict boundaries that I am so thankful for. I wasn’t allowed to have any social media or search engines. I could only have my phone in public areas such as our kitchen, living room, and dinning room (no bedroom or bathroom). Another thing my parents did was make me charge my phone in their room every night where they could monitor my messages. As a college student now I hear so many story’s of people who lost their innocents because of their phones and I am so grateful for the boundaries my parents put in place.
Yes my mom makes me leave my phone outside at night to charge and I'm 17. I'm not complainign at all, I know she jsut wants me to sleep at a decent time, or I'll be on my phone all night
My parents did something very similar - keeping phones in their room at night, no bedroom usage, and barley any social media till my parents thought it were appropriate. But to this day as 14 coming on 15 year old, I still struggle to understand why they did this, so if u r older than me, can u tell me why ur parents put the rules inplace, and what were the benefits?
@@00Millyxoxo see if you get unlimited access to devices and the internet, you could get creeped on by p*dos, gr00mers, etc etc. YOur parents want to keep you safe, and as for keeping the phoen in their room at night, they want to ensure you don't sneak te phone and paly with it all night long
Im going to turn 15 and 12 is a great age for ur first phone but educate ur kids on everything so they won’t make any mistakes but if they do they will learn from it
I bet everleigh isn't begging for a phone because she respects your decision since you guys have created such a healthy relationship with your kids. Great job and God bless!
Love these thing of the monthly videos with only you two. It shows that you guys reflect on the important things, without the need of constantly filming the kids and giving them space to be
I’m not a parent for health reasons. My perspective on phones is that I agree with you. I’m a mental health therapist and many of the kids I work with have access to phones/social media etc. and it can be incredibly damaging. Cyber bullying is a real thing and it’s hard enough to deal with as an adult, much less a child. I know “old school phones” still exist so you can always go that route for Everleigh.
As a teacher, I see so many teens just glued to their phones to the exclusion of everything else. My school allows students to keep their phones (grrrr...) , and their grades are suffering! Keep Ev a kid for as long as you can! She'll be an adult all too soon. Love you guys!
I'm 16. I had a phone at such a young age and it affected me terribly! Yes, there were fun moments but it exposed me to so many things that I shouldn't have been exposed to. It stripped away my innocence before I even noticed. I began feeling insecure, wanting to fit in and hop on all the trends Just so I could be seen as cool at school. That mindset literally broke me. I was at my darkest moments 2 years ago. At the same time, I felt addicted to being on my phone. I always got on it whenever I was bored, scrolling mindlessly. I was wasting so much time doing nothing. It basically had me on a chokehold. It's hard to get out of that cycle but I managed to do it. I realized the damage social media has done. I've deleted every social app and I'm trying my best to stay off of my phone. I want to enjoy life and live in the moment. Things are way simpler when you take a step back from the screen. It's like a breath of fresh air.
Some of my most favorite memories from childhood are playing in the mud, making things like little adobe stoves and sculptures. We would let them dry in the sun. Sometimes we added a little grate on them, and sometimes they were open. Then with parental supervision, we learned how to make a little fire in them. My mom would give us hot dogs and marshmallows and we would actually cook over the fire. Funny now, after I retired from my job, I became a potter! Playing in the mud is so much fun! Another fond memory is taking care of the animals. That is where we learned about true love.
Yall are doing the best thing by not getting Ev a phone and limiting screens! That’s awesome! Also great that you can talk freely about Tommy. I lost my dad at 23. I love when people talk about him❤ As always, love the LaBrants and hugs to you guys!
I agree so much about the phones, I got my first phone when I was 11. It made me feel so mature and it was fun while it was new! But after a while it’s all I wanted to do, I never wanted to play with my brother, I was glued to my device. I feel sad looking back in wasted years, but with right limits I know Ev will be just fine!! Praying for your family and new baby!!❤️
All of your kids are beautiful! I’m sure baby boy 💙 will be as well! I’ve been watching you since Posie was born and look at you now 5 kids wow!! We are here for you! I really don’t mind what you name him as long as he’s healthy!! We all pray for a beautiful and healthy baby and smooth birth! Love you guys! Remember you are loved! Bye! ❤
Also I have enjoyed your q&a the last few months. It really seems you have grown in the Lord watching your content the last few. I pray the Lord would bless you and keep you, may His face shine on you and be gracious to You, May the Lord turn toward you and give you His peace ❤️💕
I got my first phone, summer before 8th grade. I cant have social media until i turn 16. I completely agree, as soon as i got my phone i seriously didnt feel like a like a kid anymore. Yall are doing an amazing job raising your kids!!!
Got my first phone at 13...and I don't believe it was the best idea, even though I wanted one really bad. Also missed you guys 🤗 But I'm glad you're having some good, quality family time, you seem very refreshed and happy ❤
I think every family have their reasons for when their kids get a phone. From personal experience though I’ve seen my nieces mature even more once they got a phone. It did take some of their innocence away. I read something and it said “when you give your child a phone you’re not giving them access to the world….you’re giving the world access to your child.” That stuck with me. I didn’t get a phone until I was in high school but phones now are so different, and there are so many new apps, social media, and we only had texting back in the day. I’m not ready to navigate that with my kids yet. I want them to be in the moment and enjoy what’s going on around them! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
I do think that Everleigh deserves and needs a phone, but at the same time I think that and intense amount of social media is bad for her. The best thing you can do as parents is to get her a flip phone (at least in my opinion). It still allows you to communicate with her as often as you want while keeping her away from social media as much as possible. I know this is off topic and that the kid's names are your opinion. I also know that this does not sound like a mature name, but Bandit is a cute name. Either way, hope you are doing well, god bless!
Amen to this!!!!! My youngest son is 11 now and we just got his first phone. We don’t let him have social media at all. He has a few games on it but we have to approve. He only has talk and text and paid data. Now a days we have to protect them from what is going on in the world. It’s scary out there and I would rather him worry about grades not what’s happening in other parts. He also has time limits. She is so lucky to have parents like you❤️. God Bless You All!!!
OMGGGGG I love you Labrant fam so much 💖💖💖 I have been watching since I was 9 and now I am 15!!!!! I love u all so much...sending love and prayers alwayssss
I did not get a phone until I was 18. I wanted one so bad as a young girl, and I am so glad that I did not have one any time before 18. I know that you guys will make the right decision regarding a phone for Everleigh. Praying for you both to have wisdom! Love ya’ll.
The fact that Cole just said "if God puts it on our hearts for a specific kid in a specific situation" and then Posie walks in got tears in my eyes. She's just the kind of kid that anyone would like to adopt❣️ Also I got tears when you talked about Everleigh, I know how hard it can be for a kid to lose someone important and I'm so glad that Everleigh has you supporting her❣️ You are just so inspiring parents and inspiring family❣️
@@KarlaEmmerson sorry, I don't know what unhinged means, so don't really understand your comment fully. But I kind of agree 'cause I would want to adopt any kid. But at the same time I know there's many people who wouldn't. I basically meant that Posie has so kind and loving heart that I think even the most cold hearted person would still adopt her if she needed home.
@@nicoleg1492 I understand it might be strange for someone when some people get easily on tears if you don't have yourself any personal experience about being an extraordinary sensitive person. But for me it's not strange to start crying when you see something cute or beautiful and even though I know that special sensitivity is somewhat rare, I know I'm not the only one.
Thank you for talking about the phone, that was a recent conversation in our house. The house rule was always: you can get a phone when you can pay for one. However, with our kids going out with friends more…we revisited this topic. Our son at 17 and daughter at 13 do not have phones. They honestly don’t want one, and we’re good with that. When they go out, they have no problem asking a friend or friend’s parent if they need to contact us. I’m sure the topic will come again when our son starts driving. They even still have screen time limits!! They always have. And it hasn’t increased with age. They are able to earn more time by doing more chores… But it’s an HOUR of screen time a day and unlimited during the weekends. They are not allowed to say that they are bored and we nurture their creativity. Our son writes music and plays several instruments and our daughter paints + sells her own art. 🙌🏼
OMG!! When you guys said the nickname “Frankie” my face LIT UP! My brother is autistic, and his name is Frankie. We looooove your videos! Enjoys your new baby boy! ❤
❤ love how your hearts are set on the inocente life of your kids, ❤ plz keep your kids, kids! We didn't grow up with that technology and turned out great. 😊
I got my first phone at 12. It had conditions. I was only allowed to take it to school on Wednesdays because I had dance immediately after school. You guys can create a buffer period with a phone. It’s not just no phone, or a phone 24/7. I think it’s super reasonable that y’all get her a phone at some point and say she only takes it to dance. She doesn’t need it at night by her bed or when she’s playing with her siblings. I really appreciated once i got a phone having boundaries that slowly lessened over time. It was very healthy.
Cole and Savannah, first off you guys are doing great!! With the phone topic: I will say with the way smart phones are set up now there are so many controls that you can put on them for the kiddos to only use them for texting and calling you. I got my son a phone purely for the purpose of tracking him during the school day and making sure he’s at the right place at the right time and when he comes home his phone goes straight to the counter and stays there. Just from a safety stand point alone, they are always nice to have. But whatever y’all choose is the right idea for your sweet fam!
I am 22 turning 23 in September and I remember my first phone. I got a cheap phone that looked like a blackberry but it wasn't but similar style with limited calls and texts and it was used so I can contact my parents, brother or family members at the beginning. I had a few friends numbers as well. I can't remember exactly the age I was but I think I was in 1st year of high school which was like 13. I also think it depends on the kid. Some kids you can give a phone to when they are 13 and others you can't. You can also set boundaries like the phone can't be upstairs or something. I will say it's about judgement and parents know best. Love you guys. Can't wait to see Baby boy soon. Xx
I got my first phone at 6. I’m now 12, I rlly regret getting that phone at a very early age because it really made basically half of my life revolved around the screen to this day making me feel like I couldn’t do the things others could. You talking abt getting phones at young ages really touched me because I know I wasn’t the way I used to be when I was younger. Thank you for helping everleigh have a better childhood then most 11 yr olds ever would have.
I have been a fan since I found you with posie. It's funny we have been pregnant at the same times with your last 4. This baby was definitely a surprise as well. Congrats to yall and yall having a big family. Standing firm is so hard in this day and age.
We didn't name any of our babies until after we saw them and got to know them a little bit. I was in the hospital for 3 days after delivering our last baby boy and was ready for discharge and still had not named him. The hospital refused to discharge us until we named him. I'm assuming that was for legal reasons as I'm sure the hospital doesn't care. We also did not find out the gender of any of our babies until the delivery. Literally the best surprise you can get! 🎉
I totally understand this. I am 16, and I have been watching you guys before posie was born. This past week, though, I got my permit after months for saying I didn't want it. I realized that though I have to do it because I can't hold off the Inavitable that is too come. I personally didn't get a phone till I was 11 and I wish my parents had waited a little longer because that made me grow up more than I already had to. It is ultimately up to you guy on what you do I would just find another solution other than giving her a phone right if you don't want her to have it 💜
Almost everything you said is the same for me, I'm 16, I've been watching since before Posie was born, and I'm getting my permit sometime this week, even though I don't want it. But I don't have a phone yet. My parents are unable to afford one for me at the moment. But I should be getting one before the summer starts. And I understand having to grow up a little more than you have to at a certain age. I've been doing a lot of that over the last 2 and a half months as my mom wasn't around much due to a family emergency. 💙💙
I'm 16 too. @ordinarytv8073 Yes, I can totally relate it is one of the biggest reasons I don't have a lot of social media. It is because of what you just stayed that social media can be a really good thing for people to connect, but it also can be hurtful to us all because it makes us insecure and feel uncomfortable in our own skin. We should just be allowed to keep our innocence for as long as we would like not to be exposed to the goods and bads of social media.
Same with me. I Got one when I was 9. It screwed me up and grew me up in some ways fast because I saw SO much stuff so early. Wayyy too early. And my parents didn’t realize because everyone else was getting phones too so why not. Free access to the entire internet at 9 years old. What can go wrong right? ( a lot )
@Lydiajareau Yes, a lot can go wrong, but the sad part is. Is that we live and learn through those situations. It sucks but we sometimes have to go through it 💜
Definitely wait on the phone as long as possible and don't be afraid to monitor what they are on. Kids are so cruel online and the pressure to be popular is so intense. Kids aren't equipped at a young age to know how to deal with all drama that goes with social media. Thanks for sharing!
Xander not too sure there go for that I know they won’t go for Alexander as that too common for there style Yes Xander and Zealand do work together though 🎉.
i love the perspective about the phone ❤️ you could always get Ev a flip phone or something so it's not a smart phone that she will sit and play on but just so she can contact you when she's away. my first phone was a little slide phone that could only call/text for when i needed to reach my parents and i didn't get a smart phone until later, and even when i did i wasnt allowed to have social media right away. i appreciate that my parents did that because i definitely got to appreciate my childhood more :)
As a teenager myself (15), i think the decision with the phone is a right decison. My parents had the exact same mindset of waiting to give me a phone till i was 14. It is a big distraction, especially with school, socially and just life in general. You become alot more preserved with a phone and im not applying this to all teens/pre teens but based on what ive seen it just changes their behaviour (usually in a negative way) and they could do wrong things etc. So just to protect her from all the havvoc and keep her in touch with the real world is a good decision.
I totally get the no phone thing until they’re older, especially these days. The only reason I got a phone was specifically like you said, leaving your kiddo at dance for so long and not being able to get a hold of her a good idea too that you could do it just get her a flip phone so you can still get a hold of her but you don’t have to worry about that social media problem.
I really love the name Xander. It’s unique enough and goes well with Zealand and your girls’ names. But since it’s another boy, I think it’s important that it goes well with Zealand’s name 🤷♀️ I just really like that name and it sounds like it fits in well with
Giving her a phone doesn’t mean her innocence will be away. She can have a phone and still do what she does now, phones these days are more kid proof than before with different settings x
You guys should totally get Everleigh a Apple Watch! It comes with so many resources like: She can text and call you, she can have screen time, you can connect it to either one of your guys phones, you can have school time when she’s at school and so much more. It’s the safest way!
I sooo hate my little sister got an Apple Watch first before her phone bc u can still call ppl just in case and you can’t loose it it’s on your wrist! You also can’t play games or watch videos ( you can play games but very boring ones)
Your reasonings for not giving her a phone are spot on! We won't give our kids phones until they graduate or MAYBE drive! The problem isn't necessarily that you don't TRUST them, but there's sooo much that they can get into, that can pop up, ads, etc that can take away their innocence in a split SECOND!
So glad you guys are not using Kevin. Been following Savannah and Everleigh before Cole came along. I adore you guys. Love watching the family take on a whole new life together is amazing. Blessings Some boy names Colby-Richard Mateo-Oshen Franklin-God Grayson-Cross Fredrick-Sheppard Noah-Sky Harrison-Samuel
Loved the video. With the whole phone thing for Everleigh one idea is maybe getting a tracker phone or a more basic phone that she could use to call you but it doesn’t have a ton of extra stuff. Or I think there is a way to put restrictions on different apps for kids. My parents did this with me and still do, just a suggestion because of her dance schedule :)
I think you're doing the right thing with no phone. We don't have social media & we homeschool. Our kids are thriving. Don't give in when it comes to your values. They will be better for it!!!
My son's father passed away 3 months before he turned two years old. My son will be 11 next month and we still make him a cake of my son's choosing and sing to his Dad every year. I think it is wonderful that you sang to Tommy. It may seem silly now but I know Everleigh will remember it fondly the older she gets.
I love your family! Whatever name you pick will be special! Love your faith and your children putting God first at their young age! Beautiful! Beautiful family! 💞💞💞💞💞💞💞
I think you guys are the best also not giving Everleigh a phone yet is the best thing. That's what is wrong with a lot of kids now days they get phones to soon. Love you guys ❤
11/12 isn’t too bad it’s probably the best time but some obviously wait till the kid like 13/14 that ok as well but 11/12 the most common even knew lots of kids that have them at 9-10 though thought that was a bit too young.
I laughed so hard at ‘We can’t name our kid Kevin” 😂🤣 I love the unique names you have given your children with the Christian’s and family connections. Throwing a suggestion out there… Creed.
I think if Ev is not making a huge deal about it and isn’t really upset or feels left I wouldn’t even worry about a phone for a couple years. You are so right about being a kid!! And how important it is. When I was 11 cell phones were still 10 years away … I played outside everynight with all the neighborhood kids until probably 10pm. We played outside all day, I was 11, just a kid :) I am happy to hear someone else feels this way.
Ok just gonna put it out there, Ev was so sad when she found out u were having another baby, and now ur having another? Like it is ur decision but if i were you, I would just stick with the kids i have and give them all attention. Ev seems left out in most videos, and you didn’t even give her christmas presents. I just don’t understand what would make a parent do that to their own child. When Ev sung that song, you both just smiled and didnt even look at her. When Posy’s part came, you both laughed and said sweet things to her. Then all you gave Ev was a hug, that wasn’t even a full hug to be fair. I just want you to treat your kids the same, and i know it must be hard because younger ones need more attention. But Ev is still young, and no one deserves to treat their CHILD like that. She is your daughter, so treat her like your daughter.
Oh my goodness, I'm so so sorry Everly lost her dad. I can relate...my husband passed away unexpectedly January 7th of this year and we have 4 girls.. and its rough. And my/ our world has been shattered. My heart personally, has been totally broken and cry everyday.
I kid you not every time I hear the name, Kevin I cannot unhere it with the line from the movie home alone when the mother yells “Kevin!!!!!” in the airport.😂 Just me?
My kids got their first phones at 14. However, they were only allowed to have them on school trips. For example, when they traveled for choir, band, debate and the like. They had to give them back when they got home. Once they had a job to pay for their own phone. Prepaid. Not contract. Then they could have it all the time and it was theirs. I just set ground rules such as no phones at meal times, family time, and after a certain hour. And it worked really well.
The way I just CACKLED at “Kevin” when lined up with your other kids’ names 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I got a phone at 14 - had to pay for it tho. And the rule for social media is 18 for my family - I turned 18 2 weeks ago

I got mine at 11 but I was getting the train to school everyday

I honestly love the idea of not giving kids phones until they're older. My childhood was spent screen free and it has had a positive effect on my family relationships. I would've never enjoyed being a kid this much if I would've always been on social media or iPhone games. Keep up the great work with your family :)

@@riosky8708 how you know Cole and Tommy hated each other ??
I don't get why she would find it silly.. she doesn't want to remember her dad?
You can always adopt later in life once the kids are grown too. It can happen whenever 🙏🏻
5:01 Omg posie is so cute “love you dad” 🥹
Get her a gizmo watch. I gave my kids them and you can pick who she talks to and keep track of her. I love it
I was going to suggest the same thing!
How does the gizmo watch work?
Or Gabb watch. My daughter had that
she used to have one. not sure what happened with that
I have been a fan since y’all’s very first few videos and I love y’all so much!❤ I hope you have a healthy kid and life!! Good luck!!!! 🎉❤
Glad y’all posted a recent video, can’t wait to see the new baby ❤
I had next door neighbors who named their three girls Faith, Hope, and Charity. Then they had a boy and named him Larry! 🤣😂
That’s so wrong poor Larry
Hey it’s not that bad… I thought of funny songs with Larry from the veggie tales…
My nieces names are Hopelynn and then Charity Faith
That's funny
My 2 sons were 16 when they got their phones and they were driving and had jobs. My 2 grandsons got phones very early on at 7 & 9 and it totally ruined them. That is their only life now at 14 & 16!They know nothing but the phone. Ya’ll are so right to hold off as long as possible!!!!
So glad I didn’t give in and do that to my sons. I’m devastated for my grandsons! So sad!
I think it’s so important to help her keep her innocence . Some children get upset when they can’t have a phone like their friends but eventually as adults you realize it was just our parents protecting us from stuff we didn’t need as kids.
you all have so much wisdom !! so grateful you share it with us !! love you all .💛💛
I love that idea.
I love how honest you are with all you children and giving them the freedom to choose who they want to be so glad everleigh had the support she needs
Be fr
Be so fr
Ev has had her life ruined by these “parents” be fr
I vote Bishop or Deacon for baby Labrant #5!
YOur parents want to keep you safe, and as for keeping the phoen in their room at night, they want to ensure you don't sneak te phone and paly with it all night long
Im going to turn 15 and 12 is a great age for ur first phone but educate ur kids on everything so they won’t make any mistakes but if they do they will learn from it
Also phone only when not at home. Only when away for emergencies, get special phone that can only do calls
I bet everleigh isn't begging for a phone because she respects your decision since you guys have created such a healthy relationship with your kids. Great job and God bless!
Love the updates! So happy for your family!
Oh my god I’ve never watched the Labrant family in so long and im so happy for them and im so excited to see what they have come next ❤
Love these thing of the monthly videos with only you two. It shows that you guys reflect on the important things, without the need of constantly filming the kids and giving them space to be
they still have other channels with the kids, literally a whole channel for everleigh and Cole
Been watching for ages! All of your kids are so beautiful! This baby is so blessed.
Posie that is absolutely incredible. You have been give a very special talent for drawing. Love it!!!
Same so I agree so much with you.
Agreed with that. Wish I had my phone when I was my age now which is also 16
Some of my most favorite memories from childhood are playing in the mud, making things like little adobe stoves and sculptures.
I love when people talk about him❤
As always, love the LaBrants and hugs to you guys!

Poise is so adorable the way she said "I love you dad!" It's so wholesome 😆❤️
You guys are my favorite family channel ❤ I love how you care the same for each child. God bless your beautiful family.
it’s so good to wait to get a phone! i got my first one at 15, and it was totally worth the wait!! you guys do what feels right❤
Amen to this!!!!!
Happy Easter to your beautiful family ❤❤ He is Risen!!
OMGGGGG I love you Labrant fam so much 💖💖💖 I have been watching since I was 9 and now I am 15!!!!! I love u all so much...sending love and prayers alwayssss
I agree with the phones I got my first flip phone when I was fourteen and I’m so glad my mom waited I’m gonna do the same with mine 🥰
Mine ain't until college. They need homework
“I love you dad” awwww posieee when she leftttt ❤❤
That’s such an unhinged comment about Posie 🥴 What defines a kid someone wouldn’t want to adopt?
@@KarlaEmmerson sorry, I don't know what unhinged means, so don't really understand your comment fully. But I kind of agree 'cause I would want to adopt any kid. But at the same time I know there's many people who wouldn't. I basically meant that Posie has so kind and loving heart that I think even the most cold hearted person would still adopt her if she needed home.
That is such a strange comment about posie lol?
@@nicoleg1492 I understand it might be strange for someone when some people get easily on tears if you don't have yourself any personal experience about being an extraordinary sensitive person. But for me it's not strange to start crying when you see something cute or beautiful and even though I know that special sensitivity is somewhat rare, I know I'm not the only one.
@@huffleraventherindor posie isn’t being adopted though lol? That’s why I thought it was weird 😬
Thank you for sharing your life with us because you guys truly don’t have too sending love and prayers too all of you ❤
I‘m so excited for this little angle! 💗👼
Can you upload more Vlogs ?
👇🏽if you have been following them since a long time before Covid and do y’all still remember posie in her stomach
I’m only 17 but when I have my first kid I want the gender to be a surprise 🎉
I'm 16 too. I want to enjoy life and live in the moment. Things are way simpler when you take a step back from the screen. It's like a breath of fresh air.
Keep doing you cause you do it so well…God bless your family ❤❤

i love the perspective about the phone ❤️ you could always get Ev a flip phone or something so it's not a smart phone that she will sit and play on but just so she can contact you when she's away. my first phone was a little slide phone that could only call/text for when i needed to reach my parents and i didn't get a smart phone until later, and even when i did i wasnt allowed to have social media right away. i appreciate that my parents did that because i definitely got to appreciate my childhood more :)
For the phone situation… i believe u can have standard on it in settings/phone company
Y’all’s babies are growing up so fast!!! Love y’all!!!
I really love the name Xander. It’s unique enough and goes well with Zealand and your girls’ names. But since it’s another boy, I think it’s important that it goes well with Zealand’s name
🤷♀️ I just really like that name and it sounds like it fits in well with
Giving her a phone doesn’t mean her innocence will be away.
Blessings

Absolutely incredible!! 👏👏❤️
@TinyTown-nj2ml I was watching a game show last night and apparently the new average in my country is 7!!! I'm 13 and got my first phone at 11
@@TaylortheBarbie13 I assume they mean iPad or v-tech maybe not a full on phone
I laughed so hard at ‘We can’t name our kid Kevin” 😂🤣 I love the unique names you have given your children with the Christian’s and family connections. Throwing a suggestion out there… Creed.
Reign would be a second suggestion
I think if Ev is not making a huge deal about it and isn’t really upset or feels left I wouldn’t even worry about a phone for a couple years. You are so right about being a kid!! And how important it is. When I was 11 cell phones were still 10 years away … I played outside everynight with all the neighborhood kids until probably 10pm. We played outside all day, I was 11, just a kid :) I am happy to hear someone else feels this way.
I love you guys and have watched you since you got married. Thank you for opening the comments again.
I like sharing rooms ❤ I have 5 siblings and I shared with my sister growing up.
I think your stance on cell phones and waiting as long as you can to preserve their innocence and childhood is amazing.

I love you guys. I live on the Tennessee/Alabama state line. When I found out yall were moving to Tennessee, I was so and still excited for yall!
God bless your sweet family ❤❤❤
I am the same age as Everleigh and I have been watching this since the beginning of this channel God Bless You and your family❤️✝️
