I believe the glitch which you guys encountered may have occurred after Josh was shooting in the general direction of the plane (just before the cut-scene) but this is arguable.
There was Josh in chopper shooting at a police helicopter, so maybe Josh shot the plane, or, since Rascschoscvy is meant to fly in a straight line he may have crashed into the heli.
