Her story is full of powerful teaching. She is undoubtedly undoing all the mistaken thinking especially which was among us African women. I go back in time and always think about my Antie who was widowed in her mid 40s. Mother Catherine you are a living legend. Please start a Support group called‘Every woman needs a man.’ You are beautiful, dignified and l strongly believe many would want to follow you. I had given up by 45 & now at 52 I got the love of my life. He is 56 & I am 53, I didn’t have to look for him, but God who brought him on board at the business conversation & there after he looked for me not for business after but for relationship. And that’s how it went! God has always someone somewhere for you.

The problem is that Christianity stand against polygamy.
The ratio of women to men is 10 to 1 world wide.especialy among 50s and older.even if you have every man to one woman .you will still have 9 women left with no men

Hi Lynn. I must admit that I have really admired the interview you did for the lady of 59 years who was still looking for a husband. I had been avoiding to watch the video earlier on but when i finally listened to the interview, I saw high levelof maturity in the lady and her talk. I sincerely wish that a straight forward man could just be commanded from above and spot her. She deserves a truly honest man since she exhudes that quality.

Turmoils and turbulences in marriage - I belive there is no ideal perfect marriage, it takes two to a Tago, in this respect any two lovers coming together need to understand that the product of bonding together is 50% shareholding and each has a role to play hence need to substantiate defined roles to benchmark this most life process till ( death do us part)! do marriages have instructions manual to check the excesses of spill overs ?

Thanks Lynn for bringing us such amazing women to tell their stories. What I hear them say especially on child support is valid but I could add that there is nothing wrong with following up on it within the legal mechanisms. The government needs to legislate the compliance and enforcement and not leave it to the abuser. When the orders to pay child support are given, the follow-up remains with the spouse and so it does not work since failure to comply is another rigorous process. I believe the support needs to be deducted from the man's salary and sent directly to the mother of the children to deal with those irresponsible fathers to take up their responsibilities! My two cents!

About child support this be should be deducted from the absent family, UK does it and it has worked. This helps with the proper upbringing of the child, And most at times the absent parents also trys to get involved with the child's life.

There is nothing to be ashamed of. Young women forget that time is ticking and you will be 59 years old before you know it. I have an Aunt who found love at 70. In Africa once you turn 30, 40 we consider ourselves old. We need to move with the times.
