It seems it exists archeological evidences that Taj Mahal was an ancient Shiva temple, but unfortunately, it seems also nobody really wants to know the historical truth. As a hungarian ive visted India multiple times and the amazing structures that are truly unbelievable ,have seen many ancient Hindu temples. Even though the taj mahal has Islamic scriptures I really don't believe it was constructed by the mughals.... look at the structures from the the same era in the middle east no such structures exist there!

Ok. Now that is funny! And quite possibly, accurate! No matter what I try, I always find myself pulled back onto an “up all night, sleep all day” routine, and therefore I finally came to the conclusion: maybe I have been one of the ancients whose job it was to live at night and take meticulous records of the stars as they traverse the night sky?!…. Somehow, Praveen and I were friends back then, and perhaps I gave him the astronomical data he would need to build his temples with the proper alignment! Lol. But you know I never deeply considered this aspect before… The extent to which any aligned megalithic structure would’ve been an intimately collaborative effort because the person that understood and would lead the construction of the temples, most likely wasn’t going to understand the concepts needed to precisely determine the Cardinal Points or how to chart the path of the luminaries of the night sky to be able to properly and precisely align these massive structures in the exact manner that they did! (..usually with a degree of accuracy our current comparable systems of construction would scoff at but not be able to get near!)

Long before Islamic invasion, India was home to the Indus valley civilization (undisputed fact) and ancient Tamil civilization (undisputed fact). These civilizations were technologically very advanced boasting functional sanitation systems, agriculture, medicine, etc. The entire number system was invented by Hindus. Indian Math, physics, astronomy, literature, medicine, and archeology were unparalleled in ancient times. India is also the birthplace of 100s of languages, 10 classical dance forms, countless folk dances, several unique musical instruments and at least two original classical music (Hindustani and Carnatic), jewelry designs, meditation, yoga, vegetarianism, ayurveda, ahimsa (non violence), and much more. Sanskrit and Tamil were the two primary languages spoken in ancient times. Evidence indicates that ancient Hindus were progressive (look at the Kajuraho temples & Kamasutra) but that Hindus became conservative due to Islamic rule and invasions (the reason why North Indian Hindu women cover their hair, just like Muslim women). Also, Hinduism is the only religion where the feminine form is revered and worshipped equally (Hindus worship Goddesses like Lakshmi, Saraswathi, Shakthi, Durga, Kali). However, it is also believed that there were other, much older civilizations that happened before the continental drift that separated India from surrounding countries in the subcontinent. A good example is Kumari Kandam. It is also believed that Lord Shiva, Ganesh and other Gods lived in India during this time. The Ramayana and Mahabaratha actually happened during this time and were documented by sages. Modern day archeologists and historians (usually from Western countries) cannot explain why a Hindu God has elephant head and they resort to calling Hinduism a mere "myth". This explains why Sanskrit and Tamil words are found in Japanese, Korean, Indonesian, Thai and Russian. Plus, many Hindu customs, rituals, and even dances are found in Japan, Thailand, etc. Unfortunately, India, and in particular, the deep knowledge in Hinduism was destroyed by Islamic invasions as well as invasions by Europeans (British, Portugese, Italians, Spanish, French, Dutch). Sadly, 1000s of ancient books, temples, historic sites, and other Hindu artifacts were destroyed or stolen. Nalanda University that contained a treasure trove of knowledge was burned down by Islamic king. Along with these invasions, Sanksrit also died, making it difficult to translate docs. Tamil, the oldest living language is still spoken today, but not in the same form as it existed several thousand years back. The Islamic rulers stole the Hindu number system and the Europeans wrongly attributed the origin to Arabs. Hence, Arabic numbers, not Hindu numerals. Even belly dancing originated in Hindu culture - the postures are seen in Hindu sculptures dating back to 6th century BC. All the hip ornaments, head ornaments, anklets, arm bands, nose rings, etc. worn by belly dancers are seen only in ancient Hindu sculptures. But guess who gets credit for it? The Islamic middle east! THere is NO evidence from the middle eastern countries that this type of jewelry and dance form existed in their country before they invaded India. Due to all this destruction and Hindus preoccupation with attaining independence for over 400 years, modern day Hindu priests and scholars themselves cannot accurately explain the significance behind ancient Hindu scriptures, sculptures, artifacts, and even Hindu religious beliefs. Southern India, esp. Tamilnadu, fought hard to retain its language, dances, and many customs. Although many temples and historical sites exist, they are partially destroyed and the local governments haven't done anything to preserve them. Fun fact: Although Hindus have been attacked at least since 12th century, if not earlier, Hindus have never waged a war or illegally occupied another country. Unlike most other religions, Hindus do not forcibly convert or expect anyone to follow their religion. But they will welcome you with open arms if you choose to do so. There are many "shlokas" in Sanskirt that explain how to treat your guests as God himself, and most Hindus follow this practice. However, this respect and friendliness to foreigners ended up ruining Hindus. This makes Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, and Jainism (all 4 religions originated in India) the most peaceful ancient religions of the world. Although Western countries acknowledge the Holocaust and slavery in America, they are yet to acknowledge the slavery experienced by Indians at the hands of British a d other Europeans, or the mass killings and destruction done by Islamic rulers to Hindu religion, archeology, etc. Sadly, in the name of secularism and to protect Indian muslims, the Indian govt will never reveal the truth behind these mass destructions. Interestingly, the same destruction is happening in Syria, churches are being bombed and ethnic kurds wiped out by ISIS, etc., but we are not doing much to save them.

In 30-40 there was a flood in Yamuna in Agra. When the water receded, a beautiful ghat emerged just behind the fort. Government quickly hide that Ghat and made a road on that. It is generally said that a Shiv temple existed earlier where Taj stands now. Probably secularism means hiding everything that is Hindu.

If u have any love towards hindu, just go to the under developed areas in this country and there u can see they were struggling against poverty, living in slums / colonies. Adding to the information, Dr. P. V. Vartak has written a book which has put a theory that Tajmahal has its original name Tejomahal and was Shive temple. The book name is with same title " ताजमहल नव्हे तेजोमहाल". That's supposed to be one big reason for keeping Tajmahal's many doors closed. It is the doubt that Shiv temple is converted in to shrine and if this proves right, there will be havoc all over

Delhi seems to have had 1000s of temples which is not surprising either, as it was a capital for long time from even before invasions.. to capture Delhi, all temples seems to have been demolished and made sure no trace remained.. but its very much possible that some or other artefact might emerge in diggings.. we also dont have enough investments on museums to store these artefacts as most influential people in India are hell bent on destroying the evidences..

Agra name comes from (Agreshwar Mahadev Naagnatheshwar) The massive Shiv Ling said to be still hidden in the basement.. Coconut, 2 mango leaves on a Kalash and a half moon seen on top of the monument that all together looks like a Trishul .. Snake shaped, Bell shaped, Om shaped artworks on the walls.. Ice (Kailash) like white marble everywhere.. Rajput King Jay Singh's "Tejo Mahalay" grabbed & later converted to TajMahal. Fake Tombs built in as the original floor and Tombs on it do not match at all with the floor work (art) and this mismatch is easily visible.. Many such facts and structural manupulations are worth noticing!
I, as a part of students from Coimbatore visited taj mahal. IN 1974. Note the year here. If my memory is correct, we saw the upper and lower chambers! And while going around, I saw the same wooden door which, I underztand from this video, was then sealed! Someone told me that the steps under that lead to a Shiva idol or where there was a Shiva idol earlier. After many years I visited Minar in Delhi with my family. I was shocked to see very clearly stone carving shades that existed before in many many many coloumns. I need not say who was ruling India then! I think it is now time to give total but monitored free hand to OUR archeological survey of India to break open everything and analyse. Though I doubt whether even after 1974, the same vested interests would have allowed any evidence to remain in its place. Whatever it is, it is high time we get bold.

The greater question that plagues me is why do we have a plethora of underground cities around the world? On this visit to Taj Mahal, again you have brought out out things that the ordinary person would not get into! Would it be possible that the government has a facility down there that holds secret or ancient equipment of a kind that would cause an uproar in general, or even Alien artifacts, to cause a problem for religion any reason? Someone surely must have knowledge of the underground places there and the fort two kilometers away on the river, and have knowledge of the reasons for such secrecy knows what could be in those underground places? Since there are so many ancient religions and secrets held in India, it is not likely that what I suggested would hold true, but rather that respect and honor for artifacts pertaining to past Kings or Gods would dictate such restrictions. Perhaps the question of the underground chamber has been addressed already in the comments. But just in case, I was able to descend the stairs to chamber accessed within the structure in early 1976. The staircase, well- worn as I recall, led to a room containing what appeared to be tombs. When I was there other people were praying (?) and they didn't really appreciate a non-Indian entering the space. Inside the chamber atmosphere was somber but I felt no sense of forbidden mystery. At the time the passage down was open to the public.

It seems that there a tunnel between the fort and the platform where Taj Mahal was build on. With some sort of sonar equipment, a person could walk the bushes between the two structures, and map the path of the tunnel, without having to dig (or, then...dig when mapping the underground tunnel/passage...).
Dear Praveen, During 1990 I visited Taj Mahal that time they allowed to go down thru stairs to see the burials of king & queen. That time I have noticed a metal bowl hanging from the ceiling, as we can see in many Shiva temples from which water will fall on the head of linga. It is true that they have forgot to remove this. Otherwise What for that bowl should hang from ceiling ? Now the question is Who will bell the cat?

My grand parents use to say that there was a temple and it had been destroyed and changing the structure they made it Taj Mahal.... My great-grandmother visited these tunnels in 1930s she mentioned to the family that most were built as underground passage from Taj Mahal to the Agra Fort.
It was basically a fort which may have had a mandir or so in the Centre. I've been to palaces in south. They do have underground Mandirs mostly to hoard gold or vaults. Everything was made for a reason.

The Marathas, inspired by Shivaji, fought Aurengzeb and saved India from following the fate of Persia. The proof of Maratha victory lies in the fact that Aurengzeb lies buried, not in Lahore /Delhi or Agra , but near Aurangabad in good old Maharashtra... Indian history before Shivaji's advent reads like a chronicle of military disasters. Shivaji changed all that. He used Guerilla Tactics very effectively. Shivaji, as a great warrior & visionary laid a strong and solid foundation that after his death in 1680, there was a series of battles fought between Marathas and Mughals from 1681 to 1707 known as 'War of 27 years' and ended with the death of Aurangzeb in 1707. The Marathas eventually emerged victorious and consolidated their lost territories. This was further expanded by the Peshwas. The Maratha empire reached its peak in summer of 1758 with the conquest of Attock, which is banks of Indus river in Pakistan today. Its eastern frontier was today’s Orissa, being ruled by Raghuji Bhosale of Nagpur. Maratha armies had also reached upto Murshidabad, but then retreated and settled for tribute from Bengal and control of Orissa. To the south, in 1758, territories upto the fort of Gurramkonda in Kadappah district were held. Also, Tanjore (Thanjavur) was under Marathas, but that was a different line. In 1761, the PANIPAT war was lost to the Afghans but Marathas RECOVERED quickly like phoenix bird within 10 years and brought the whole of North Indian again under their control during the 1770's under leadership of Madhavrao Peshwa.. Eventually, the Marathas grew stronger and fought the British in three Anglo-Maratha Wars (1775-82, 1803-05, 1817-18), In the First Anglo-Maratha War (1775-1782) The Marathas emerged Victorious. A Vijay Stambh (Victory Pillar) erected to commemorate Maratha victory over British is located at Vadgaon/Wadgaon Maval, close to the city of Pune. The 2nd and 3rd were subsequently lost and British established themselves. (By the way, just for your G.K, Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is also considered as the 'Father of the Indian Navy'.) Another awesome video ... you definitely need some high tech, like ground penetrating radar to locate artifacts (perhaps) and other information that hasn't been found to be hidden away. You also need a miniature drone with lights, camera, infra red, to record areas that are too small for normal exploration. We may not have the ideal level of technology at the time of me writing this, but you need to equip yourself ... you are one of the very few archaeological investigators that can be trusted to tell the truth, and your insights and sharing your knowledge helps make this a better world. You are right, history is always written and re-written, the Egyptians always did this. A succession of pharos would come along and claim credit for what others had built, just look at the most famous, the so-called sphinx. That is so old, if we look at it, we can see that it has water erosion around it, but water has not been there for so long, even before the first dynasty. Ok. Now that is funny! And quite possibly, accurate! No matter what I try, I always find myself pulled back onto an “up all night, sleep all day” routine, and therefore I finally came to the conclusion: maybe I have been one of the ancients whose job it was to live at night and take meticulous records of the stars as they traverse the night sky?!…. Somehow, Praveen and I were friends back then, and perhaps I gave him the astronomical data he would need to build his temples with the proper alignment!

Long before Islamic invasion, India was home to the Indus valley civilization (undisputed fact) and ancient Tamil civilization (undisputed fact). These civilizations were technologically very advanced boasting functional sanitation systems, agriculture, medicine, etc. The entire number system was invented by Hindus. Indian Math, physics, astronomy, literature, medicine, and archeology were unparalleled in ancient times. India is also the birthplace of 100s of languages, 10 classical dance forms, countless folk dances, several unique musical instruments and at least two original classical music (Hindustani and Carnatic), jewelry designs, meditation, yoga, vegetarianism, ayurveda, ahimsa (non violence), and much more. Sanskrit and Tamil were the two primary languages spoken in ancient times. Evidence indicates that ancient Hindus were progressive (look at the Kajuraho temples & Kamasutra) but that Hindus became conservative due to Islamic rule and invasions (the reason why North Indian Hindu women cover their hair, just like Muslim women). Also, Hinduism is the only religion where the feminine form is revered and worshipped equally (Hindus worship Goddesses like Lakshmi, Saraswathi, Shakthi, Durga, Kali).
However, it is also believed that there were other, much older civilizations that happened before the continental drift that separated India from surrounding countries in the subcontinent. A good example is Kumari Kandam.
It is also believed that Lord Shiva, Ganesh and other Gods lived in India during this time. The Ramayana and Mahabaratha actually happened during this time and were documented by sages. Modern day archeologists and historians (usually from Western countries) cannot explain why a Hindu God has elephant head and they resort to calling Hinduism a mere "myth".
This explains why Sanskrit and Tamil words are found in Japanese, Korean, Indonesian, Thai and Russian. Plus, many Hindu customs, rituals, and even dances are found in Japan, Thailand, etc.
Unfortunately, India, and in particular, the deep knowledge in Hinduism was destroyed by Islamic invasions as well as invasions by Europeans (British, Portugese, Italians, Spanish, French, Dutch). Sadly, 1000s of ancient books, temples, historic sites, and other Hindu artifacts were destroyed or stolen. Nalanda University that contained a treasure trove of knowledge was burned down by Islamic king. Along with these invasions, Sanksrit also died, making it difficult to translate docs. Tamil, the oldest living language is still spoken today, but not in the same form as it existed several thousand years back.
The Islamic rulers stole the Hindu number system and the Europeans wrongly attributed the origin to Arabs. Hence, Arabic numbers, not Hindu numerals. Even belly dancing originated in Hindu culture - the postures are seen in Hindu sculptures dating back to 6th century BC. All the hip ornaments, head ornaments, anklets, arm bands, nose rings, etc. worn by belly dancers are seen only in ancient Hindu sculptures. But guess who gets credit for it? The Islamic middle east! THere is NO evidence from the middle eastern countries that this type of jewelry and dance form existed in their country before they invaded India.
Due to all this destruction and Hindus preoccupation with attaining independence for over 400 years, modern day Hindu priests and scholars themselves cannot accurately explain the significance behind ancient Hindu scriptures, sculptures, artifacts, and even Hindu religious beliefs.
Southern India, esp. Tamilnadu, fought hard to retain its language, dances, and many customs. Although many temples and historical sites exist, they are partially destroyed and the local governments haven't done anything to preserve them.
Fun fact: Although Hindus have been attacked at least since 12th century, if not earlier, Hindus have never waged a war or illegally occupied another country. Unlike most other religions, Hindus do not forcibly convert or expect anyone to follow their religion. But they will welcome you with open arms if you choose to do so. There are many "shlokas" in Sanskirt that explain how to treat your guests as God himself, and most Hindus follow this practice. However, this respect and friendliness to foreigners ended up ruining Hindus.
This makes Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, and Jainism (all 4 religions originated in India) the most peaceful ancient religions of the world.
Although Western countries acknowledge the Holocaust and slavery in America, they are yet to acknowledge the slavery experienced by Indians at the hands of British a d other Europeans, or the mass killings and destruction done by Islamic rulers to Hindu religion, archeology, etc. Sadly, in the name of secularism and to protect Indian muslims, the Indian govt will never reveal the truth behind these mass destructions. Interestingly, the same destruction is happening in Syria, churches are being bombed and ethnic kurds wiped out by ISIS, etc., but we are not doing much to save them.

In 30-40 there was a flood in Yamuna in Agra. When the water receded, a beautiful ghat emerged just behind the fort. Government quickly hide that Ghat and made a road on that. It is generally said that a Shiv temple existed earlier where Taj stands now. Probably secularism means hiding everything that is Hindu.

Adding to the information, Dr. P. V. Vartak has written a book which has put a theory that Tajmahal has its original name Tejomahal and was Shive temple. The book name is with same title " ताजमहल नव्हे तेजोमहाल". That's supposed to be one big reason for keeping Tajmahal's many doors closed. Not surprised.. Delhi seems to have had 1000s of temples which is not surprising either, as it was a capital for long time from even before invasions.. to capture Delhi, all temples seems to have been demolished and made sure no trace remained.. but its very much possible that some or other artefact might emerge in diggings.. we also dont have enough investments on museums to store these artefacts as most influential people in India are hell bent on destroying the evidences..

Fake Tombs built in as the original floor and Tombs on it do not match at all with the floor work (art) and this mismatch is easily visible.. Many such facts and structural manupulations are worth noticing!

I, as a part of students from Coimbatore visited taj mahal. IN 1974. Note the year here. If my memory is correct, we saw the upper and lower chambers! And while going around, I saw the same wooden door which, I underztand from this video, was then sealed! Someone told me that the steps under that lead to a Shiva idol or where there was a Shiva idol earlier.
After many years I visited Minar in Delhi with my family. I was shocked to see very clearly stone carving shades that existed before in many many many coloumns.

I think it is now time to give total but monitored free hand to OUR archeological survey of India to break open everything and analyse. Though I doubt whether even after 1974, the same vested interests would have allowed any evidence to remain in its place.

As always Praveen, you bring out some pretty interesting and different explanations of these wonderful old temples and structures. On this visit to Taj Mahal, again you have brought out out things that the ordinary person would not get into!
Would it be possible that the government has a facility down there that holds secret or ancient equipment of a kind that would cause an uproar in general, or even Alien artifacts, to cause a problem for religion any reason?
Someone surely must have knowledge of the underground places there and the fort two kilometers away on the river, and have knowledge of the reasons for such secrecy knows what could be in those underground places?
Since there are so many ancient religions and secrets held in India, it is not likely that what I suggested would hold true, but rather that respect and honor for artifacts pertaining to past Kings or Gods would dictate such restrictions.

Perhaps the question of the underground chamber has been addressed already in the comments. But just in case, I was able to descend the stairs to chamber accessed within the structure in early 1976. The staircase, well- worn as I recall, led to a room containing what appeared to be tombs. When I was there other people were praying (?) and they didn't really appreciate a non-Indian entering the space. Inside the chamber atmosphere was somber but I felt no sense of forbidden mystery. He had to go downstairs a very long time and then he gathered huge halls like for tanks or vimanas. In one room the guard showed him a lot of metal plates with carved signs. It seems that there a tunnel between the fort and the platform where Taj Mahal was build on. With some sort of sonar equipment, a person could walk the bushes between the two structures, and map the path of the tunnel, without having to dig (or, then...dig when mapping the underground tunnel/passage...).
There must also be hidden ventilation shafts all along the route as well.

During 1990 I visited Taj Mahal that time they allowed to go down thru stairs to see the burials of king & queen. That time I have noticed a metal bowl hanging from the ceiling, as we can see in many Shiva temples from which water will fall on the head of linga. It is true that they have forgot to remove this. Otherwise What for that bowl should hang from ceiling ? Now the question is Who will bell the cat?

It is worthwhile examining the 'what if' of Indias history, Aurengzeb, Akbars great great grandson, had embarked on the 'Islamisation' of India. The Marathas, inspired by Shivaji, fought Aurengzeb and saved India from following the fate of Persia. The proof of Maratha victory lies in the fact that Aurengzeb lies buried, not in Lahore /Delhi or Agra , but near Aurangabad in good old Maharashtra...
Indian history before Shivaji's advent reads like a chronicle of military disasters. Shivaji changed all that. He used Guerilla Tactics very effectively. Shivaji, as a great warrior & visionary laid a strong and solid foundation that after his death in 1680, there was a series of battles fought between Marathas and Mughals from 1681 to 1707 known as 'War of 27 years' and ended with the death of Aurangzeb in 1707. The Marathas eventually emerged victorious and consolidated their lost territories. This was further expanded by the Peshwas. The Maratha empire reached its peak in summer of 1758 with the conquest of Attock, which is banks of Indus river in Pakistan today. Its eastern frontier was today’s Orissa, being ruled by Raghuji Bhosale of Nagpur. Maratha armies had also reached upto Murshidabad, but then retreated and settled for tribute from Bengal and control of Orissa. To the south, in 1758, territories upto the fort of Gurramkonda in Kadappah district were held. Also, Tanjore (Thanjavur) was under Marathas, but that was a different line. In 1761, the PANIPAT war was lost to the Afghans but Marathas RECOVERED quickly like phoenix bird within 10 years and brought the whole of North Indian again under their control during the 1770's under leadership of Madhavrao Peshwa..
Eventually, the Marathas grew stronger and fought the British in three Anglo-Maratha Wars (1775-82, 1803-05, 1817-18), In the First Anglo-Maratha War (1775-1782) The Marathas emerged Victorious. A Vijay Stambh (Victory Pillar) erected to commemorate Maratha victory over British is located at Vadgaon/Wadgaon Maval, close to the city of Pune. The 2nd and 3rd were subsequently lost and British established themselves.
(By the way, just for your G.K, Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is also considered as the 'Father of the Indian Navy'.)

When I returned back I started reading everything about it n then I struck Prof. Dr. Oaks videos, books, articles.Infact i heard from my father that in 1982 83 some officers who inspected Taz reported to Indira Gandhi the then Pm that many idols of God's n Goddesses were lying inside the underground chambers below Taz n that's when C ordered to seal all the chambers n keep under lock n key so that truth doesn't come out n riots could be avoided.
