I came to the channel only recently and can see why it has grown! The attitude of it is perfect and it has kept me inspired to work on my little project that has been sitting in the garage since early December. I got a 99 Mustang GT and for the first couple weeks I'd wake up thinking "oh god why did I buy that car, it's trash" and it has been through several owners and the last couple year's it's been abused and neglected so it's not what I though my weekend car would be (been thinking about one for years). But I found this channel and it has taken a lot of the fear away of working on my car. Every now and then I'm like.... "yeah it's not that complicated, I can do that".... or "well I can't do that but what I need to do is nothing in comparison". So if the guy running this channel is reading this, thank you. I have been encouraged to work on my car that hit pavement saturday and I'm excited for what it holds!
Chris, watching this video made me realize just how much you have taught me about fixing cars. I was putting new seats in my Mustang and I thought up a clever way of mounting the new seats to the original brackets. It wasn't until I saw you welding up the seats that I realized it was because of all these videos. You have taught me so many problem solving automotive skills over the years. I owe so much to you for these videos. Keep up the good work!
Would be sick if you added a "Garage" tab or something of the like to your website. Would be neat to scroll through and see the different builds, status (i.e. daily, running, re-broken, sold, etc.), links to the video-playlists, etc.
I would also like to see what all products he uses now that he has gotten most of the products sorted out. ie which brands of paints, wax removers, body waterproofers, etc.
Chris, Watching this recap really has me admiring the organic interplay between addressing quirky issues and the routine you've built around these cars. Some things you might expect to be old hat, and I can see your techniques becoming more efficient, you knowing what you are getting into before you do it, but things still come up! Your cars may have wildly different stories, but they all have to make the same trip. I love how most cars end in going to disneyland. Its a fun tradition for all these cars that involves Chelsea. Some of what you do i feel like i could add some experience, but most of what you do I feel like I have fathoms to learn. The beauty of the channel is that you lay it all out there. Your attitude rules and keep up the good work
Chris, I think another cool video you could do for the GTR is explaining how you did your tune. A lot of people don’t understand tuning and going to the shop to have someone else tune your car is EXPENSIVE. I think lots of people could benefit from that content.
what i appreciate, and what brings me back to watching your episodes is your enthusiasm and the fact that you approach each hurdle as a challenge and find the solution.. that is inspiring and something we can all use. great work. enjoy your work. cheers

What a brilliant video. I was mesmerized watching it and couldn't take my eyes away from the screen! Great build, can't believe the swiftness of progress and that you did all the work by yourselves. Awesome
@@bindingcurve true. I was just saying that it's not always a salvage after that. If he went more stock with it it could have been find going back to clean title.

Wow, outstanding! I been watching your project builds since the fj cruiser and I have been inspired ever since. As soon as I can save up for a project the real work begins. Keep up the great work, can't wait for the next build!

super stoked for you to finally get this build done man. You did some great work and made some great content out of all of it. Great job on it all and the car looks freaking amazing! Please keep doing what you're doing!
Never expected a full run through of the build and cost at the end! Awesome vid and hope you enjoy your new ride. I'll never see such a car in my lifetime.
Not to hate on the build BUT this car does have a SALVAGED title! That decreases the value right there! Some of the repairs were a bit lacking. It probably is worth about $30K maybe?
But like he said, he plans on keeping it for the time being and only getting rid of it if it has many problems down the line. So long as he enjoys his gtr the salvage title doesn't really mean anything.
Very true, However if it’s a keeper that doesn’t really matter. A few years ago I was working on my Miata while daily driving a brand new (at the time) Acura TL which I swapped for a fully manual. Long story short I lived that car and when I got into a pretty bad accident after hydroplaning into an oncoming 250 it was totaled. I kept it for a future project as I loved that car. After completing the project I had for the Miata I took it upon myself to rebuild the TL. I took it from a pile of twisted metal with damage to no end to a 10 sec 560HP drifting monster. My point is when you work on cars like these for a while you really appreciate the vehicle. And the salvage title means little if it’s a car you’re planning to keep around and enjoy for personal use. I sold the Miata btw. But I’ll probably never sell the TL, it’s probably worth 10-15 though I’ve spent almost twice as much. Sentimental value man.
Chris, I found you by accident a mere few hours after you uploaded the first video for the GT-R. It has been a blast watching you and I looked forward to the next build.

Depends on the state you register it in. In Missouri, you have to have an inspection by a state trooper then you register it as a clean title.
@@WalkerTxsRngr7 Anyone who inspects that car will not touch it. Anyone who buys a used GTR is going to inspect it.
@@bindingcurve true. I was just saying that it's not always a salvage after that. If he went more stock with it it could have been find going back to clean title.
Walker Gross I don’t think that inspection will pass as the GTR inner quarter panel is a violation per safety regulations

Awesome video, i wish more car builders made a price recap video set to a build time lapse. Really helps tie it all together. Cheers!
Are you comparing prices with cars that have not been accident damaged though?
What about the rest of the costs? Paint, sheet metal, other supplies etc. I think all that would ramp up the total cost by quite a bit to be fair.
You should do a BRZ build with upgrading the fa20 engine, turbo, and etc very detailed
He already built two, I doubt he'd get a third lol
neez duts hopefully it’s not an engine swap and he does something new. New bodykit, turbos, and build fa20 motor. Would be cool
