This is a mini OS for 2024 not for really older systems. I bought an old desktop computer for 25 usd just to be able to read floppy disks. I tried every possible light version of linux - puppy linux, lite linux, bodhi linux, etc., none worked well in that machine that I immediately upgrade its ram from 512 MB to 1 GB and replaced the hdd with a ssd. Only the installed windows xp worked extremely well and fast, it took less than 10 seconds to login, you just have have to block the internet access, otherwise you'll be infected in no time as I experienced. I am not in favor of discarding old hardware if it still works.
Thanks for leaving a note, yeah it's not for Windows XP era pc or laptops, however I tried it on 2 low spec laptops from 2013 (one runs on 7 and the other one runs on 8.1) and it worked just fine without slowdowns or freezes
Instaling it on modern 2 core and ssd means about nothing of it usability in older system where the cpu is weaker and the system uses slow ram and hdd. Its nice to see some features of distros but dont pretend it will be good to use on older hardware.
Yeah, you got a point there but I just wanted to show that it doesn't require much ressources to run comparing to larger distros such as Zorin or mint, I've also tried it as a Live USB on a 2013 ASUS tablet pc with 2GB of RAM and a Dual Core CPU and it ran just fine.
