I stayed in Hangzhou for over a year and I loved staying there and still dreaming to go back in there after this pandemic.

It sounds so white privilege. As a Chinese I speak ENglish all the time in Australia, no one says I am cool and sounds unique,, instead, if you can’t speak good English, people will say “go back to your country”.

@@aliceliu4548 people from every race speak english , its a common language so its not surprising to hear a chinese person speak english, i have spoken to chinese people with good english before , its common.. the other way round however , any Foreigner who speaks chinese is surprising because its not COMMON. its not ''white privilege'', ive seen black people speak chinese too and it was cool too. if you want someone to say your 'cool' or unique that badly then , learn a language that not many chinese people know cause a lot of chinese people speak english very well which is a good thing
