***** About Living Traditions Homestead *****
Living Traditions Homestead is all about living a simple and sustainable way of life. We believe the world has gotten too “busy” and that people are missing out on many of the true blessings this world has to offer. We started as a small urban homestead in Gilbert, AZ and after the city grew up around us, decided it was time leave corporate America and take a big leap of faith by moving our family to the Missouri Ozarks.
We put out 2 new videos every week! Wednesday and Saturday. We hope you will become part of our homestead family by subscribing to our channel and watching as we give up the rat race and live simpler, more fulfilling life in the country.

I have not seen Sarah so relaxed and happy in a long time .
Positively lovely, all the way, the kitchen, the recipe, and no glasses . I'm so happy for you after the rough patches you've been through.
Thanks so much! 😊
And the adorable apron.
& I love ur hair too!
You look terrific either way, but as someone who has worn contacts for 55 years, they are really easy!
Interested in mozzarella cheese making! Hope you do that soon. Love the yougart spot!😊@@LivingTraditionsHomestead
Morning ,Sarah! The next time you make dressing, if you dip your spoon in the oil and tap off the excess, then put in the mustard, it will slide right out. Then clean the oil out with the measured vinegar. 😁😁
Great tip thanks 👍
Amazing that so many don't know to do that, I learned that when I was 10 yrs old mom showed us. Can also dip in oil when cooking way more things.
Sarah, your kitchen is lovely. Thanks for the recipes and for the cheerful start to my day. By the way, I love the way your hair is greying. I think this stage of streak and change is beautiful. It is good to see another woman not afraid to let her natural beauty show. I am almost 75, and mine is only a little more grey than yours. Since I waited so long to get it, I will surely not hide it. Your apron is beautiful, too. This video is one of the best - a classic!
I enjoy all the aspects of homesteading that you and you dear husband show us. We are no longer farming, so watching (and learning) your videos are especially sweet and enjoyable for me. It is like going home for a while.
Thank you folks for your openness to show a good balance of every positive and negative of homesteading.
God bless you as you continue.
Abigail
The last time I had stuffed peppers I swore I’d never have it again. I took a chance on this recipe and it did NOT disappoint. I don’t have the seasoning described in this video so instead I used Italian seasoning, sage, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper; I added an egg and I added bacon grease because our beef was very lean. I loved it so much! It’s going in the rotation! 😋
PS to add: You’re absolutely glowing in your new kitchen.
What changed my attitude was cooking the filling and then cooking until crisp tender. The overcooked pepper turned me off.
"Ope!" The oven's ready!" Your Midwestern roots are showing! Love it!
I love your enthusiasm at making cooking videos in your beautiful new kitchen. Everything looks delicious! I actually didn't think the price of your peppers was too bad. In our area, the cost of red or yellow peppers are at least twice as much as what you paid. 😵💫 I love the apron that your Aunt made for you. It's beautiful. What a blessing to have such a sweet aunt in your life. Thank you for all of the wonderful videos that you and Kevin share. I've been happily watching you for years. 😊
Your aunt did a wonderful job making that apron, I like wearing them when I bake at holidays and family gatherings. As a vintage Pyrex collector, I always love seeing you use your vintage yellow Pyrex bowl.
Love your new kitchen and you’re new look without your glasses!
What a great recipe, the salad dressing looks amazing too! I’m going to try them both. Great to have you back in the kitchen.
If you mayo “flops” start over with new ingredients and then once you get it to the stage where is is getting creamy you can begin to slowly add the “,flop” and remaking oil. No waste double batch!
You look so pretty with out your glasses and that apron is beautiful. I love watching you and Kevin and what you guys have accomplished on both the old homestead and now the new farm. Keep up the great work.
You are so cute in your new kitchen 🤗 Will try this recipie (i'm too on keto 😁 so thank you so much for this one!) Big hug and lots of love to you all (and every one else who feel like a need of a hug or a bit of love today 🥰)
Hope you like it!
Thanks 🤗
I'm on keto too, and this is going on my meal prep list for this weekend. That way, I won't have to think about what to make for dinner after work next week. This looks so yummy!
Recipe looks delicious. And also I've noticed the sound is a little better on this one, not as much echo. I know it takes a while to work out the bugs in a new place. BTW I'm loving that you are letting your hair go natural with the beautiful silver streaks. So pretty.
Nice to see you in your new kitchen. You guys deserve this, you've clearly worked hard for it! Love your apron and the overall "camera ready homemaker" look. BTW for those who want carbs in this recipe, add cooked rice to the meat mixture or serve it on the side.
It's such a joy to see you looking mentally, physically and emotionally rested.
I love a cute apron. I have ruined many shirts, not wearing an apron. I also watch and enjoy Kate's channel. She has so much energy.
Thanks for sharing the keto recipe. I was keto faithful for over 5 years, until my father died. People brought in food at his passing and I just couldn't deal with cooking and it did me in. I have decided that Jan. 15th is the day to start again. You are blessing me. Thank you.
Wonderful to see you doing a cooking video again. You look positively radiant since moving to your new home. God bless and keep you and yours.
Hello Living Traditions, I have watched all of your videos at least twice some more. It is such a pleasure to see the things you all do on your homestead. God Bless and happy homesteading
What a treat to see you in the kitchen today! You’re just overflowing with joy!
God Bless you and the family.
It was wonderful to see you in the new kitchen with a new recipe. I realized when you said that you have had your new property for almost three years that Ive been a subscriber for five years now! Time sure does fly and it is still as great to see you guys now as it was five years ago. God bless you all.
Yea!!! Sarah did her 1st cooking video and in the new kitchen...looks delicious 😋
@living traditions homestead
so happy to see more cooking videos! Love the idea of you making new fun ideas in your new kitchen!
I vote for a whole new series of cooking with Sarah and Kevin in the new kitchen!!! 😉. Please!!!! 🙏🙏😊
Sara the cooking show today was great. My wife and I were watching at 6:00 am this rainy & snowy morning in Clifton Colorado. Your smile and apron are adorable to us. And I'm sure we could smell the peppers thru the computer screen.🤣 Thank U Ronnie &Kim
Nice to see you so relaxed and happy.
Always a pleasure to spend time with you in the kitchen! ♥️🙏🏼♥️
Recipe begins at 4:52. You do a great job demonstrating your recipes! My favorite video is how you paid off your home and moved to your Missouri homestead. 😊
Peppers look so great! Beautiful kitchen!
I love the apron that your Aunt made for you. It's beautiful. The salad dressing I will have to try, never had Caesar salad dressing before. You are positively glowing Sarah and looking very happy and relaxed. I wish you the very best in selling your old property. Have a lovely day.
A little tip for you Sarah,my late husband's Father was born in Worcestershire in England, and it was called Wooster,so just call the sauce WOOSTER sauce.🤣😍😍
So glad to see you in the kitchen again
CONGRATS ON THE NEW KITCHEN!! Great recipe! Have a great day!!
Please do not change, love Keto and intermitting fasting you are very unique.
Thanks, Sarah for this healthy and delicious looking recipe. I've been following you and Kevin for years, all of the "ups and downs" of your life on the Homestead. Whatever you are doing, keep doing it as you look fantastic 👍🏻. You seem so happy and healthy looking! Watching this video just puts one in a good mood. Thanks for such an enjoyable program today. Your new kitchen is so beautiful and efficient. Take care and please say hi to Kevin. Wishing both of you and your loved ones a very Happy, healthy, rewarding and peaceful New Year in 2023. 🫂❤️🙏🌎🕊
Your new kitchen is beautiful. I do miss the old kitchen though. And you were closer in the videos in your old kitchen. The peppers look delicious.
Love the video great to see you back in the kitchen what time is dinner you look great with or without glasses Sarah the new kitchen is beautiful ❤
My sister is in a nursing home and I take Sunday lunch to her, so she has some 'good' food. I told her last week I had some peppers and would bring them this week. This will be a great to try. THANKS!
God's peace upon you Sarah and Kevin. This looks so epic! I may try it soon! It was a blessing to see you in the kitchen. I am not much of cook, but a guy has gotta give it a try!
If you drill a small hole in the bottom of the food plunger of your food processor you can fill it up like a cup that slowly drizzles the oil in. Makes emulsifying very easy!
Great tip!
Sarah you look beautiful 😍 with or without glasses. Can't wait to see what delicious food you create for us. God Bless ♥️♥️
My grandmother always used ground pork and beef in her stuffed cabbage. The pork makes them more tender and makes them taste so much better!
Those look DELICIOUS 😋🤤
Also, Sarah, you look beautiful with and without you glasses ❤️ I have a question: I'm still wondering what's behind the door by the oven...is it a pantry you are waiting to show us? I just can't imagine you getting a new house and new kitchen without a pantry 😂 Love you guys so much! I was drinking my coffee just waiting for your video
Have a great week and God bless you all so much
Dinner looks so good! I bet pepper jack cheese would be great in place of the mozzarella. Love home made mayo. What some people don't realize is that adding vinegar it sets or cooks the egg, you may notice that the color of the egg changes it turns a lighter color. That is the process of the egg being cooked. When making the dress everything you added to it are the same things that go in a true Creaser salad. So good.
Yay! A cooking video! So good to see you! I love to watch Kate also!
Sarah, you have absolutely tickled me today with your obvious joy and enthusiasm. It’s always fun to cook in a new kitchen. Absolutely love the beautiful apron and it suits you to a T! God bless y’all on this wonderful adventure❤
Good morning Sarah it's good to see you again in the kitchen take care stay safe and God bless from Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
I know you love your new kitchen but I really miss the homeyness of the old kitchen. I loved that kitchen. So nice and bright with plenty of counter space...I like the old time feel of it.
With all the peppers you grow, you can freeze them whole for stuffed peppers. Just stack them in a gallon freezer bag. I usually get 6 peppers in a bag. Works wonderful for stuffed peppers.
Cute video Sarah. Your personality is very bubbly in this video. I'm super excited to watch more recipes of yours. I'm so glad you are promoting Venison For Dinner. I love watching her vlogs. I bought my whole cheese kit because of her. And she is amazing with juggling family, farm, and wife duties. I also have been posting her vlogs to my social media accts to try and boost her followers.
Thanks for that clarification. I thought she said “Medicine For Dinner”!
I didn't know you without your glasses.
I like the 2 camera approach. It reminds me of Jacques Pépin’s cooking videos. You look so happy to be cooking in your new kitchen.
Love that you are doing keto meals. I’d love to see more.
I have that same bowl from my mother who passed away almost 3 years ago. It brings back many great memories of helping her in the kitchen.
This looks wonderful and so delicious! Your kitchen is perfect and your enthusiasm is the cherry on top. I have been waiting for kitchen and cooking events to start up. You certainly did not disappoint. Thank you so much. ~Sharon from Florida
The sound that quail egg shell made when you cut it made me so happy
What a lovely video, seeing what joy the new home brings you. Your kitchen is amazing looks very functional. And Sarah you look so different without your glasses on in a good way of course. Here’s to many more cooking videos coming from that beautiful kitchen.
My son will love this. Thank you.
Happy that you were in the kitchen today! Love the recipe. Will try this for sure. Thank you Sarah for all that you share! 🥰
You seem so relaxed and happy in your new space! I'm so glad you can finally enjoy everything after so much work and focus on what you love most. it's such a nice kitchen, and that music playing oven, wow you bring out all the stops! Thanks for a great recipe. We don't normally mix beef and pork, and have never tried to make homemade mayo before, we'll sure be trying that this summer when we have whole peppers again in the garden!
Love seeing you looking so happy and healthy! This recipe is getting made as soon as I get to the grocery store.
For years I have mixed bulk sausage with ground beef for MANY dishes - it bumps the flavor so nicely no matter what dish I make. Thank you for sharing your homestead experiences with us, God Bless!!
So good to see you guys back. I was getting tired of always watching The Veggie Boys, A Stable Life and Larson Farms. Great to have a cooking video again.
That’s so true, I do love the veggie boys, but it does get very repetitive. But Sarah and Kevin are always doing something different, so I find it much more interesting. 😊
The new kitchen is beautiful!
I love stuffed peppers but haven’t eaten them after becoming diabetic and can’t eat rice. I will definitely be making these! Thank you for this video. I love you following you and your husband. You guys are amazing ❤😊
I have used quinoa instead of rice. Would that be a better option for you?
@@joyces.9021, thank you for the suggestion. I went with being carnivore for the past 1 1/2 years and my health turned for the best health in years. I’m just going to try the bell peppers as a social meal! 😉. Thank you for your helpful concern and caring!
So glad to see you back in the kitchen.
Love the new kitchen, Sarah, and love the recipe! Thanks for bringing us along today! I admit, I giggled a bit when you said you were cutting half inch slices of cheese. It looks like a quarter inch from here 😂 Doesn’t matter, still turned out fantastic as always!❤
Guuuuurrrrrlll you are lookin gorgeous! Love the hair, love the nails, beautiful with or without glasses! Aunt Carolyn is talented! If you put all those ingredients into a quart jar at the same time and buzz it up with an immersion blender it goes much quicker and emulsifies every time, love it!
Several comments:
I wore contacts for ages, it takes practice.
I love the mayo recipe, it's much better than the one I've used & I think I'll start making it as a standard
Most stuffed peppers I've had, also included rice in the mix, maybe because we always had a BIG family. Now it's me & dad.
I'll not use Italian season, as I'm allergic to anise & fennel, but I'll do the rest.
In the past, I would make the stuffed pepper - cook - unstuff them, save the pepper & restuff, lol, talk about stretching. The meat stuffing was yummy, BTW only 2 uses of pepper worked. When u come from 8 kids & have a zillion yourself u do odd things
Last comment. Love the way u filmed with angles, showed off the food & kitchen to advantage
I am so glad to see you cooking again
Sarah, you look so cute with your contacts in! And the Italian stuffed peppers look amazing! Will be trying this yummy recipe soon. Good to see you back in the kitchen.😁
Loved this video. Yes, I'll be looking for the sausage seasoning. I have an idea. Take a small deer antler and attach it to the cabinet near the sink. Use it to hang a hand drying towel. I bet Kevin has some antlers on the homestead from his hunts. God Bless you and all on the homestead in the New Year. Thank you for sharing your life learnings with us.
Great video!!! You were so happy and bubbly I love it 🥰 also… the Worcestershire pronunciation 😂😂😂
I was just thinking that I had been missing your cooking/canning videos! So happy to see you in the kitchen again. I have learned so much from how you do things in the kitchen. Blessings on you and your family.
You look so excited and happy to cook with us in your new kitchen! The meal is looking beautiful. Bring on those keto/low carb recipes girl
Sarah. You can take your garden peppers. Wash take core out leave them whole or you can half let dry. Put in big freezer bag do not thaw. Just stuff while frozen and finish the way you do. If you thaw they turn to mush. You can dice, strips, circles, bigger chunks, just don't thaw before you use. Sure is cheaper. Taste is perfect
If you have an immersion blender, it is a game changer for making mayo. Just put all ingredients in a jar and blend. No need to slowly add the oil. You just keep the blender still until most of the ingredients have emulsified. Then you start moving the blender to incorporate all the oil. Mayo in less than a minute. Love watching the kitchen videos.
Nice cooking inspiration Sarah, thank you. I was just watching your old video about okra and I have a nice recipe, which I learned in Dubai. I think it is Jordanian.
You fry pieces of lamb or beef or both on onion. Ad salt, pepper, cumin, coriander and a little cinnamon powder. Cook it in broth. Cut stems from okra, but do not cut inside. Fry it a little on olive oil. Ad chopped tomatoes to meat ( or tomato paste, pasta sauce) and okra. Cook a little more. Before the end you may add crushed garlic.
Fry chopped cilantro, add crushed garlic to cilantro, fry only a little and add this to finished meat with sauce. Eat with rice.
( when I do not have okra, I use string beans).
Good to see you back in the kitchen, and it looks like you had a wonderful time. Was really fun to watch.
Tonight tried your stuffed peppers.
Sarah we will never doubt you ever.
These are by far the best of the best.
Paul & Charlene
You seem so happy, relaxed and animated to be back in your kitchen! I love your musical oven! Do your washer and dryer also sing? 😂 Great video! ❤
My washer and dryer are old, but my fridge and dishwasher also play music!
Awesome!
You just look so happy cooking in your new kitchen.. I love that you did the keto for us as well.
Sarah, you have such pretty eyes. A person can see that when you wear glasses too but it's easier to see them without glasses. While you have always seemed like such a happy positive woman,in this video, there's an extra skip in your step, and it was so fun to see! We only see a few minutes of you and Kevin's day but I can only imagine what a work load you were both doing each day. Your kitchen is so beautiful and to see you enjoying it like this is just wonderful! Thank you for sharing your awesome recipe! 😊
I am so glad you are teaching about Keto , My husband and I are also now long time Keto and low carb. I love this way of life.
Love your new kitchen l know your family is excited for this new farm l have to say l loved your old kitchen too l enjoy older styles a lot but still appreciate whatever l have❤️
Pausing at 5:10…. I too have TWO yellow Pyrex. My Grandmas and my Hubby’s Grandmas! I use them all the time!! Actually- ALL of my Pyrex are hand me downs from Grandparents of some sort ❤❤. So many great things have been made to feed bellies and make memories from!! Love it!!
Thank you for sharing how homesteaders can make keto and low carb meals. So many base their meals around potatoes and beans that they have grown, and starches in general. I'm interested in seeing how someone homesteads a little differently when those kinds of crops aren't the staples. Though I do love both potatoes and beans, and do indulge in small amounts on occasion, like you, I have learned that I need to be varying degrees of low carb and keto a majority of the time. I've lost 80 pounds so far and have a ways to go, so meals like this are fantastic. Especially, as you said, I can round out the meal for my non keto family with some bread or pasta if they want it.
Also, I wanted to tell you, I'm so impressed with your filming this video. I've watched every single video, I think, for the last four years, at least, and they're all great, but I know how much more planning and time and effort go into a video filmed like this. At least four camera angles, two cameras, an overhead mount, multiple tripods, keeping track of which camera you're speaking to, and then the editing of all that footage and picking out the appropriate sections from each camera's footage. Even controlling the lighting and focus. It looked awesome, very well done! And I'm so glad to see you enjoying your new kitchen.
Some ideas I'd love to see for recipes are how to use some lower carb crops in recipes, and how to grow them. I'm just learning now how to use turnips, daikon radishes and other radishes, and jicama. I don't know enough about any of them yet to know if I can grow them where Im at, but even if I have to buy them, they would help me make a more varied keto meal plan.
I'm so happy to see you doing a keto-friendly recipe! Keep 'em coming! God bless you both!
You guys are so deserving of the blessings. Beautiful chef, beautiful kitchen, beautiful apron, and beautiful recipe!!
You and your kitchen are looking so Beautiful!
So glad to see you in the kitchen one of my favorite parts of your channel !!
You are just so happy in your new kitchen,. Wonderful recipe. Beautiful new home and congratulations and God bless you.
You could make ahead when you have peppers and freeze.
You seem so happy and relaxed! Great video!
I love stuff peppers. Nothing like fresh peppers from the garden to start off the recipe. Mom’s recipe goes back 72 years for me. Thanks for the video😋
Sarah, I greatly enjoyed watching this video today. My hearing would make your voice in the old kitchen so high pitch I could not listen to a full kitchen video. It was greatly refreshing to hear your voice on a kitchen video in your new home. I looks very good. Blessings to you.
I had no idea you two were keto, that's amazing!! I've been keto 6 years myself and can say I have healed so many things, and feel so much better doing it! I hope you all have found it to be just as beneficial for yourselves. Your new kitchen, and home is absolutely gorgeous, love your channel.
Thanks for sharing recipes and time, cooking from your new kitchen. It's heart-warming to see you so happy!!
Love how happy you are in the new kitchen. So happy for you. God bless.
Didn't realize how much I've missed your cooking videos. Thank you!
The peppers look so yummy! You can't go wrong with cheese! Love the new kitchen, too! And, yes, wear more aprons! Your aunt did a great job.
You look so happy!!! Who will be down with such a beautiful kitchen...
Beautiful new home and a very beautiful couple. Love what you are doing and the new homestead.
Sarah! You look so happy in your new kitchen! So good to see you there again! It's a beautiful kitchen! God Bless!
