The only channel that is completely indoors except when theres a pandemic when it becomes outdoors....
Ah, I think there are a lot of channels that are completely indoors.
Cody, you rule. :)
Thank you. I only wish my kingdom was more lucrative.
Love the new setting outside. Thank you Cody for bringing this game to my attention. It checks all the boxes for me as I am passionate about history and politics... and is available :) Edit: great cover too!
Danke. I am posting from outside as my apartment is filled with boxes and storage containers at the move in anticipation of my move.
I could listen to you read a phone book... if those still existed.
I've been told by many women that my voice is my most attractive feature. Of course, that's no great feat considering how ugly I am... ;)
I've seen this game in a shop and passed it by, the look did not grab me to say the least, but had I know the designer (yeah, silly me for not remembering the name) Pavlov's house and Undaunted are some of the best games I've ever played. Now I do need to get it. :)
Fantastic! I think you'll enjoy it.
I got this game to introduce my dad to board gaming. He worked with many relevant fields related to this game during the Cold War and post-cold war. Despite being a complete gamer novice he really enjoyed it.
Karim Theilgaard Fantastic!
What a country! In Russia we also have game show. Is called "Bowling for Food"

Ha!
Hannibal Rome vs Carthage is a great game!
Yes. Yes it is.
What was that flashing green light in the middle of the video?
I'm not sure. I've been having some issues lately with videos doing that. My first draft of this one it completely ruined my opening montage.
I was hoping you were going to review this. I've had my eye on it for a while, but I kept thinking, I wonder what Cody's opinion will be? The theme is right up my alley, and I'm always on the lookout for good two-player games. It is now on my list.
Fantastic! Happy to help!
Personally I find the cards of the countries you dominate are weaker or have a built in downside when playing them, than your starting cards. In my experience it’s a matter of balancing on a 5 Influence and only locking down a country late or if you need to for a headline scoring.
Interesting.
It’s hard for me to think this game would adequately represent history. I had thought it might cover the period from 2010 to the present then hypothesize to around 2030. Russia has so little power from 1991-2008 that the game should be really lopsided to the NATO/EU player if it accurately depicts the real history. But that’s my knee-jerk reaction prior to playing.
I think you might be pleasantly surprised with it.
Does this game have history in it the same way as Twilight Struggle? Is there a lot of flavor text?
Yes, but not as much. Most cards simply present actions. The advantage cards have some historical flavor to them, but not nearly as much as TS.
All of the headlines cards feature historical text.
As mentioned, the headline cards do but the text is REALLY tiny. That’s about my only gripe with the game.
