I’m gonna be honest but I wish they would make another Drarry series because they are great at it but of course if they don’t want to they don’t have to I would never pressure or force someone to do something they don’t want to do so personally I would like it but if they don’t it’s fine just keep up the great work! They also said one time that they were like planning one so if they are, take your time!
We are currently creating a series called "8th Year", which I would warmly recommend people who want more drarry in the future to watch ^^

NOOOO!!! 8 hrs ago this could have prevented a meltdown and crisis!!! Tried to bake something quite similar... but as a European the American baking instructions almost made me cry...my friends almost died of laughther and I felt like Hermione... messing up a potion for the first time.... except she probably never messed up... 😂🤣😂
lesson learned: never ever trust cups and spoons!!!

I keep missing these Monday videos for some reason. I have notifications turned on, but UA-cam, apparently, doesn't want me to be happy on Mondays, huh.
As much as I love sweet things and don't mind baking/cooking at all, working with dough or just flour is not for me. I'm too clumsy and messy, so cleaning the mess takes more time than cooking itself. You keep saying *you* are messy, and I just can't agree with it, lol.
Your statement about pizza makes sense, though! I laughed at first, but then...

I made pumpkin pasties after the pumpkin juice recipe video (since I had extra pumpkin.) I added more sugar, and I also made them bigger. With the bigger pasty, you can put more filling in, so you get a more even flavour between crust vs filling. I don't cook my puree prior, but I understand you said you couldn't find canned pumpkin.
I think the only reason the recipe specifically said not to use pumpkin pie filling was because it also called for the extra stuff, that usually is already in pre-made pumpkin pie filling.
My best advice is to make the pumpkin to taste. Add some stuff, adjust it to your own personal liking, and then use that instead (and yes, I agree with Robin on reducing the filling. Yours did seem kinda "goopy" as you said.)
I know its a bit late. But if you do more of these, maybe try treacle tart. It was Harry's favourite dessert and would be interesting to see

p.s. Robin, is that book good? i looked it up and i read the Temeraire series by that author a long time ago (when i was 10 haha). if you recommend it i will add it to my very long reading list.
I think it was Novik's best book thus far, when it comes to writing style, though I enjoyed the personal journey of the protagonist in Uprooted more. I am forever disappointed by her books take on romantic relationships though, I don't think romance is Novik's strength and her stories would be better without that particular sub-plot ^^; But other than that, both Spinning Silver and Uprooted were really good! I am going to try out the first book in her new series about a magic school (Deadly Education) next :)

Just had a look cause I was sure I had seen them in the shops. Rock cakes are actual English cakes. Which were promoted in ww2 as they didn’t use up much of the rations, not many eggs were needed etc. Hagrid was just bad at making them. Slytherin, Raven Claw, Gryffindor And Hufflepuff. My main is Probably Slytherin, Then it's raven claw. So yea. Pumpkin is pretty bland on its own. I find that I can at least double the amount of spices in a given recipe and appreciate the results, though I never would have thought of substituting pepper for allspice. Allspice has a cooler, earthier quality without the heat of pepper. It's definitely an intriguing idea, flavor-wise! :-) I usually use 2 parts cinnamon to 1 part each of nutmeg, cloves, allspice, and sometimes ginger with pumpkin recipes.
I'm not sure what to suggest to give you a thicker filling, as I usually either make sweet bread or pie from pumpkin, and neither one would work in a hand pie. Maybe if you bake pumpkin pie filling halfway to firm it up, then put it in the pasty? (Maybe it can only be done with magic, LOL) Pumpkin pie can be delicious, especially if you like custard!

This is awesome, they looked really nice in the end!!! Another pumpkin food that I absolutely LOVE and have every year is pumpkin pie. it's definitely not common everywhere! I don't know about Sweden specifically, but I know firsthand that it's hard to find in Turkey.

I'm not a fan of pumpkin but those were cute little pasties. I'd probably use some type of fruit filling. Just before Mattias sprinkled sugar on the top I was thinking, "I would put sugar on them."
