- I mainly use two float tubes, one big one for most of my local waters and a smaller one for ease of transport ( venues that require walking a long way or even to take on holidays abroad in a suitcase.
If you want to tie the body tubing mouse: • The Tying Sessions Ep:...
The rod is use Epic Bandit : swiftflyfishin...?aff=24
Float tubing in the Dominican Republic: • Vlog#9: DIY Fly fishin...
Awesome video! I just love fishing with a float tube. For those who don't want to add a large fish finder, I can recommend the Deeper. Very handy sonar and only requires a mobile.
Thank you, yes they are very easy to transport , I have a good few clients that use them. Humminbird and Garmin also do their own version too .
I've been googling Lough Down, took me about 10 minutes to realize you said "we're still on lockdown"! Haha
😃
It’s great fun to see how much you enjoy this type of fishing! 🙂
Thanks Dirk!
Brilliant Norbert thanks
Many thanks Tony, glad you enjoyed it !
Very nice setup, never used my float tube... lovely lake :)
Thanks mate, you should give it a go if you own one , great fun 😉
Enjoyed that thank you 🎣👌
You’re welcome Dave, thank you for watching !
Looks like a good set up. I just got a FC Scout and have a couple questions: 1. What glue do you use to attach the Scotty Glue on mounts? and 2. How do you has the fishfinder attached to the spreader bar?
I am enjoying your pike vids.
Hey Douglas, the glue I use is a PVC adhesive from Polymarine, it’s used for inflatable boats. The fish finder is attached to the spreader bar with a Scotty bar mount. All attachments on the Scout are from Scotty, I’m very happy with them. Hope that helps!
Very nice video Norbert! The action of the bandit is amazing! I really love it! What net do you use?
Cheers Andreas, yes the Bandit has always been my favourite rod for pike !
The net is an old fox one , ( discontinued unfortunately)I had the change the rubber mesh, and make a smaller handle .
cool video norbert i prefer sparrow floattube because big gabarit ;)
Thank you Bastien, yes the Sparrow is a nice rig too 👌😉
A fellow glass rod user! I use a moonlit lunar s glass in u weight as an all rounder. Is yours a 10wt? Ive just started like on the fly after fishing for trout. Started targetting carp and other species. But i do fancy a 10wt glass rod!
@@MrClouston88 yes i use 8# about 20% of my time and the rest is 10 weight 😉
@@MrClouston88 ten weight glass rod from epic, it’s called the Bandit!
What website can I buy that boat from ?
I got that one from smartlures.nl . This one on that video is coming up for sale soon .
How did the Caperlan float tube hold up?
I am actually in the process of making a full review video after 18 months use , should be out on his week or next week 😉
@@NorbertRenaud Excellent! I have a Fishcat but it's on another continent so I really want to know whether the Caperlan will "do for now". Any hints?
@@garyglen-young7480 for the money and after sale service it’s pretty hard to beat. They are well built.
Looking forward to that review
Tell him I told you maybe he will give you a discount.
Thank you Aaron, they look like awesome nets!
