Surah Ar-Rum
This Surah has 60 verses divided into 6 Rukus/Sections.
(Arabic: الروم, romanized: 'ar-rūm, lit. 'The Romans')
is the 30th chapter (sūrah) the Quran, consisting of 60 verses (āyāt).
Sūra al-Rūm (Arabic: سورة الروم) is the thirtieth and a Makki sura of the Qur'an in its twenty first juz'.
Its appellation as "al-Rum" (Rome) is because it predicted the defeat of Romans from Persian
and then in a near future the defeat of Persians from Romans.
The Rum people in the Qur'an
Rum (pronounced Room) is the whole Roman Empire,
It is named Surah and is called Rum because that's what the Persians used to call them.
Throughout their 1000 year-long wars.
So Quran also uses this name to refer to it.
although at that time, the Byzantine Empire (Eastern Roman Empire) is the particular target.
This Surah has 60 verses divided into 6 Rukus/Sections.
