Man, when I was in high school I had developed a low single with a ton of confidence and I would try to find so many set ups for it. When I watched this video, the takedown at 6:17 sparked me a little to try that misdirection with my low singles since I was ambidextrous with the move. Incorporating that misdirection made me feel like I had the best low single in the room every where I went… was so fun to hit especially with the misdirection, got a good amount of Oos and aahs, always felt smooth.
Heflin stalled so much in his career. And that stalling ended up costing him his chance at an NCAA championship. When he wanted to wrestle and be aggressive he was good but I guess stalling was just more his thing.
that was my signature, the greatest passive aggressive take down out there. Love'd it. Circle away from the target leg, when his weight is on the leg, outside sweep...every time.... cha ching.
That first period was so awkward. This isn’t a good matchup at all... we gotta very defense oriented wrestler vs a very talented aggressive wrestler. I hate watching matches like this. The one really good miss direction shot is what I came here for.

Every match I've seen with Heflin he just stalls and tries to crawl off the mat. Like Cael said he makes our sport boring haha
Locks up a nearside cradle 20 seconds into the match... He blocks Heflin's left ankle for the takedown at 4:40, that's some Penn State magic.
Do you have link to the 2012 Finals at 174lbs Ed Ruth vs Nick Amuchastegui?
Jeeze that takedown at 6:17 was beautiful
6:18 ooooh perfect
