Fondazione Prada at Milan

Fondazione Prada Milan came to life in 2015 thanks to the efforts of OMA studio and famed architect Rem Koolhaas. A meticulous restoration project transformed a former 1910s distillery in the Largo Isarco area into a vibrant contemporary art space. 3 years later, in 2018, the complex was expanded with the addition of a new building, finalizing its current form.
Beyond its renowned permanent collection, the foundation has diverse offerings across its buildings and floors. The Podium space hosts captivating temporary exhibitions, while the Cinema hosts a state-of-the-art multimedia auditorium. The Torre, with its nine floors, displays its permanent collection on different levels. Its layout changed this time, where a few floors were closed, and some exhibits had been modified since my 2018 visit.
