Namiss ko bigla ang thailand. I lived and worked there for 14 yrs. medyo mahal ung benta nila ng fruits kasi tourist spot ung pinuntahan mo pero kung local market half the price ng mga binili mo ang makukuha mo. Sana dinala ka ng taxi sa chatuchak market or sa ibang sikat na thai market. Dun ka tlaga makakatikim ng authentic thai street food. Try chicken satay, pad thai and try mo din ung pad krapao na minced pork. Panalo ung mga food na un. Enjoy bangkok!

If you love fruit, you should go to Bangkapi. Mas mura dun. Ang pomelo 100 lang isang buo. I think super mahal sa market na yan. lol. First time ko makakita ng super mahal na fruits dito sa bangkok. Usually less than 50 per kilo lang. How I wish I can tour you Hash but I hope you enjoyed your trip.
Same thought po. Nashookt ako sa prices sa fruits. Usually below 50b lng nmn. First time ko nakta 200/kg yung santol. 😅 Pero baka mga tourists talaga pumupunta dito.

Actually, cheap lang ang mga fruits na yan kung nasa local market kayo. Since you are in the tourist area, mahal yan lahat. Ang santol na ganyan kalaki sa aming local market ay 80baht/kilo lang. Those mangoes are just 50/kilo lang yan. In season, tag 20baht/kilo lang yan sa local maeket namin. All prices mag dedepende sa area. more than 18 years na ako sa Thailand kaya alam ko ang fair prices. Pag tourist ka, tatagain ka talaga sa prices.

Hash fave mo pala mangoes, I recommend Guimaras mangoes in Guimaras Iloilo, they have the sweetest mangoes in the Philippines. And every May they have the Manggahan Festival
