NINGEN ISU is the precursor of Metal in Japan, they're doing it for over 30 years. Though Babymetal atracted attention to Metal in Japan and people discovered Ningen Isu, I knew them because I love many things in Asian culture and in the 80's there were successful Japanese bands that called attention to the Metal there too. But just now NINGEN ISU is getting the status of legend of Japanese Metal it's due to them. React to "The Colour Out Of Space",

In Japan the musicians are doing really interesting things, they are not afraid to innovate or be wrong. So the result is surprising. Ningen Isu, some time ago I found this band by chance. I suppose was a YT suggestion. If you are interested there is another really awesome band that mixes with great mastery the traditional Japanese music and rock. They are The Waggaki Band. ua-cam.com/video/wRaP6TmKTQE/v-deo.html
Not a hard fan of this band, but what I know Ningen Isu means "The Human Chair", and that names comes from a horror japanese manga (comic) where, imagine, a person hides INSIDE a couch, living there, sleeping there, eating there, and more, and the inhabitants of the home never noticed, except they "feel" not comfortably when using that particular chair, and one person even said he heard the chair "breath". I don't remember name's mangaka, but his style is very disturbing and crude, and this band have themes about dark poetry and eroticism, and the singer looks like a japanese writer or philosopher, so... you can suppose the rest.
I don't know if I'm right, but it seems Japan has a very close minded atttitude regarding making their artists known out of Japan. I've come to known quite a few, mostly due to my love for anime and japanese culture in general, and Ningen Isu I just stumbled upon them a few days ago trough the youtube algorythm. It's such a shame that bands like this and others dont get more popular worldwide.
This band kicks ass dude I love the change into the heavy groove and the first guitar solo just fuckin rips dude. Kick ass reaction! \w/ Nothin like P90 pickups.
Thanks for the heart. I just finally picked up my bass and jammed this out just now. Totally satisfying. It may sound basic to some but it has a lot of complexity.

It’s a band that is not famous in Japan Unfortunately, even if I ask 10,000 people, only one person knows it. I'm glad that people from overseas listen to it even if many Japanese don't know… NI N GE N I SU is a heretic, unlike other Japanese musicians. Most of Japanese songs are love songs. (ua-cam.com/video/CLoUY1kA4ZY/v-deo.html) I just heard it recently and Ryan would go nuts for the guitar and bass work!!!! And let me say this about "Elvis" on drums he can smash those stick and gong as well as anybody bashing today!!!!
I felt like it is a mix of the following: Modern Metallica, System of a Down, Black Sabbath, and a hint of Alice in Chains! These guys fucking ROCK!!!

「Heartless Scat」
If you, Holy Angels, do exist in this universe,
Will you bless me on the cheeks?
With my painful effort never paid off.
I've just been standing in the shadow,
Will the day come someday when I can fly high in the sky?
Will the day come when I can see the sun?
Tell me, Holy Angels.

If you, Divine Goddess, are staying hidden somewhere,
Why don't you smile at me on my forehead?
I've never tasted the nectar of victory.
I’ve never succeeded in love.
Will the day come when I can get intoxicated by the victory?
Will the day come when I can embrace love?
Tell me, Divine Goddess.

Countless stars are twinkling in the sky.
Every man is under them,
with a thousand wishes in his heart
Lululu Lululu…
If you, Lord Buddha, really exist in some place,
Please have mercy on me, too.
Having nothing precious in my possession,
Desolated,
Isolated,
I've been living my life with a series of failures.
Will the day come when I can totally be satisfied?
Will the day come when my dreams come true?
Tell me, Lord Buddha.

That basist looks and acts exactly like guitar player of Dimmu Borgir
In Japan the musicians are doing really interesting things, they are not afraid to innovate or be wrong. So the result is surprising. Ningen Isu, some time ago I found this band by chance. I suppose was a YT suggestion.
If you are interested there is another really awesome band that mixes with great mastery the traditional Japanese music and rock. They are The Waggaki Band.
ua-cam.com/video/wRaP6TmKTQE/v-deo.html
I second Wagakki Band too. Beni is
I also recommend Wagakki Band, they are a genre-buster!
clear bass here... great band.. got surprses every minute getin heavier and darker
I love your analogy. Darth Video morphed in Gene Simmons.
6:11 great
Not a hard fan of this band, but what I know Ningen Isu means "The Human Chair", and that names comes from a horror japanese manga (comic) where, imagine, a person hides INSIDE a couch, living there, sleeping there, eating there, and more, and the inhabitants of the home never noticed, except they "feel" not comfortably when using that particular chair, and one person even said he heard the chair "breath". I don't remember name's mangaka, but his style is very disturbing and crude, and this band have themes about dark poetry and eroticism, and the singer looks like a japanese writer or philosopher, so... you can suppose the rest.
That manga must be based on a novel written by Rampo Edogawa.
にんじんいすー!!いぇあ!!
The Human-Human
I don't know if I'm right, but it seems Japan has a very close minded atttitude regarding making their artists known out of Japan. I've come to known quite a few, mostly due to my love for anime and japanese culture in general, and Ningen Isu I just stumbled upon them a few days ago trough the youtube algorythm. It's such a shame that bands like this and others dont get more popular worldwide.
Interesting perspective
Great review.. & thanks for not talking over the entire song.
❤️❤️🙏🙏🤟🤟
Ningen Isu means Human Chair, from a super ducted up Japanese horror story (there's readings of a comic adaptation here on UA-cam).
actually it's from an old Allan Edgar Poe story... the japanese version is an adaptation of it
Scatman John ← American
love this band incredible! thanks great reaction video
❤️❤️🙏🙏😆😆
I know this band haha. But real legends are X-Japan but i like Galneryus more.
This band kicks ass dude I love the change into the heavy groove and the first guitar solo just fuckin rips dude. Kick ass reaction! \w/ Nothin like P90 pickups.
Jeff Meyers ❤️❤️🙏🙏🤟🤟
Thanks for the heart. I just finally picked up my bass and jammed this out just now. Totally satisfying. It may sound basic to some but it has a lot of complexity.
They rock period.
This is good stuff, nice one Ryan.
❤️❤️🙏🙏🤟🤟
Jimmy Page doesn't have much on that guy. Remarkable. Just discovered this group tonight when they appeared on my UA-cam recommendations. WOW!!!
big fan of that main riff.. traces of Negative Creep in there. huge sound for a three piece.. always love to hear that. guessing 'scat' was referring to the singing style.. with the shabadadio rurururu parts(twitch donation shenanigans anyone?).
i have no idea when this is from.. gotta be the 80's

The bass player reminds me of the dude from the movie"Plan 9 from Outer Space"
That was "Tor Johnson" if memory serves! LOL!! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tor_Johnson
@@markmark6378 Thanks brother. Would love to see them lay down a track for Godzilla.
human chair?
chairman?
やっぱ人参椅子になるのね。
Thanks for reacting, this is really the band the have a definite philosphy on what a song should sound like and they have stuck to that. A lot of what they do is based on literature and culture as elsewhere stated in the comments Namahage live is a great choice.
Others bands to listen to
Eruca Sativa from Argentina
Elephant Gym from Taiwan
Toyko Ska Paradise Orchestra
Show Ya Inori
ua-cam.com/video/TzReJH8pEMI/v-deo.html
Show Ya, Ryan would love with their heavy Rock influences up to the more metal feel later on. Hey any all female band that does covers, for AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, The Yardbirds and Deep Purple is just super in my book!!!!
@@jmetallover Awesome band, imagine a Show Ya, Ningen Isu show that would be something to behold
This kept showing up on my UA-cam feed but hadn’t clicked on it. Glad you reacted to it. It’s good. I’ll have to check out more of these guys. Also.... I’ve asked before but I know you get a ton of requests. But I really think you’ll enjoy this band from Taiwan. ua-cam.com/video/c2n7Ie_MqpA/v-deo.html
Ninjin Isu
THEY WERE EACH ONE BORN BETWEEN 1965 AND 66 ACCORDING TOO WIKIPEDIA!!!!!

I found your video as a suggestion of that other video ua-cam.com/video/zwlNBJZxNBk/v-deo.html :-D that was scary but very funny! hahahaha You make me understand why Heartless Scat of Ningen Isu showed up to me in the youtube searches. TKS!
Holy crap you did Ningen Isu!!! NIce!! Uncle Fester kicks major ASS!!! try their masterpiece Namahage.... ua-cam.com/video/CLoUY1kA4ZY/v-deo.html
Gostei muito ✌😉!
why do you film reaction videos if you don't react at all? ^^'
Would you rather I jump out of my chair and fake it like other reactors. I am the way I am. Some people like my subtle reactions. It’s ok if you don’t.
You look like Triple H.
Baptism by ningen isu is recommended.
日本語コメだけ主から無視されててつらたん…
It’s a band that is not famous in Japan
Unfortunately, even if I ask 10,000 people, only one person knows it.
I'm glad that people from overseas listen to it even if many Japanese don't know…
NI N GE N I SU is a heretic, unlike other Japanese musicians.
Most of Japanese songs are love songs.
However, this band deals with serious and important issues that other bands do not, such as the view of life, religion, morality, and life and death.
