Howdy. I’m actually just trying to change a bulb, not buy this product, but the video was presented fantastically. Thanks so much for the information 👍🏽
Hey there Cory, thanks for stopping by my man! The 2014 Jeep Cherokee headlight accomplishes this by activating an internal solenoid that moves a cut off shield inside the projector. When the shield is up, you get a low beam pattern with a cut-off line. When the shield is down and out of the way you get all the light and a wide flood high beam. This HID kit replaces your original halogen bulb with HID to get both high beam and low beam. Hope that answers your question! :)
So are these error free? Meaning that the CAN bus system does not indicate that you have a light out on the dash computer? Great video, thabk you! Also, can you please link this exact product the website is pretty confusing with a ton of options. Just want to make sure I get exactly what's in this video. Thank you!

It looks like the connector inside the light housing, that came from the OEM headlight, plugs into the black connector that you disassembled, which passes through the blue grommet back out to the ballast. Then the blue connectors from the ballast, outside the grommet, go back in to connect to the new HID bulb.
Mike Harris so basically the ballast is getting power from the original connection and not from the battery like others ballast do? There was a mid-year model change with 2016, possibly. Most part shops say it's a 9005 bulb, but mine is 100% a 9012 base.
