CHAMPIONS of EVERY level in Portugal | SC Olhanense 1912 Football Club

- Located in a small fishing town in the Algarve region of Portugal, SC Olhanense 1912 is rising from the ashes of a recent financial and sporting disaster. Currently, the club is playing in the fifth tier of Portugal football pyramid, miles away from the bright lights of the Primeira Liga.
To a club with immense history (it won the Portuguese title in 1924 and supplied more players to Portugal's first ever national team than any other club) and proud tradition, we have to ask two key questions:
How did the club get here?
And, more importantly, does the club have what it takes to rise again?

👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Please make a video about Portimonense Sporting Clube (in the 1st District Division), we have nothing to do with the team that plays in the Portuguese second league, in fact we have different managements...
The team in the 1st District Division belongs to the club and is loved by the fans, the team in the 2nd Portuguese League belongs to the SAD, which is nothing more than a company and is hated by the fans!
Wow this sounds like a very similar problem that Olhanense had. I would love to return to the Algarve someday and learn more about Portimonense Sporting Clube, as well. Thank you for watching, my friend.
What can I do to assist this club?
You cant
Hi Bradley, you can reach out via the clubs social media channels and get in contact with! Thanks for watching.
As much as Sporting try saying otherwise, Olhanense were never Portuguese champions. They won a Campeonato de Portugal title, a competition that was the predecessor to the Portuguese Cup. The Portuguese League began in 34/35.
Lyer! Campeonato de Portugal 1921 - 1938 it was the competition back then who define National Champion of Portugal ...
The Portuguese League start at 1938/39!
@@68guerreiro Not, it was not. Were the winners of the FA Cup considered English champions before the creation of the league? This was never a discussion until a few years ago, a former Sporting president, Bruno de Carvalho, decided to change history. No one, not even Sporting, Olhanense or Marítimo fans considered that winning the Campeonato de Portugal meant being national champions. You're calling me a liar? The whole thing was even voted just a couple of years ago in the Portuguese FA and the Campeonato de Portugal remained a separate competition, even thought it should've been added to the Portuguese Cup. And why am I saying this? Well, because official documents from the 30s said so, but people pretend they don't exist. Let me just quote those documents:
"Por virtude da reforma a que se procedeu no Estatuto e Regulamentos da Federação os Campeonatos das Ligas e de Portugal passaram a designar-se, respectivamente, Campeonatos Nacionais e Taça de Portugal. O Campeonato da 1ª Liga, passou a ser Campeonato Nacional 1ª Divisão, e o Campeonato da 2ª Liga obteve a designação de Campeonato Nacional da 2ª Divisão".
Who's lying now? Even the trophy of the Campeonato de Portugal and the Taça de Portugal are the same!!! The only reason why Sporting came up with this story was because Benfica was about to double their league titles. Currently, the 4th tier of Portugese football is called Campeonato de Portugal; does that mean that the winners are also national champions?
Benfica: 38
Porto: 30
Sporting: 20
Belenenses: 1
Boavista: 1

Be proud of your real history instead of having minority complexes.
@@ItsJustAka This bunch of phrases it's just rethoric! I remember when in the 90's benfica and porto cooked it!
The "Champions of Experimental" Portuguese League (benfica 3 and porto 1) beetween 1934 and 38 NEVER was recognized ... untill then.
It´s a fact! 20 years before BdC talk about it. And the referendum was one more farse. The corruption it's enought to Gave/give extra Titles to those 2 Mafia Style Organizations (FCP and SLB)!
And the fact FPF called Campeonato de Portugal to a 4th tier Competiotion it was to erase ... real one!
That is not truth. They made an experimental league to test a new league format. They made 4 different leagues regionally to determine the final teams to compete for the national championship in a knockout phase. Only when the experiment finished a few years later they adopted the league format to make the official national championship and the knockouts were left only for the portuguese cup. So why is a team that won a regional championship to qualify for knockouts be considered national champions? That makes it 4 national champions in one year. There are documents from that time stating clearly how the change happened and how many titles each team had, documents from the portuguese federation. Just long years after they decided to make new documents contradicting what they said before and no one ever questioned that again. Imagine your grandfather played at the time (for any team) and became national champion, after winning the knockout phase with the teams qualified from the regional championships (which at the time was what is considered national champion) to then 20 years later someone decide that actually since they had now a league phase, the national champions were the winners of the league phase as well and not the winners of the competition in itself. Its like in 10 years champions league becomes a league competition only and they consider previous champions the winners of the current league phase and not the ones who will the final.
From that very same perspective, then English champions only count from the time the Premier League was created
Portuguese translation is in Brazilian Portuguese.. :/
Fado is not a national thing, it's not common in Algarbe
@@gui18bif I’m sorry man, the program I use only had the Brazilian Portuguese option. Hope it was still worth watching. Thank you!
Poor and corrupt club. Portimonense and Farense bigger & better.
