If they were able to find bruises and stuff the kid would still be alive living his best life but no. I'm only shocked that he survived that long. Children deserve love compassion and be treated how you want to be treated in life. They are a gift from God. I to was abused from maybe 1 to 2 too was 15 when they finally throw me out into the streets with only the clothes on my back. I have 4 kids now on my own. I treat them like gold. You see I broke the chain of abuse for my children. My oldest is almost 21 and youngest is 14 years old and they are the best kids you could ever want. RIP little Colton.💌🙏

Even worse they took him outta the first burial place put him in the bed of the truck drove back to motel put Colton on the floor and went to sleep and then the following nite they drove him to the final grave. Whenever you contact your local CPS or supervisor's, they'll be angry and confrontational and have the excuse of "do you know how many cases I have? I don't have time for everyone!" Hence the unnecessary deaths of these innocent kids.

Even year's later and only just reading what happened to this sweet, innocent little boy, I will admit, I cried so much during this video 😭 I have a little boy named Colton, with the exact same spelling. He is 2 year's old and he is cared for and loved such a lot. Other than the occasional telling off, I would never dream of hurting him in anyway. It makes me sad when I say 'no' to him and majority of the time after having told him off, I hug him because I feel guilty. I believe that in order for a person to hurt such a small defenseless little being, has absolutely no conscious at all and most importantly isn't in their right mind. Surely a person must have a serious mental health issue to hurt a child, which therefore means people who do shouldn't have children just for them to be brought into this world to have an abusive childhood because truthfully, no child asks to be born.
moral of the story is, don't have a child if you do drugs and have mental issues, i knew someone who used to be a friend and went completely crazy, she endangered her children, animals, and herself, and would say and do absolutely crazy uncalled for things, she was on meth and schizophrenic, luckily me and some friends of mine were able to rescue her animals and her kids, and they all now are happy and safe, and don't see her anymore at all

If you are given a job to protect children then do it! If one case worker would have cared enough to do their job correctly this child would still be here. Do not make just one phone call. Make many, hound the authorities until you know the child is safe, please get involved.

CPS caseworkers are so casual in their attitude towards children. Time and time again they get anonymous tips about the abuse, but they still do nothing! Unbelievable! And the parents, physically torture the child, and kill him, and they both get away with a tap on the wrist. Feel so sick, where is the justice!
My youngest is a 2yr old. He will be 3 in August. I cannot stand to even see my children sad let alone imagine what kind of person it takes to cause harm to your own babies. The part that made me cry the most was when they stated that she threw him out of the truck crying and he reached for his mommy. That poor baby. Reaching out for love and comfort from the one person who should be giving it without hesitation. Only for her to kill and just bury him in some shallow grave and go on about her life like she didnt just lose her baby. Things like this have been happening forever. It never gets any easier to hear about them. This little boy never knew or had a chance at a life. He never knew unconditional love or the feeling of being safe.. So many things he missed out on because his mother was a piece of shit. I truly believe that people should have to take some sort of test, or have a mental evaluation on their ability to care for a child before having one.

This is nation wide. I caught a child neglect charge when I didn't have custody or guardianship of my daughter. Dfs didn't even speak to me, just charged me. I found out years later.

I was severely abused as a child. I was even abused into my late teens. It is dreadful! My heart aches for these poor abused and neglected children.

There are so many avenues to give your child up if your destructive way of life is more important to you than your child’s safety and life. I just don’t understand that type of evil selfishness. I can't explain the pain I get in my heart and the sickness in my stomach. That poor sweet boy was failed by so many. And the sad thing is this kind of thing is still happening to many babies and children 💔 something needs to change. I just held my 4 year old boy so tight and told him how much I love him. Its great there were people looking out for Colton and reporting to authorities whenever they thought was necessary... But so fucking disappointing it all landed on deaf ears. The system is fucked! Always failing vulnerable children.

CPS was notified HOW MANY TIMES, and not once did they do an in depth investigation. They didn't even follow the safety plan that they had made....USELESS. That poor baby didn't even have a chance. They failed him.

I have 3 VERY stressful children. 12girl, 7girl and 21month boy... I cry watching these videos.. my kids night be a pain in the tush, but how could you ever take the life of the thing you gave life to? This poor child only knew pain. He and EVERY OTHER poor baby who lost their lives to someone who just couldn't control themselves is sickening.. these babys don't know any better,its soooo sad.
All those caseworkers did was go through the motions and this precious, beautiful, baby boy, Colton, suffered terribly because of it. I know that beautiful baby boy is In the Arms of Jesus he will never hurt again he will never cry again he will run and play and laugh and be happy and Jesus will love him more than anybody ever could. Even year's later and only just reading what happened to this sweet, innocent little boy, I will admit, I cried so much during this video 😭 I have a little boy named Colton, with the exact same spelling. He is 2 year's old and he is cared for and loved such a lot. Other than the occasional telling off, I would never dream of hurting him in anyway. It makes me sad when I say 'no' to him and majority of the time after having told him off, I hug him because I feel guilty. I believe that in order for a person to hurt such a small defenseless little being, has absolutely no conscious at all and most importantly isn't in their right mind. Surely a person must have a serious mental health issue to hurt a child, which therefore means people who do shouldn't have children just for them to be brought into this world to have an abusive childhood because truthfully, no child asks to be born.

moral of the story is, don't have a child if you do drugs and have mental issues, i knew someone who used to be a friend and went completely crazy, she endangered her children, animals, and herself, and would say and do absolutely crazy uncalled for things, she was on meth and schizophrenic, luckily me and some friends of mine were able to rescue her animals and her kids, and they all now are happy and safe, and don't see her anymore at all

If you are given a job to protect children then do it! If one case worker would have cared enough to do their job correctly this child would still be here. Do not take a job of this importance if you are not willing to give it 150%. The torture this poor boy had to go through because so many people let him down. People if you see something get involved. Do not make just one phone call. Make many, hound the authorities until you know the child is safe, please get involved.

I want to work for child protection services to help seek justice for kids that cannot speak for themselves. This made me cry. I was an abused child growing up so I feel for these little angels. I have no kids and wish I could adopt or something.

CPS caseworkers are so casual in their attitude towards children. Time and time again they get anonymous tips about the abuse, but they still do nothing! Unbelievable! And the parents, physically torture the child, and kill him, and they both get away with a tap on the wrist. Feel so sick, where is the justice!

My youngest is a 2yr old. He will be 3 in August. I cannot stand to even see my children sad let alone imagine what kind of person it takes to cause harm to your own babies. The part that made me cry the most was when they stated that she threw him out of the truck crying and he reached for his mommy. That poor baby. Reaching out for love and comfort from the one person who should be giving it without hesitation. Only for her to kill and just bury him in some shallow grave and go on about her life like she didnt just lose her baby. Things like this have been happening forever. It never gets any easier to hear about them. This little boy never knew or had a chance at a life. He never knew unconditional love or the feeling of being safe.. So many things he missed out on because his mother was a piece of shit.
I truly believe that people should have to take some sort of test, or have a mental evaluation on their ability to care for a child before having one.

This is nation wide. I caught a child neglect charge when I didn't have custody or guardianship of my daughter. Dfs didn't even speak to me, just charged me. I found out years later.
I understand holding the mom and boyfriend accountable, but who can we call when CPS and the police won’t help? There are too many times the police should be held accountable and they’re not. Police can break the law and are protected by other shady police.
