A7 is the type of thinking that made Deep Mind choose Lee Sedol to test out Alphago for the first time. Of all the 9P's they could have selected, they picked Lee Sedol due to his off-the-charts creative genius. Nobody plays like that! Even Ke Jie had to change his playing style to something similar in order to compete with Alphago.
A7 blew my mind out of my skull. Lee Sedol was not from this planet. Who the heck sees that? WOW!!!! If I'm Cho Chikun, I'd throw up my hands too. He must have realized that there was no time in his life that he had ever played like that. It's like Larry Bird meeting Michael Jordan for the first time.
25:30 I can imagine Cho Chikun putting his hands up just like that! XD Also, thanks for all the videos! You present high quality content at a good pace and with captivating enthusiasm. :-)
wonderful enthusiasm and great English as well. better than most people who speak English first. Lee Sedol 9P is such a genius and Cho 9P as well. Your commentary is really good to explain to complete beginners like me, as well as high level insights. You present so many real insights. Maybe you are a genius as well???
New subscriber. I started watching your games you play, then found this gem. Thank you for your channel, it's an immense resource. Your explanations are very clear, and your games are fun to watch. If you ever want to do a video where you beat up on a lower level player and show them some things, I am 6d on foxy, and I volunteer!!! 🙂
I enjoyed it a lot, thanks for showing this game. I wonder if AI finds A7. Actually I think I'll run this through AI to see what it "thinks" about all of Lee's left-side invasion moves....
@@BadukDoctor I "found" A7 as well but only because all normal moves were already showed to be not working so I was just trying some really weird looking moves. You could have told us to stop video earlier to have a really hard tsumego and to stop after your explanation to still have a difficult tsumego :D But a great video about a great move nonetheless!
I really like learning by watching games played by the best in the world. I understood most of your explanation as well but I don’t fully understand seki or ko quite yet. I’ll have to study those more to comprehend these huge matches fully, but I still enjoy these videos immensely. Thanks
Cho Chikun is a mood
Absolutely brilliant! The amazing find of Lee Sedol was so... amazing! What a legend. And thank you for explaining with such passion!
You are welcome ^^

I found this move! But only because I remembered when we discussed it 15 years ago at the go club...

I tried an old version of katago and it doesn't find the move. Understand right away when you play it but can't find it.
Yes for Leela Zero
@@Al3ph8 My version of KataGo finds the move right away as the only option
Thank you very much for such an amazing video!
Found A7!
It’s a tesuji that a Dan player might find if they know that this is a Go problem, but I would 100% fail to find it in a real game.
If you could find it before watching the answer, that is already a good start ^^
