QLED has dual back lights to help out with the colors and brightness that’s need on HDR content. Keep in mouth at 1000 nits is standard and even the OLED in this range will not touch that but it will be better than most.

Interestingly the warmer looking TV is what most film industries/artists intend their films to be viewed in. Colour and white levels are more accurate with a warmer panel. Most OLED and QLED TVs often have recommendation to change colour tones to warm or expert (even more warm). Dolby vision presets for example always gives the picture a warmer tone, you'll realize it makes the film more life like rather than artificially pretty.

@Rob The side-by-side images in Tech Steve's video, plus his comment multiple times that if you have the money the q60a is the better set. The comments about the brightness and trueness of color. The q60a also has some more advanced features on the interface. I also thought about it this way: a TV lasts 10 years, and you watch it on average 3 hours a day (your mileage may differ) that's about 11,000 hours of total viewing time. So the $280 is an additional $28 per year, or about 2.5 cents per viewing hour. Adding all that up it seemed worth it to me to play it safe and just shell out a few more bucks.

TV used for entertainment only and I use a Amazon Fire Stick 4K plus in preference to tv apps. Linked up to a Yamaha sound bar with additional sub woofer. Set up suits and is %100 better than my old Samsung tv which I have had for over 10 years. Hopefully this one will last as long.

I bought a LG nanocell 90 86” A week ago after I saw the comparison of both TVs I decide to go for the Samsung so I’m going to take it back and change it for the Samsung Q60a 85”. I like more brightness and Samsung does in all the TV screen and it has better colors Even if I have to pay more I’ll go for the Samsung I hope I don’t have any problem to make an exchange at Best Buy.

I think they are both really good for their price points. The Q60A looks amazing, but I wouldn't feel short changed on a AU8000 if I didn't have the funds to spend more.
We brought the AU9000 for the lounge last week, it's clearly a very capable TV, but we didn't mind sacrificing the extras, as it's generally used for the kids playing Xbox Series S or 360 or for light entertainment. The home office/game room has a QN95 on the wall along with PS5 and Xbox Series X which we really wanted the extra function such as VRR and 120HZ. Overall, there's no regrets from us, just depends on your budget and what you are willing to pay. Good video Steve, thank you!

While the Q60A looks better than the AU8000, it is a less significant step-up in visual compared to going from TU8000 to AU8000, IMO. For the basic user, the AU8000 looks to be the best value entry-level TV. Everything else above it looks to be paying a lot more for a bit more improvement in visuals.

Hi Tech Steve. To have to start doing reviews on larger screens not these smaller screens. Because of you I purchased the 65in Q60A and happy with it. Then I went out to get the 75 inch Q60A and it was so bad I packed it up and rook it back to the screen. There was such a noticable difference is n picture quality from the 65 to 75 it was not the same TV. The smaller the better the picture. You have to do 55 and above. Not these little TVs with a perfect picture.
