Alex's comments were spot on, when some regulars return so will the improved play. Having said that they should have won this game.

I must have seen a different 1st half v Germany? I thought the US looked terrible! They did have chances that didn't finish, but their time on the ball and loss of possession was incredibly bad. Am I missing it here!?
Dunn is a great player but she was away from soccer for such a long time and they need to ease her back in against less dominant teams. The Huerta/Cook side of the defense is an absolute joke and Girma was the only one I trusted back there. Cook just isn't cut out for this level of soccer and I'm really not sure how the heck Huerta keeps making this roster. Morgan was basically playing as a 4th midfielder because the other 3 can't consistently distribute the ball to Smith and Pugh. I think Morgan, Rose, Girma, and Horan all had a decent game. I feel bad for them because the other players are barely making an effort.
If this team wants to do better and win, the coach needs to leave all the veterans on the field full time unless they're injured. In this sport, first thing you wanna do is put all your best players in. There's no other way around that.
One, this is a friendly. Two, teams around the world are getting better technically than the Americans. You're going to see what happened in the last Olympics again if they put the veterans in.
On the first German goal my team just didn't get back, including the forwards. This is not a jog, it's a sprint. Let's go y'all!

Let's face it ever since they brought in this coach the team has been able to beat the seriously unranked teams but have not even competed against the ranked teams. The quality of the players is great the coaching method is wrong. It treats them like robots and they aren't. Our soccer players are good on their feet they think on their feet and this guy doesn't understand that

She's afraid to criticize (keeps apologizing for asking questions) because of her friends including Morgan, Rapinoe, Parlow, Markgraf etc. Good player but her jovial carefree analysis makes me turn off the volume

You think the way our defense played on Thursday we can hold Germany to one goal? Vkatko needs to stop putting Dunn out there she is not fit The whole side of Huerta and cook is also a problem. To add to this the midfield will continue to be an issue if it was not for Morgan dropping deeper into the midfield you would not see the kind of connection made by Alex

@@Why0825 Yes I agree about Roses game but on defensive side of that midfield group, we were unable to slow down Germany. On the offensive side there was a lack of ball possession, control and connection with the forwards. Until that problem is resolved we will continue to see the same problem over and over. As good as rose was in the attacking third the middle of that field is still an unresolved problem/issue that needs to be addressed before the World Cup sooner that later
Heading into the future Canada's women's team is way better than the USWNT.
