Wow, I loved this video. So glad you don't put loud music over the ambient noise in your videos, it makes them so much better! I can't wait to come to Koh Phangan!
Absolutely self-torture😄 i got my diving licens at Haad Yao divers 20 years ago, and miss the place like nothing else. Promice to my self, get back there A.S.A.P.🌴 Needless to say, another outstanding video from your hand. Keep them comming.🏝
We actually stayed in SeeTanu bungalows for 10 days recently loved walking that beach every morning at 7am with my dog. We loved all the restaurants in Hin Kong became our fav place to dine. Will be back next month to pay a few bills so looking forward to it.
Another great vid. Your vids have helped me get through a brutal winter of almost continuous -30 -40 temperatures with no end in site. It's what happens when you live in the middle of Canada [ Manitoba ] and your north of the 53 parallel. Your scenes of the beaches are just torture and would give anything to spend some time on them. That being said, the last time I was at the beach a couple of guys from Greenpeace kept rolling me back in the water every time I tried to get back on land again. I blame David Suzuki.
Really loved this video. This was one of the last places I visited before I left Thailand for covid. Miss the sandbar during the sunset. As always really appreciate the content
Another great video, thanks for the virtual visits whilst we have been deprived of our favourite place. Thai pass approved, KPG here we come in March 💗.
I just love your videos! I’m flying in 12 days to Thailand and will be in Phangan a couple of weeks later! So excited! Your videos have played a huge part of helping me find new places on the island even though I’ve been lots of times before. I’m definitely going to check out High life, I normally stay in Seaboard. Also I’ve never been to Alcove so looked it up after seeing this and they have rooms so I may stay there for a couple of nights too! Have you been to Seaflower Bungalows or that area? I’m wondering what’s it like right now. I’m on my own so I don’t want places too secluded.
Thanks. Keep meaning to stay at Seaflower Bungalows. Fantastic location right in the middle of the beach and surrounded by beautiful foiliage. Their aptly named beach bar/cafe 'Heaven' has reopened and was lively when I was there recently. They also do fitness on their beachfront deck each morning too, just join in. Haad Chao Pao is still my fav beach to stay at as it just has nice vibe plus walk to the village and many shops, cafes, etc around. Maybe stay a night in each place then decide which one for longer? I've island hopped already but hear KPG, particularly Sri Thanu still has flip-flops on the ground so you won't be lonely. Have a wonderful trip:) STL
Hi sidetriplife I went lamai in 86.was paradise then never been koh phangan looks a great spot.back next month will give it a try thanks for your info amigo
Stayed at Haad Yao for a month over New Years 2000. Was an unsealed road to get there then and the lights would dim when the restaurant blender was going (generator). Had a hut right on the beach at Silver Beach, which has been totally redone by the look of it on Google. Our thatched roof got blown off in the night & my girlfriend got electrocuted from the lightswitch. Arrrgh, those were the days lol
Besides the usual Yoga places didn't notice any real gyms in Haad Yao (but that row of shops by Bubbas's Coffee and Locco's Pizza would be a good place for one). Just over the hill in Sri Thanu Evolve is a great gym, decent day rates too. Along Hin Kong there's a new Martial Arts Academy that looks quite good too.
Nice video!! I think dogs name was Shiva. Its a hindu god.Famous dog name on the island.I rescued my Shiva a while ago.Brought her in Europe and now counting the days to return back for good. You make it easier with your vids.
Stayed at Haad Yao in the early 90s. It was much nicer then. Just cheap bungalows, not many people, more boho types. Great times. The road from Thongsala was a very bumpy dirt and mud affair, sat in the back of a pickup truck
Two words ,,,, extremely jealous. Living the life man . Damm this Covid crap two years have gone by and still no international flights happening in Vietnam. I can’t really moan I could be in the UK . Great vid take care .
I know Thailand is reporting a fraction of the pre-covid tourist numbers, but wow it looks pretty crowded to me. Any more than that and I don’t think I’d be comfortable.
Been there twice. First time it was a paradise, and second time it looked like a rubbish yard, full of plastic bottels and flip-flops.😪 But i think it was due to weather conditions however. A strong wind pushing things on the beach.
Thank you for your wonderful adventures and insight I'm moving permenantly back to Thailand after losing all my businesses in Jomtien in the JOKVID This time I'm wanting to live on one of the Islands either KOH CHANG KOH TOA or KOH PANGHAN just after your opinion on what you think is best in your humble opinion plz I'm looking for cheap n cheerful near or on beach in a bungalow preferably with a pool ( for Excercising) looking at going around October November time I have online businesses these days not worth investing in Thailand these days is it.. Right
There's a few and a couple great ones. Muay Thai - Martial Art Academy in Hin Kong. For A/C + all the machines The Podium in Thong Sala (not my bag) and basic but 'just right' is The Press up Chalokulm way (probably the best & chillest out of the way village to stay too).
