I am pretty sure it's not the fact that some of us older fans miss the LD50 style, the whole reason I got into Mudvayne besides it fitting right into my aggressive need for some music with it's strong riffs/vocals was the fact that Ryan did things with his bass I never heard before that made me go "THAT'S THE BASS!?!?!" I miss that, I like their new stuff put it pales in comparison because each instrument was so unique before, they sound generic now.

MudVayne never ceases to amaze me with the dramatic differences between albums, keeps the fans guessing. But i love the raw FUCK U sound of LD50, this album is supposed to sound pretty close to it. I can't wait till it comes out! I have always loved MV and always will as long as they keep thrashin!
i like the style that the music has gone on this single, but i would have liked it more if Chad did more with the harmonies and the lyrics like on their first two albums. its kind of a mixture between their heavier side and their newer more mainstream sound. I like what im hearing though, I can't wait for the new new album!!

The music "sounds angry and twisted on L.D. 50 which is harder to sell. Although the older fans such as myself love it, with the fall of cd sales its easier for them to get radio play and grow a wider audience by creating a catchy sound. That doesnt mean theyve sold out, as you can still tell from their sound, its just that today's modern heavy music has heavy verses and more melodic chorus's and They're trying to incorporate that old sound while maintaining the newer sound of mainstream metal
