    when color correcting, you have to use the color opposite on the color wheel, obviously. the trick is to make sure the tone matches. light colors for other light colors, dark for dark. in this situation, a light pink should've done the job. in terms of fixing it, uh, good luck

    The color remover method I swear by is 20 vol. developer, bleach powder (the ratios depend on how much product I need to use), a couple squirts of clarifying shampoo, and 2 tbsp. of water. Mix it all together and let it process on your head for 30 minutes with a cap on, I put this on my ends to strip the color and then apply bleach to my roots since natural hair processes bleach quicker. Then I wash out with purple shampoo and condition if you're not going in with semi permanent dye the same day. I'm not a hairdresser but this is how I got the green out of my hair in one go. I love the color green on hair but damn if it ain't a commitment. Sorry for your struggle, I've been there before as well and it was miserable.
    I hope this helps, love you and your videos!!

    Lindy, after many attempts to remove the green / blue from my hair, I have experimented with a new method that I have never seen on youtube: I combine the bleaching powder with the classic shampoo (no oxygen), in equal parts, and then I apply it on the green parts. I let it stay for 40 minutes and in the final 10 minutes I heat it up a little with the hairdryer. The color will initially look like it is still on your hair, but when you rinse it off, it will go away. Seeing is believing. Ps. I'm sorry for my bad English, but I'm Italian.

    I just removed lime green from my hair yesterday!! used bleach powder, 30% developer(didn't have other), almost the same amount of conditioner (and a few drops of water idk why I thought it might help everything to mix together) whitest hair I have ever gotten after removing color

    Next time try L’Oréal effalsol colour remover, it’s one of the only ones I’ve used that removes blue/green!

    when you said "I feel like all I've been doing for the past 3 years is growing out a buzz cut" I FELT THAT. I've had a pixie cut for 2 years and every time it's started to grow out and I've been committed to growing it out I've caved and cut it again bc I'm scared of it being an awkward length 😬

    When I was trying to bleach out faded crazy colour black it turned the colour you had in the beginning. I had no patience for colour theory and zero restraint… I bleached again… with 40 vol… for 45 mins 🥴 needless to say, it turned to mushy gum 3 inches from the root. Had to get it chopped off and dyed it brown! 😂 well done for trying this!

    Honestly your best bet is to put a bright ass pink or red colour on it, I did that before and it did cancel put the green so when the colour washed out eventually it did go back to blonde I did use colour drops you put into conditioner to male the hair dye when I did it as that seems to wash out a little faster than hair dye which works for me as I get bored of my hair after a month and feel the need to do something to it

    Well it does work..red to correct the green...brown/grey...that is how it works...it is not going to be white, unfortunately doing alone color correction is almost impossible, someone has to do it, someone that see where to put the color and how much..and when to stop....I think the question is, what color you want to get?

    you should bleach your roots at the end, roots are closer to your scalp ofc and the heat of it makes it develop faster so they will be REALLLY bleached and yellow if u do them first xx

    You can always try a semi permanent box color dark blonde or light brown. Might work. I have a similar situation on my head at the moment and I’m considering putting copper on it.

      I did that a year and a half ago simply just because my hair was so split and damaged back there and I got a cut bob going on back there now 😂 mine grew back pretty quick I'd say. In that time it's grown maybe 13/14 inches

    I think if you put a blonde toner in it will actually look okay. It won't be even but you can think of the different muted colours as like a pastel holo thing maybe. My hairdresser used an ash purple blonde toner on my hair when I had an unremovable green-blue tint (Londa 12/96) so maybe that would also work for you.

    Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t you supposed to apply the bleach on the ends first and then the roots, because the roots lift colour way faster than the saturated ends?

    • @erinmullen2397
      @erinmullen2397 2 роки тому +1

      It depends on what you're working with. If you have a dark color on the ends then you do them first, but if they've already been pre-lightened then you're supposed to do it last since it's already been bleached and the semi permanent color should remove faster. Just depends

    Use purple shampoo on your whole hair and see what happens, it should at least even it out.
    You could also try a demi colour. Wella color rouch 9/96 (mixing with max. 1,9% H2O2) is a silvery blonde with a pink undertone, it could help even your hair out, 9/86 could work as well, but it won't be uniform, let's be realistic. :D Let that wash out for a bit and see how your hair is reacting to the left pigment

    • @Terraxoxo
      @Terraxoxo 2 роки тому +11

      Purple shampoo can’t just “even it out.” The purple shampoo molecules don’t go to every individual hair strand and decide how much it needs, it just goes wherever it’s placed.

      @@Terraxoxo Of course it won't make it even, I even said that if you read the whole comment. What I meant by saying "even it out" is the fact that she has yellow roots, pinkish/purple-ish spots and spots which are still green. Cooling everything down with purple shampoo would make it look more harmonic as she's left with silver/white/blue/purple streaks rather than clashing colours. So excuse my wording, what I meant was a more harmonic end result rather than a whole mess on her head :D

      @@AnotherOpinion1997 Then you completely contradicted yourself and obviously don’t really know how to word what you’re talking about, so you really shouldn’t have given your opinion or “advice” at all.
