JAECOO J7 & JAECOO J8 [Walkaround Preview] - Another Luxury Off-Road SUV from China, by Chery

- Jaecoo Malaysia introduced its first model for the Malaysian market, the Jaecoo J7, set to launch in Q2 2024. Positioned as a premium off-roader with all-wheel drive and seven terrain modes. It is powered by a 1.6L turbocharged inline-four petrol engine and seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, delivering 197 PS and 290 Nm torque.
The J7 is sized similarly to a Toyota Corolla Cross, featuring 200 mm ground clearance, 600 mm wading depth, and practical towing and roof load capacities. Notable features include 19-inch alloy wheels, LED lighting, leather seats, ambient lighting, a head-up display, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 14.8-inch touchscreen, an air-cooled wireless charger, and safety systems encompassing 21 intelligent driving functions.
Pricing details are pending, but it's expected to be comparable to the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro, and J7 units will be locally assembled.

Air Cooled wireless charger! That is something all car manufacturers should take note. Which is true phones tend to get hot when charging via wired or wireless, especially in our weather 🌞 Many drivers put their phone at the air-cond vent, even me 😆 to keep the phone cool. I like that feature 👍🏻

This J7 looks rugged while tiggo 8 pro is styled towards elegant. Also it looks bigger than Corolla Cross from the outside, maybe due to the boxy design compared to the curvy toyota. They took inspiration from Continental cars but improves it now unlike over a decade ago where they just copy and paste. Nice!

I come from Wuhu China , the site of Chery Company. Jaecoo9 is quite similar as Tiggo 9 in China, with a 2.0l turbo engine, 260 Hp and 400 N.M. Anyway I would recommend their CDM (hybrid) version, Jaecoo7 with its CDM hybrid-engine can run 1300 + km with the same one -tank gasoline . Actually some vloggers tested a similar SUV Fulwin T9 , it ran 1800+km with one tank (67-litter )gasoline .
I love the 7 seater with the more powerful engine.This car is absolutely gorgeous inside and out.The Cherry company build very reliable cars .I want one and I'm going to get it thank you very much!

It's a trend, in the future there might be more big screen in the car. We have to learn to appreciate it
@@YSKhongDriving Understandable. Like the J8’s screen I’m completely fine with, similar to the benz gla, but J7 feels like way too big. As I watched the video it seems really bright with the massive screen and its light shinning on your face.. I think the brightness should be lower, which I think is possible. I test drove the new c200, it had similar screen but lowered positioned, and it wasn’t as bad

Continuous four-wheel drive makes cars heavy in cities... The solution is optional four-wheel drive when needed... The more the range of the fuel tank is useful for travel and trips, the better the sales... for example, the range is 1500 km per fill-up.
Actually there is no point in lugging all that extra fuel around. We are in the 21st century after all.
