Unemployment takes about the time if you applied during the last 12 months.🤷so I guess she was one of the 1 million who actually try to pay her rent! You still got a homeless situation. But they are going to give them vouchers to stay in hotels. So we taxpayers are paying for the breakdown anyway why not turn into a win,win for both sides. Ui was not a guarantee. Cut it off. Now look what happened. If they camped out in your area
Renters who paid the landlords are due credit. Renters that did not pay landlords deserve no more government assistance period.
You know I think people should start going to work
This has been a wake up call to many landlords and I'm sure many of them are going to get out of the rental business. They never expected that a renter could just stop paying and that their hands would be tied to evict them. Landlords have been paying property taxes, mortgages, property insurance, water and sewer fees in many places and have been expected to maintain these properties. The states just sitting on the money that was supposed to go to landlords is obscene!
@MANSQUITO Without landlords how would people rent houses or apartments? Many can't afford to purchase a home and many elderly don't want to deal with the maintenance and up keep of a home any longer.

As a landlady my livelihood is dependent on the rent . I don’t understand why tenants don’t grasp that .. You wouldn’t go into a supermarket and walk out with a shopping trolley full of food. Why do it to us ? Most tenants can afford make up , weaves , extensions, fake nails , clothes , McDonald’s but won’t pay rent ...
They took it as xmas. It will be hard to get that money to land lord's because most of these people's incomes actually went up. They just decided screw you because they think they are entitled to free housing.

i mean its always the tenants point of views. How about the small landlords? Property tax, insurance, repairs, maintence all had to be done during the pandemic. Landlords are just now being able to get their property back. Landlords aren't going to get the back rent.

I have been without four walls, and I managed. People say poor resident poor resident, but they don't care that not all landlords are super rich and have the money to just let people stay for free. Thanks to government intrusion into housing, all these laws that are supposedly to protect residents just makes it more expensive for the landlords and harder for residents to get housing. That said I also am a landlord now that understands that I made sacrifices... in lost family time double shifts, saving and working side jobs to aquire my home. Stop spending! So much

Kistner for Congress
Fellow American,
When I think back on the past tumultuous year, I remember how:
Our city burned.
Our families were scared, even in their own homes.
Violent crime surged across our communities.
When our country needed real leadership, we were failed.
So, when my second child was born and I looked into his big curious eyes, I knew I had to run for Congress because our families deserve so much better than a state ran by radical liberals who want to defund our police, open our borders, and destroy the foundation our country was built on.
If we haven’t met yet, I’m Tyler Kistner. A proud father of two, husband, and Marine Raider Veteran. I would do anything for my children, my family, and my country.
My 'why'
But right now, our nation is experiencing the early stages of tyranny. We are facing an oppressive government who wants to strip us of our rights, ruin our economy, and rob our children of their future - their birthrights as Americans.
SEND IN THE MARINE ➞
My children deserve a shot at the America dream, and so do yours. But the path we are on right now, is horrifying.
I served nine years in the U.S. Marine Corps, for five of those years I served in the elite Marine Special Operation Forces - the Marine Raiders. I took an oath to defend our Constitution, and my oath to this country will never expire. I want to fix the broken system in Washington, so we have a country we are proud to leave for our next generation and that’s what I plan to do in Congress.
When I ran last year, we had one of the closest races in the country. I fell short by less than 10,000 votes. But this year, all eyes are on this seat. It’s one of the top races in the country because Republicans only need to net FIVE seats to regain our majority and take the country back from the intolerant and radical Left.
I’m running for Congress in Minnesota’s 2nd district because the current 'leaders' have sold out our children’s future to the radicals who wish to destroy the American dream. I will not sit idly by as radical tyrants wreck our country. Together, we can restore and preserve the country we love. Will you join me?
Let’s take our country back.
In Service,
Tyler Kistner
