She's standing on a floating ice platform, not moving around with her own feet.
I mean Iceman exist (first and waay cooler, oh pun) but well, representation..
I kept trying to figure out why she kept saying: “I suck” but apparently she’s saying “ice up”
Some of the lines they gave their voice actors are a bit clunky, but the game overall looks very pretty. I don’t think it would replace overwatch for me, but I would give it a try.

i do think some of the voice acting is bad, but it was pretty obvious to me that shes saying ice up. think its just personal perspective

@@mekhayla I feel you Mekhayla. I don't usually look for flaws either. There are a few lines in Overwatch that took me off guard an required a relisten.
Once you do it's like "oh yeh that makes more sense", the phrase "I suck" is just more "normal" than "Ice up" so my ears needed a 2nd...and maybe 3rd pass ;)

Honestly whats stunning me maybe the most here is the VA, so many people I know, a lot of them from marvel heroes (although some of them are playing different heroes now if I recall correctly). It's awesome, makes me happy

Same. Personally I was hoping for a game like Paladins, but without the PS2 graphics. But Marvel Rivals might make for a nice change of pace too.
is the gameplay tighter than paladins? i just tried paladins cause I was bored and shooting/hitting stuff there doesn't feel right
Ppl say OW can’t be played in 3rd person… clearly it would be awesome to have this option
This is pretty much everything I have ever wanted in a support character and she is so ridiculously overpowered too, the massive range of her healing, how strong it is, the fact it damages enemies too, the self sustain, harmony orb that makes sure your tank is always healed and a freeze that didnt look like it had a cooldown? There's no way they let her stay this strong for the main release.

I think you should be able to switch to first person if you want
They NEED to put the Dr strange portal in overwatch it's too cool for them not to use it. Maybe make it an ult
They did, it’s was used by Symmetra until they changed it for being easily abused.
They changed her kit more than any other character.
Symmetra teleport used to work similarly like that. Not exactly the same tho, but people dont even use it anyway
@@mangasaint Eh, Symms teleporter never really worked like that. Dr. Stranges is a lot more fluid in how you can place it and the whole ability to shoot through the portal is incredibly different.

Yeah I’ve seen other creators playing in control. The only thing that I noticed about controller controls that concerns me is clicking both sticks to ultimate

The best healer in the game
I've never heard of Luna but that's because she first appeared in a Marvel game and they haven't really done much to tell peoplethat she exists. Apparently she has some interesting lore and she's a K-Pop idle, which I wouldn't have ever thought of a K-Pop idle being a hero.
She's an awesome character. I highly recommend reading her origin story (part of a tie-in series called Future Fight Firsts). I absolutely loved it.

Why can't ow be 3rd person perspective
When Hela goes Ults can Doctor Strange put his portal in front of her redirecting/blocking her shots? Like she seems kinda restricted in her view and if he just changes her view to an area where no one is... It makes him vulnerable while he sets up the portal but I find it funny.
You could but you're just going to die while youre casting and setting it up. In practice it's only real use in an average match is to be like a 15 sec duration symm tele back from respawn (as the camera moves faster than dr strange himself does, so its a faster return to fight)
Instead, strange can just fly up to her and shield the damage (it will break though especially if the shield wasn't full hp)

I feel like people are too easily fooled by the Marvel effect and having something that's slightly different to OW.
Let's not forget this is NetEase publishing the game.
You know, the company behind Diablo Immortal which allowed a player to spend $100,000 real dollars in game to power up his character and made him stronger than anyone else. So strong that he basically locked himself out of PVP because the game couldn't match him with anyone with equal power.
I know they said the game wasn't going to be pay to win, but I don't believe that for a second. The ALPHA isn't pay to win, the full release is 100% gonna have EXP boosters, probably some "gadgets" that give small bonuses or effects in game, skins that are gonna cost $40, a gacha and you'll probably have to purchase every new hero.
And if we're looking at gameplay, again, I think people are more just infatuated with something new, I'm tired of watching people play the game after 2 hours, actually playing the game myself? I feel like this is a week of "okay" fun at most. Game supposedly releasing sometime in 2025, I promise you no one will be playing it in 2026 and I'd be willing to bet no one will be playing it once it launches. This just has the same vibe and energy that every game like it has had and failed. Storm Strike, Farlight 84, that one anime game that was literally overwatch but anime. Also NetEase, NetEase shuts down any game that isn't immediately making them money.
(also I heard this was originally going to be Overwatch mobile game but that project got shutdown when NetEase and Blizzard had a falling out over WoW in China, so they reskinned it to Marvel and put it in 3rd person (because people want to see the skins they buy), which is why so many heroes kits just feel like they're ripped straight from OW, Hulk is literally DVA Winston, Scarlet Witch is just Ekko Moira with DVA Bomb, Spiderman is DPS Doomfist and if Starlord isn't just straight up flying Solider with a Reaper ult button and Tracer pistols, then I don't know what is. But, I don't know how true these rumors are, but it does seem likely.)

Feel like this game is just way too late, OW came out and defined hero shooter's,apex made a BR team shooter and did a really good job.

i hate the third person, could not get used to it. feel like they only did it so they wont be called too much of an overwatch clone.
I don’t necessarily agree. I think that there’s a lot of abilities in game which would be absolutely jarring to try and maneuver in first person. Spider-Man’s web swinging is already hard to get control of, characters with melee AOE’s like Magik also would be a little harder because you couldn’t account for what’s to the left and right of you. Not to mention the main appeal of this game is that it’s Marvel, and if I’m playing my favorite hero I want to see them do cool stuff, which you only get a tiny glimpse of in first person.

As to spider man, how does tracer know how not to blink into a wall without 3rd person? Exactly, skill.
As to watching your character do cool things, that will get dull in a week. So that's just a ludicrous reason.
The main problem with 3rd person pvp shooters is that it rewards passivity. Team that sits behind cover and preaims the heads of a pushing team will win every single time.
Game is new, no one knows what they're doing, but they'll figure it out pretty quickly and start abusing the 3rd person and game will turn into the most boring camp fest ever. Like all 3rd person shooters do.

More like Ana in terms of healing and damaging with the same attack.
She can also have a passive heal on an ally similar to Zen with his orbs but her ultimate is a blend of Lucio, Zen and Mercy.

Game looks awful to me. The graphics, the sound, are just bad and annoying. And the powers they have, Ha, they look so ridiculous. Also, the 3rd person is a big no no for me.
The people in mL’s chat got mad when I said the third person would turn away a lot of people lmao the fact of the matter is that it’s for a completely different demographic and they didn’t like me saying that. I still like it personally though so I’ll be trying it when it releases on console/when I get a pc

We have to talk about how Dr. Strange’s portal makes Sym’s teleporter look like it’s from Wish. Like Blizzard, take notes.
Magneto can deal huge damage, bubble his allies (Zarya) and put up a shield (Sigma). His ult is also crazy.
Punisher is like a combo between Mauga, Soldier 76 and Tobjorn. Hulk reminds me of Winston but with baby DVA as an extra. Loki is Echo but he can cast illusions and heal allies.
Raccoon in some sense feels like a better support than Mercy. His revive skill can be used strategically where you don’t need to be close to revive your fallen ally, place the device anywhere in hiding and your fallen ally will get revived, now that’s OP.
On top of that, his healing ability is literally Baptiste. He can shoot out healing spheres and deal damage. He’s got synergy with Groot, which is amazing.
On top of that, his ultimate allows his allies to have infinite ammo (and increased damage?).
Not to mention, the map is interactive, that’s fun. Overall, it seems worth it to play.
Yeah and raccoon can literally team up with Groot like a canon synergy, that is so sick
Haven’t played but from footage Magneto looks more like orisa. Ranged stun with small hitbox(javelin toss). The barrier doesn’t have health instead it’s on a cooldown like javelin spin. Correct me if I’m wrong, I’m looking forward to this game.

I am loving the Rivals content mL! Luna is THAT girly. I'm also happy to see so many OW creators checking this game out. The game has potential for sure and I think some competition is definitely needed right now!

Storms aoe no cooldown dmg boost seems really good
yea Overwatch is still better for me, but this game does look fun

Luna snow is nothing like Lucio except for her being a music artist who sometimes ice skates. She's more like an Ana.
Hulk is more like Winston in almost every way, except when he dies he turns into baby Dva. That's the only parallel.
@@sl5945 Luna slides like Lucios skates the meter to switch to healing and whatever the other one is is just like lucios meter to switch from healing to speed and her ult is almost the exact same but you can move around while doing it I was just saying they are very alike
@@Robross888 Lunas ult is zenyatta ult, except youre not immune, and can swap it to a DPS boost instead of healing fulltime, not really like lucio ult at all is what im saying lol, if anyone is like lucio its storm

You can’t really compare them 1 to 1. Because they switch and mix up all the abilities across the heroes.
Luna got ult like Zen, freeze like Mei, but primary fire like Ana.
Hulk got 2 modes like Dva but play like Winston.
Strange got shield like Rein but also TP like Sym.
The attack sound effect is really annoying

I remember when people said this would be an Overwatch killer. Amazing at it is (at least so far.) feels like it contents with paladins more.
Marvel Rivals can compete with both since both they’re all in the same hero shooter niche. I think it’s more similar to Overwatch though since it has no moba elements/ scaling. It looks like the match length is similar too, and it might get shorter as more people learn the game / get good.
It's not like you could speak poorly about the game anyhow :(
