We didn't get travel insurance and they also didn't ask us for it during visa processing or immigration... before travelling you can check on their website to be sure as sometimes regulations keep changing...

Does the size of photo at the time of application matters?
Is there visa requirement for kids less than 10 years old?

They didn't ask us for pictures and they issued visas for kids too, we had to fill forms separately for the kids, only thing they were free...

for UAE resident, is it easy to get visa on arrival at Armenia airport? Does it take much time?

Regulation wise, if all your documents are in place, it's pretty easy to get the visa for Indian citizens who are UAE residents... unfortunately for us, when we arrived there, 2 flights from UAE landed at the same time... hence, the crowd was bigger and we had to wait longer, almost an hour... otherwise, I am guessing, I should have been faster...
