Hello sir i would like to mention that u forgot about the design failur of spigot collar in crushing ...... The crushing strength of spigot collar when the load is applied from both the sides the crushing stress will be generated so area = π/4 (d3^2-d2^2)

With all due respect sir but what I were taught in college that in second step for calculating spigot end instead of shearing strength there comes a crushing strength. So it gives a little confusion over here.. Now please tell your students including me as well that who is right, our book which is issued by govt. or this faculty in video.
