Great review! I'm pulling the trigger on one with the Nvidia MX450. I've had a Zenbook Pro Duo (581 version) for almost 3 years and love it, but more battery life is good for actual travel. One mistake also, the Zephyrus Duo came out after the Zenbook Duo first gen, spin-off is the other way around. Thanks for the vid and cheers!
Does anyone know what it's like to draw on the main screen?... does it tilt back enough to a comfortable drawing angle? Is it strong enough to support your weight?
I wouldn't recommend drawing on the main screen. I'd even say the touchscreen capability of the main screen is more of a gimmick than a useful feature. I've only used it once in a while when I feel a bit too lazy to use my mouse
Just bought this. Delivered today. (i9, 32gb, RTX 3070, 4k OLED, 15.6"). It has a few odd FAULTS that I am curious whether anyone else's has: 1) there is a quiet buzz whenever the track pad is used. Very quiet, but enough to be irritating, and certainly odd. Never had this on a laptop before. 2) the screen doesn't quite fit to the bottom besel flush. So there is a gap between the screen and the bott bezel. 3) actually has the green AERO backdrop when I loaded it. Anyone else had/have similar issues with theirs?
Completely random and unscientific answer but I think the buzz from the trackpad could be static current when it's plugged in. Does it also do the sound when the laptop is unplugged?
If you guys had to pick, would you pick this or the Pro ux582 version? Me, personally, I lean on this. Only cause with Pro version and how much THAT costs, I might as well get a desktop.
Can’t replace the mobility of this laptop. I’m a marketing student and I do photography, and so, I need to bring with me to class and around campus to do extra work while I’m already in campus. Can’t bring my desktop to campus. For example, internships when I am required to be in the office to create marketing materials. Having a powerful screen is must for my type of work with powerful hardware to back it up.
I own one and yes, it's not a laptop for your lap (lmao) and you'll need a little more space between you and the laptop when putting it on a table so that you can use the table as your palm rest. But, tbh that's not as disturbing as the portrait tiny touchpad used for landscape screens which is a pain in the ass
I am thinking about getting the ZENBOOK DUO 14 UX481FL. Is anybody running OBS on it? How does the GPU/CPU handle OBS it while multi tasking? I know the rx250 doesn't have hardware encoding.
Would you please review the ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED UX582 Laptop, 15.6” OLED 4K UHD Touch Display, Intel Core i9-10980HK, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, GeForce RTX 3070
I am working on construction site as an engineer i had old asus touchscreen which wasnt durable at all, the screws came out while driving on unpitched roads then i switched to macbook for 5 yrs+ very durable very reliable, how durable is this asus zenbook duo?
does this have heating issues? bought a zenbook, used it for a month and the keyboard swelled up from the battery and stopped working for good. left a bad taste about this brand.
From what other people have said, the i9 overheats but the i7 doesn’t. I’m not sure I don’t know much about laptops that much and I’m looking to get a zenbook myself but that’s what someone told me.
Just letting you know, in your sponser you say you can charge through the USB-C port. I bought the charger from your sponsor and all - and you can't. That was a lie. ASUS themselves confirmed you CANNOT charge through the USB-C port. So I wasted a bunch of money. Thanks I guess? :/
Okay, the screen is okay, not great. The brightness is not great, the sound is terrible, I mean terrible. The touchpad is hard to get used too. The angle is not great. Good laptop, but it is a gimmick and only buy it if you can live with the weaknesses and desire the second screen a great deal
Putting aside why anyone would buy Intel at the moment, I am not really sure this is a great form factor. I buy a laptop to use primarily on my lap! Try using this on your lap and you will realise its limitations. If you are going to buy something for your desktop then the iGPU does not cut it, spend a bit more to get a dedicated GPU for desktop use. I have no issues with OEMs trying new stuff out, but this kills the keyboard and trackpad functionality, two of my main prerequisites for a great ultrabook experience. Anyway, the Intel 11th gen does not compete with AMD or Apple Silicon in the ultrabook market so this is an easy pass.
Some people need dual screen. If you use your laptop regularly on ur lap then this laptop is not for you then just go and buy regular laptop. Intel is not that bad, I am using i3 10100 for my desktop with 3 monitors and never feel slow at all. Somemore the battery life on this laptop better than ryzen with similar performance
@@williamtan1638 Yes, agree, Intel laptops are fine for ultrabook type workloads (Office, browsing, media, etc) so for most consumers, they will not miss the power of an M1 MacBook Air or a Ryzen 7 4000 series that costs less than the same spec Intel. Just why pay more for less if you are a Window's user?
@@ጂዩዝ Then the Zenbook Duo Pro version might be the version for you. It lasts like 4 hours on battery at a stretch but if you want a laptop to have better processing power instead of just using a desktop for that sort of stuff then that's a trade that's up to you I guess
No space for misaligned stickers :D
You know he's a man of great culture when he's watching Attack On Titan on his second screen ❤️
Thank You Isayama ❤️
it's the one I love and want, but also the one little one with the external 3080 is great
I like the brighter A Roll Bro! Looks clean.
Thanks! Really love my set at the office, just need to be at it more
This laptop is designed for teacher, curriculum designers and online teaching. OBS recording and editing videos didn't have any problem .

The fact that they are stylus-compatible may make me purchase this!

Still waiting for someone else to respond since yours is exactly the same setup I want to get 😅
Still experiencing the same issues?

I'm sure I saw your message on another vid, someone responded that you most likely got a defective one - in case anyone wants to know!
I pre-ordered one of these......2 months ago...still not here. Must be popular!

Also cannot beat mobile gaming with friends lol
I like the laptop. Small and powerful. I wish it had dedicated graphics tho. I look forward to the next video.
The MX 450 is pretty good actually. I've been pushing it pretty hard and it's not really choking up except when playing warzone
@@DepressedCookie what's the heaviest task you did?
@@bartluttels6948 Playing warzone probably! It chugged down to about 28fps. Other than that I do render viewing in blender and it doesn't miss a beat
There is a pro model with a 3070 available now
What did you end up getting from uniqlo?
how is its screen (display performance) compared to hp spectre 14 2021?
Great info. But it looks uncomfortable to use the key & touch pad as these is no space for palm rest. How do you get arnd that?

I wanted to buy this laptop but biggest concern is the no space for palm and there is only on usb 3.2 port
Awesome approach, cadence and verbatim.
