GWG 2000 is the king. I have had a gg1000 for a bit, wanted an upgrade so grabbed a 2000 and doubt I'll get a b1000. I wear a watch to disconnect from a phone. Not bashing at all, if that is your thing go for it! Juat saying with materials, lume and functions I haven't worn another watch since I got my gwg 2000 lol. Love your videos and reviews!
i think all these mudmasters are inceadibly overpriced. Garmin fenix saphire solar can do more for cheaper and if you want disconnect, put it on low battery mode, he will go back to basic functions and battery will last months, and with solar capability it perhaps is lifetime. Same as instinct solar
@@leodoingthings1706Garmin smartwatches don't have any resistances, and the build quality doesn't compare with any premium G-Shock.
Garmin is the best when it comes to features, which is nice, but it's far from being on the same level as a G-Shock.
Getting my 1st tmr. have had the silver G Shock solar for like 15 years..

I bought it but the operation is very poorly designed. It seems like primitive MS-DOS in times when we use Windows 11. The app is miserable, I hoped it would allow 100% operation, unfortunately it is not. Confusion, the days of the week can only be displayed in English, and T/M/Y cannot be selected. In all other areas the watch is top level. Hello Casio, for that much money I expect an appropriate update

Nice, however I dont like Casio's increased reliance on the Smartphone link and still think the original GWG-1000 is the best looking with it's brutal industrial design.
That is the point of Casio, the newer models are not replacements for the older model but a modern reinterpretation. It prevents the older model from becoming obsolete...
We can always argue that smartphone link is not as future-proof as the old method, but Casio is one of the few watch manufacturers that still offer triple-sensor watches without a charging port like this GWG-b1000, and you can use the watch without plugging into anything...
(ignore those G Squad watches with charging ports, they are bad from the start )

It's just better in every way, and what the GWG-2000 should have been imo.
The fact that the new model lends certain design elements from the original is a testament to how good the first one was.
Great vid. So want to buy this, but the green version. But i have heard it has multi band 6 issues in which it does not want to sync automatically. I looked at a vid that says there is an update to fix this thru the bluetooth. Have you heard of or experience any problems with yours. Thanks.
Hi there. I’ve had this very watch for just over a month. If the watch is paired with the phone app, it will adjust its time automatically, via the Bluetooth, around 4 times in a 24hr period. It will therefore not do the auto time receive via Multiband 6. If you want it to receive time automatically from MB6, the Bluetooth needs to be off or simply unpair watch from the phone and let at least 24hrs go by. It will then revert to MB6 auto updates.
Even with phone paired with watch, it’s possible to do a manual receive with MB6.
I know this has been a bit of a contentious issue and I was concerned I had a duff watch until I understood what was going on.
I have several MB6 watches and I love the feature. To be honest, I do prefer it to Bluetooth but this watch has been designed to be used with Bluetooth and the app.
I don’t regret buying it. It’s a lovely watch and I got the one in red, like in the video.
I was able to get a 20% discount code to work on the U.K. G Shock store and got it for £560.

Ill take a G SHOCK KING GXW56BB1JF or GX56BB1 over a mud master anyday of the week, also come in positive display models and has direct lineage to the original squares. Unless you’re coast guard or special forces you will never use the additional functions. Just my opinion.🤷♂️🤘👍

I never noticed any weight issues with the GWG 1000. If this is a problem for you, maybe you should visit your doctor or work out more.

Finally got mine. I love how much lighter it is than the GWG1000 but the same problems remain. With all of its capabilities, setting the alarm with just the watch is stupid. Sure you can link it up with BT abd set it easier but if my phone dies, or I'm away from it, setting it with the crown takes ages. There's five buttons that could've been used to differentiate the crown from adjusting the hour or minute but, no. You can only adjust the minutes. If I need to set my alarm to 9 in the morning, I have to twist the crown to auto move from 0:00 to 09:00. STUPID! And with all of these capabilities, why is the timer only allowed to be set up to 60 minutes?! I would understand if it was a digital display size issue but it could still go up to 99 minutes if that's the reasoning.
An $800 watch should be able to do what the $80 G shock could do and more.

You forgot to mention that this Mudmaster's compass has an automatic horizontal, magnetic declination and orientation correction function. This is a very useful feature, that Casio first implemented in the Gulfmaster GWN-Q1000 and Frogman GWF-D1000B.
I didn't understand why Casio hadn't implemented this functionality in the Mudmaster GWG-1000 and GWG-2000.

I don’t know man. It’s kinda small compared to its forebears. It just lacks the brutish good looks and size of the GWG1000 and the refined but still rugged appeal of the 2000.
It just looks….civil.
Mudmasters are supposed to be imposing.
This isn’t.
I think it looks better than the GWG-2000, aside from the ommission of the 9 and 3 hour markers.
But yeah, the OG Mudmaster is timeless and still has the best design.
I only bought one this year, despite having the option to buy the GWG-2000.

In my opinion, the G-1000 Mudmaster is the highest peak of Casio Engineering with a Sapphire Crystal..... The B1000 is OK in my opinion, a little to pretty for me, the OG G-1000 is a Tank.
You didn't mention it has an accelerometer that measures your step count! My BB100 has it and its why I am considering buying this over the GWG-2000!
Ooo... I would want it to have titanium band.. The dirt or mud would stick. Need to reduce allergy reactions. It's metal would looks nice in titanium.
Are Casios moving to this strictly metal casing now? Is there a way to get a resin case for this?
The resin much better for daily wear as the metal shows scratches more. It's a real shame considering the cost. They should really put out models with resin casing
I have the same watch in the same colour with I have had for a few weeks now a few days in the app was a software update to fix the problem with the radio time keeping after a few days my watch fainly update dated the time over night I also have the ggb100 which I find easyer to use because you don't have to pull out the crowd to set the alternate it is also lighter on the wrist
I like the video, but I feel that you are moving the watch around too much at very short intervals. It's difficult to actually get a good look at the watch.
Do you have to connect it to your phone? Or can it be used just with the solar / multiband 6

guys, in a different review video, I heard that this watch can receive phone calls and notifications. is there anyone who can confirm or deny this statement? it will help a lot.
It does has Bluetooth connectivity, but it definitely can't receive calls or display notifications from your phone.

That goes for literally any device with a built in temperature sensor.
I know it's not ideal, but at least it can measure the temperature itself.

same as any Casio watches actually. 5-10 minutes I think
A Steps feature would have been great on this watch where you can transfer via Bluetooth to the app regardless of what watch you're wearing. I have 3 g squad watches that will sync your steps even when I interchange them for my 10 to 12000 steps a day.

@@gshockhighfashion The watch doesn't really need a heart mont but steps are essential when you're trying to get fit and motivation and probably wouldn't be difficult to add to the watch unlike a heart rate monitor. 👍🏾
I just wish they had either figured out this a couple of years ago and released this in lieu of the GWG-2000, or waited another year or so from now to release this.
The GWG-2000 was released in late 2021, and I got one just last year; the fact that there's already an upgrade in such a short time just stings... Why didn't Casio just do this in the first place then? 😠
Yes. I feel kind of betrayed for getting the 2000. it's a watch with way more functions at the same price, I kind of think the 2000 version must have better materials. The forged carbon square costs 2000 dollars and that's the same material as in the gwg2k
@@NightSpookThe new Mudmaster has multiple DLC stainless steel parts, which is much more expensive than forged carbon, and more scratch resistant.
Yeah, it does have more features than the GWG-2000, and a much better dial design that isn't cramped by the cities bezel anymore.
