LOVED her! Hated the changes between Season 1 and Season 2, but this is still an awesome interview. I guess this is a recording from WEEK-TV in Peoria?
Frank's segments were called "Studio 25" and aired during the 8:25am local break during The Today Show on WEEK-TV 25 Peoria. He hosted a half hour Fall Preview special on 9/11/80 on WEEK-TV.
It was a pretty short interview and she didn’t have time to go thru each member of the cast of the show she left. I think the key takeaway was the Different Strokes cast was mostly men/boys whereas Facts is the other way around, so she was contrasting them.
@@carlmartin2710 that Dana was needy and tried to seduce a male friend of Charlotte's on the set. She also said that Dana was flakey in a documentary (Can't remember which one). Charlotte didn't say anything bad about the boys or any of her 8 girls on Facts.
@@Diostillrocks Interesting. Thanks for the added info. I’m inclined to believe it since we know Dana was troubled and from what I understand that autobiography wasn’t big on that kind of gossip overall. Whether it should have been included in the book is another question.
Thanks for uploading this! Charlotte Rae was such a delightful woman! I watch her on TV every day
Rip Charlotte Rae
This is great love Mrs Garrett Charlotte Rae from Facts of life ❤️ let alone this great interview! 😊
Amazing lady!!

@@jamieschmidt939 Thanks for the answer!
This makes no mention of the Great Purge,
@@Diostillrocks No mention of the Cast Purge, but a mention of no longer being in the dorms, and the addition of Nancy McKeon.
@@ronaldhyde2005 she didn't mention Nancy McKeon. Just a new girl. Nancy McKeon may not have been cast yet when this interview was done.
She is from Wisconsin Appleton
That was Mrs. Garrett. Charlotte was from Milwaukee.
And not a single mention of Dana Plato.

@@carlmartin2710 Charlotte wasn't so kind to Dana in her biography either.
