Canada 2019 Vlog #5 | We ALMOST died!

Day 9-12 of our Alberta Canada trip. We woke up bright and early to start a 8 mile paddle to our campsite near Spirit Island in Jasper, Alberta. This island is located in Maligne Lake and only able to be accessed via your boat (no dogs) or self paddle. We got to our campsite and then paddled another 2 miles to the island. The next day… we almost died. See what happened in the video!
July 2019, I packed up the car with Maple and Gumbo and picked up our friend Sydney with her dog Ego. We were headed back to Canada. Last time we went to Alberta, everything was covered in snow! We also met up with our California friends, Lucy and Fancy. This trip was quite the adventure which involved bears, paddling and getting rescued by Parks Canada. But more to come on that later.
