If you look at some of the earlier comments under this video, Sara, from people who have diabetes or who are diabetic nurses, they say that sweating is definitely a symptom. One person said they knew he was having one before he said so because he was sweating. This person's father was a diabetic and she recognized the symptoms. Not every single diabetic shows their symptoms in the exact same way.
It really shines a light on how judgmental and interview-like dating is...it's like you're auditioning for a role or something just hoping they like you. America Ferrera is awesome and conveying the awkwardness of this scenario.
Oh, God, I love both these actors, so seeing them in this I just want them to go home together and have the most beautiful romance ever. If all the eps are like this I don't think my heart can take watching the rest! When he mentioned his father's health issues, I went "uh-oh", but I expected something much worse.
this series may not be as good as blue but, still kept me sitting at my computer for a long time watching the whole series instead of doing my homework
I get the distinct feeling that this awkwardness is some sort of act with Christine. And that this whole speed-dating thing is some weird social experiment thing.
Hey, that's Eric Balfour!!! I'm not American, i'm Greek, but i remember him from serieses i've watched, like Six feet under and Buffy!! Some amazing acting from both parts here! Congratulations! After this episode we can definitely tell Christine has some issues. She's ready to dismiss someone over somehing very insignificant! Insecurity/intimacy issues? Trust issues? We'll see in the future i guess :)
Shes a good actress. Its damn criminal that she hasn't had more airtime on TV since Betty. To go on speed date is nerve wracking enough but to ACT as if you're doing it for real - that takes some skill
Dear Wigs, I've thoroughly enjoyed the stories thus far! I know people gripe about Jan's character, however, I appreciate the honesty in her story, it reflects reality. Everyone is not assertive, many people do bluckle under pressure and allow unhealthy relationships to rule their life. So thank you for showing some reality. And I'm so excited to see America Ferrera, love her! Just wondering, will any of these leading ladies be Asian or African-American? I'd like to see more diversity.
After seeing all the comments about the way she reacted to the diabetes thing (even on other videos), well I expected her response to be a lot different. I'm not sure I see the problem. She freaked out when it looked like he was going to pass and out and I'm thinking she was still stunned from that. But she treats him nicely after. I feel like it just shook her, it would have worried me as well.
I think she was really attracted to this guy. She had all the signs of being nervous around him and not wanting to really talk about herself and know more about him.
That crossed my mind too. I think she was just startled when he crashed, but then I wondered if she was trying to eliminate men with problems that can be passed on genetically right from the get go.
Oh my, I'll never do speed dating^^ Just watching the two of them makes me feel awkward. I hope we'll get to know a little bit more about what's going on with Christine in the next episode.
Christine being awkward is true to real life though, as someone currently involved in the young adult dating scene, all the awkwardness these characters are portraying is pretty accurate. Meeting strangers and dating is totally awkward.
Wow, I loved Daniel more than Ron, and if its starting to get better and better I wonder who the next guy is going to be! For a moment, I thought Daniel was going to break out crying because his dog died or something. This episode turned out great!
He needed a full fledged stylist! He's a nice looking guy, but he looks like he's just spent the winter in a logging camp in Alaska. LOL Sort of killed the 'nice looking' part.
Doh! Sorry, I thought you were making a judgment about Daniel potentially dating Christine because she was the same age as his sister, saying that was disturbing.... thanks for the clarification.
'While the channel's tagline "Where it gets interesting" does not fully match the acronym WIGS; on their website, the words "Where It Gets . . ." are used to begin to describe each series, and the last word is changed. For example, for the first series, "Jan," the tagline is, "Where It Gets Spicy." "WIGS - an acronym, more or less, for “When It Gets ...” (Interesting, Spicy) - stand out."
I've only watched a few of their shows but I noticed a pattern of the shows laying out the character's background in scenes like introductory dates where they talk at length about age/profession/family/history etc. It's boring.
Yeah...I used to date someone who had diabetes and I’ll admit I did get a little nervous when he told me what could happen if his blood sugar dropped, so I can understand her getting a little freaked out when she saw it happen, but it’s not like he’s contagious. It’s not like he has AIDS or anything, in fact this issue would have been a lot stronger if he did have AIDS because *that* is a fucked up disease that actually carries a stigma. Diabetes can get fucked up if you’re not careful, but it doesn’t carry that stigma. Just my two cents.
I keep seeing comments about wigs being all about speed dating but this is the third series of wigs that I've watched and its the first one about speed dating, so?? I think wigs is more about different trials that women encounter.
What subtle acting! I love it.
I thought that he was about to cry and that the random snack was comfort food.
LOL

Omg! He is adorable! He's so cute and he's personality made him even more cute!!!:)
i thought he did an excellent job also.. He switched up several emotions very seamlessly. His eyes showed alot..
He seems really genuine, doesn't he? I like him too.
Observing the akwardness and the vulnerable feelings involved in speed dating is a brilliant base for this series! I am loving this WIGS!
It really shines a light on how judgmental and interview-like dating is...it's like you're auditioning for a role or something just hoping they like you. America Ferrera is awesome and conveying the awkwardness of this scenario.
BOOORRRRIIINNG. But its kinda cool that u can tell when shes lying. Its actually really good acting. And she does have a great smile
i like how his sweat seemed to evaporate as he ate
Oh, God, I love both these actors, so seeing them in this I just want them to go home together and have the most beautiful romance ever. If all the eps are like this I don't think my heart can take watching the rest!
When he mentioned his father's health issues, I went "uh-oh", but I expected something much worse.
Eric Balfours acting is great as always
Eric acting diabetic made me smile he looked nervous then annoyed then hungry so cute
Jan, Blue and Christine are so far the best. It definitely has to do with the actresses! Can't wait to see this series progress.
This series makes me feel so much better about being socially awkward :)
this series may not be as good as blue but, still kept me sitting at my computer for a long time watching the whole series instead of doing my homework
Blue is so good. I am still reeling over that last ep!
This perfectly encapsulates all the awkwardness of dating. 0_o
Thank you, Wigs, for not putting 1,000 stupid links while the video is playing, like EVERY OTHER UA-camR.
Eric is a joy to behold.
It's speed dating, truth itself is a rare unicorn in these sorts of settings.
I LOVE THIS FUCKING MANNNNNNN! GREAT ACTOR, from Six Feet Under.
She's weird... I think I know the twist that's coming though, can't wait to see! Hope Daniel comes back.
I get the distinct feeling that this awkwardness is some sort of act with Christine. And that this whole speed-dating thing is some weird social experiment thing.
def a worthwhile project.. still trying to figure it out,, but then there are a lot of things i am sure they will never really let us know..
I thought that was Eric when I saw the thumbnail!!!!!
When his blood sugar dropped I laughed so hard because I knew it was happening when he started sweating.
Blue is still my favorite, but I really like this one too so far. Probably my second favorite!
He is the cutest thing ever haha
found a new favorite web show...So love Blue but this is gonna be a fav too.
I'm beginning to LOVE this series!
I love Eric Balfour...got to interview him about Haven! He is very gracious!
Okay, perfect opportunity! She totally did not seize the moment.
Hey, that's Eric Balfour!!! I'm not American, i'm Greek, but i remember him from serieses i've watched, like Six feet under and Buffy!!

Veryy. Which is kinda awesome because we don't see that often in America playing those roles.
I loved this guy!
Oh wow this is so painful to watch because it's so real. This happens to me all the time probably.
Shes a good actress. Its damn criminal that she hasn't had more airtime on TV since Betty. To go on speed date is nerve wracking enough but to ACT as if you're doing it for real - that takes some skill
I'm enjoying these. Can't wait to see more.
Dear Wigs,
I've thoroughly enjoyed the stories thus far! I know people gripe about Jan's character, however, I appreciate the honesty in her story, it reflects reality. Everyone is not assertive, many people do bluckle under pressure and allow unhealthy relationships to rule their life. So thank you for showing some reality. Diversity? Y? A Jewish/native American person not sit right with you?
After seeing all the comments about the way she reacted to the diabetes thing (even on other videos), well I expected her response to be a lot different. I'm not sure I see the problem. She freaked out when it looked like he was going to pass and out and I'm thinking she was still stunned from that. But she treats him nicely after. CHRISTINE!!! Get out of your head! This guy is sweet and personable (as well as cute as hell!) and he obviously is crushing on you...... go for it!
I LOVE this series!
I think she was really attracted to this guy. She had all the signs of being nervous around him and not wanting to really talk about herself and know more about him.
She's so impressed with him. lol
This is AWESOME!!!
That crossed my mind too. I think she was just startled when he crashed, but then I wondered if she was trying to eliminate men with problems that can be passed on genetically right from the get go.
This is hilarious! I liked him! =)
I hope she picks him he seems like a good guy
this show is fantastic!
he just zoned out he looked really sick in that second and when he ate the candy bar i realized oh he has diabetes
Eric Balfour!!!! i needed a haven fix.
I HOPE SO!!! i REALLY like daniel
Oh my, I'll never do speed dating^^ Just watching the two of them makes me feel awkward. I hope we'll get to know a little bit more about what's going on with Christine in the next episode.
she seems like she likes him but she doesn't want to be disappointed so she won't really let her guard down.
Wigs really is all about the speed dating
What is up w/the subtitles? Am I the only one seeing that parts of phrases get stuck on there and remain the rest of the short?
Christine being awkward is true to real life though, as someone currently involved in the young adult dating scene, all the awkwardness these characters are portraying is pretty accurate. Meeting strangers and dating is totally awkward.
i think they're all going to be in this speed date setting. :o
Wow, I loved Daniel more than Ron, and if its starting to get better and better I wonder who the next guy is going to be! For a moment, I thought Daniel was going to break out crying because his dog died or something. This episode turned out great!
Dude, he was on Season One of The O.C!
This guy is extremely likeable and cute!
I like Daniel so far. She should def call him for a pebble climbing date.
I feel like she is going to start changing her backstory at every guy she meets
He needed a full fledged stylist! He's a nice looking guy, but he looks like he's just spent the winter in a logging camp in Alaska. LOL Sort of killed the 'nice looking' part.
I hope so!!! I really like Daniel!!
Eric Balfour is looking good. I remember him from Six Feet Under as well. I wonder what Christine's secret is.
this episode did not feel as uncomfortable as the last one
I like Daniel. "My mother's a dwarf". I feel like I am this girl. I actually said "super fit" half a second before she said it.
I'm sure this guy is not diabetic, he just wanted her to shut up lol
I was dying when he said my blood sugar dropped hahahaha
Whatever. The fact that she mentions teaching to both guys shows some consistency in her "story".
I LOVE YOU WIGS!!! :D
So the only thing she's consistent with (so far) is her name, age, and that she's a teacher. Hmmm
I'm liking this
When I first saw the title "Daniel" I immeadiatly thought of Daniel Mead from Ugly Betty. Am I the only one?
huh. I totally called that diabetic part.
Not even! She said she was going to go back to school to qualify for being a teacher, and had only done sub work, to the first guy :D
Wow, if that guy asked me on a pebble climbing date.....Hell Yes.
I like Daniel!
Doh! Sorry, I thought you were making a judgment about Daniel potentially dating Christine because she was the same age as his sister, saying that was disturbing.... thanks for the clarification.
oh i feel the same way... older guys... as young as his sister... I HOPE THIS WORKS OUT!
'While the channel's tagline "Where it gets interesting" does not fully match the acronym WIGS; on their website, the words "Where It Gets . . ." are used to begin to describe each series, and the last word is changed. For example, for the first series, "Jan," the tagline is, "Where It Gets Spicy."
"WIGS - an acronym, more or less, for “When It Gets ...” (Interesting, Spicy) - stand out."
Soooo handsome!!!! Woooh!
He's so beautiful.
I'm really curious to know what she's thinking when this stuff goes on because she's obviously changing her stories
I'm intrerested to see where this goes.
This would be me speed dating. Yeah...definitely.
I think she's aware that she lies a lot under pressure before, so she doesn't trust herself to talk much in these situations... maybe xD
Just my two cents.
pefectly said.
I WANNA GO CLIMB A PEBBLE WITH YOU! LOL
Daniel's my favorite guy but Christine's so awkward in this one
Can't have diabetes, can't take care of your family, can't talk about money... She's a winner :)
I keep seeing comments about wigs being all about speed dating but this is the third series of wigs that I've watched and its the first one about speed dating, so?? I think wigs is more about different trials that women encounter.
With all the lying she does Christine still manages to stike out.
Ha!
I called it that he was a Diabetic with the sudden sweat and dazed look.
2nd bet was he was going to faint if it wasn't that.
Duuuuuukkkkkkkeeeee
ikr that's what I first thought
why is she changing what she is saying in this episode?last episode she said she did this before and in this episode she is saying its her first time.
my dad's diabetics so as soon as I saw him sweating I knew he was having a sugar low. haha weird
