@@tishx7826 you’re so lucky because i just did an interview again for the same position (customer assistant for clothing and home) and I instantly passed the interview without doing half of it because I was apparently answering so well. (I have recent knowledge 😅) Genuinely it feels scary at first but it’s so casual (just a normal conversation). I’ve been very lucky with both my positions as I had amazing interviewers. I would say the main thing to focus on is definitely ALWAYS mentioning to prioritise the customer and repetitively conveying skills such as customer service and especially technology (search up honeywells, if you mention that they’ll like you quite a bit)! Also don’t forget to put effort into your appearance on that day whether it’s wearing a nice outfit such as a shirt and jeans for example or doing your hair or makeup :). I’m being serious if you’ve never worked at M&S before, use everything that he’s said in the video because he knows what he’s talking about and clearly secured me two jobs!

I had my interview over a week ago for a customer assistant (operations) role and I think it went well thanks to your video but I am yet to get a feedback. I checked my application portal and it says “under consideration”. Should I be worried?
Conveying passion for a part-time role at a supermarket doesn’t necessarily have to sound cheesy if you can focus on genuine reasons why you want the job and what you hope to bring to the role. Here’s a possible way to communicate this, both genuinely and professionally: Example Response: “I am genuinely excited about the opportunity to work part-time at [Supermarket Name] because I value the essential services supermarkets provide to communities. I’m passionate about contributing to a positive and helpful shopping environment for customers and ensuring they can find what they need easily. I believe this role will allow me to utilize my [mention any specific skills or qualities you have] while learning more about retail and customer service. I’m eager to be a part of a team that values hard work and customer satisfaction and to contribute to the overall success of the store.”

And so we are supposed to remember all this in the interview? I really despair of these sort of interviews. Surely, a one to one interview and work experience relevant to the position is all that's needed? Why would a part time position on the tills have to go through all this?

@@rebelruth9582 That’s what i was thinking lmao. I don’t think this video is good as it for people applying for majority of different roles. I found a video exclusively for customer service roles and found it 10x more helpful.

@@txstatix4282 i cant remember one of the questions but it is in this video lol, otherwise i was asked the typical, why are you perfect for this job? when are you available? but i was also given a task to note 3 things around the store that could be improved and then we had a roleplay. she did skip over relevant experience questions because i am 16 and she was aware id lack experience.. it was a fairly short interview because we didnt go over a lot of the questions . hope that helps ! good luck in yours!!
