Wow, you are great at explaining a fairly complex job. My hat is off to you sir. Not only are you knowledgeable but a very good communicator. You should consider being a teacher. Probably won’t pay as well though. Kudos to you sir! 👍🏼
A few things I thought I added to your already excellent video: 1. the new injectors seems like they pre-lub them before insert them into the holes with either silicon grease or 0W-20 oil. (yes the same you put in into this engine) 2. the fuel rails installation is tighten is from the center outward to increase the chances of evenly distributed when torque down. 3. just a note that in this case the Bulletin says the DTC is due to debris or shavings from the fuel pumpt or injectors manufacturing that clogged up the injector up. in your lecture you primarily say the is being clogged by the carbon buildup from the combustion chamber
Yep, BlueDriver odbc just reported P219B, Bank 2 problem on our 2016 Pilot. Thanks for the video AND great lighting so we can see. I watched another video on doing this repair and I thought that one was good but your video is even gooder!
For anyone reading, I had this code on my 2015 accord. I replaced my spark plugs and gas cap. It was the spark plugs in my case. Engine light is gone, it’s been over a week. Sometimes it’s the injectors, and Honda extended the warranty for that, so check before you dish out money on fuel injectors. It’s a 10 yr warranty from date of purchase or 150k miles. Whichever comes first. But my issue was thankfully just the plugs
Man you an outstanding job diagnosing the issue and you attacked the problem.. Definitely with I could get my Ram1500 to you I’m dealing with same issues and some other codes also., Great job.
Great video. I have a 2017 pilot and had injector failed. System was warranted it was still a headache. Upset just finding out has a serious issue with its injectors
Great work and very thorough demonstration. Do you have approximate prices on part replacement. Just had code P219A display on my 2016 pilot touring. Probably the same issue.
Nice and clean video, good work for Honda pilot 2016 injectors replacement, for me i missed diagnosis for new injectors balanced Test on scanner thank you. Habib Auto
Suleman Habib Thanks bro!! you can watch part 1 for the tests, but I didn't do the injector balance test because for some reason my scan tool wouldn't support the test..
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair I have a 2019 Honda Odyssey that has 110 thousand miles. I turn on the P219B light emission system trouble code I reset everything. It takes 1 month to turn on the engine light. the car runs smoothly. Do you think I should replace the injectors?
thank you for a awesome detailed explanation. the money i will save not taking to the dealer will be spent on that Milwaukee brushless power tool. Standard CRC throttle body cleaner will work ?
I did the injector replacements last weendend. And I have to opens up 2 more times. As the injectors 4 and 5 connectors did not click. So before you put the files pipes on make sure you hear/feel the clicks of the injector connector. Go to the forums and print out the factory FSM. If you are going to DIY this. You can find the FSM for free. You will need it for the removing and tighting pattern. To prevent form having to replace the fuel injectors every 30-40k for this flawed GDI engine read up on OIL catch cans and devices that disable VCM. THIS WILL reduce the oil burning and carbon on the injectors.
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair it looks like my 2017 Honda Pilots fuel injectors are supposed to be replaced under warranty from Honda. They know they didn’t do a proper job with this injectors and are warrantying them for 150,000 or 10 years whichever comes first. I’ll stop by a Honda dealership and see what they have to offer. You should be a teacher 😁you explain things better that allot of teachers I know. Warm regards
My 2017 Pilot showing Emissions System Problem. I scanned it and it came out code P219A Bank 1 Air Fuel Ratio Imbalance. Would it be the same problem, change Fuel Injector? I assume because it is Bank 1 I'm asking because I learned that Honda has extended the warranty for the Fuel Injector Issue since this is the 2017 Pilot issue. But if they find out that the problem is not the Fuel Injector (which I believe it is) dealer will charge me $180 for the diagnose.
Arnel Abad this can be caused by a engine computer that needs to be updated, bad air fuel ratio sensor or bad injectors... you should take it to the Dealer to check the first software of the computer first, then test the air fuel ratio sensor, if those 2 things are good then replace the injectors!!
Hi, I have 2010 honda pilot.. While running in the highway with 130speed, engine light starts flashing with vtm-4 and vsa along, now when i scanned it, it says cylinder 2 misfire.. So I start changing my spark plugs and swap the coil from the 6th to the 2nd but still no luck, I also notice a white smoke coming from the engine after I start it but goes away after few minutes.. Could it be the fuel injectors?
