I have the SF-1000 model right before they added the LM301H diodes. I found its best around 18-20 inches(60-80% light intensity) during veg and 10-12 inches(80-100% light intensity) during flower in Spider-Farmers 2.3x2.3 ft tent and I have had some nice successful grows with stinky thick bud density. However, I've replaced it with the SE-3000 in that same tent for a more consistant PAR level as well as not getting the tent as hot since I'm mounting the driver outside of the tent.

Will probably be getting cold out by November or so but I'm excited to try it out. I'll have it in a building out back so I hope it works

Hey At what height do you recommend having this lamp ? (tent 80x80x180 white inside, 3 plant, and an additional 45W lamp with the same spectrum) gives you Biotabs Starter Pack nutrients.
Well my friend ill get a measurement for you that's part of the reason I wanted to get the par meter cause alot of us here run the same set ups now i can help you guys dial the light in
20 inches at 70 percent gives you 320 par that's where I got mine you want some power left for flower so that's what I'd do 20 inches at either 60 or 70 percent there loving life

I had a SF1000 and Luved it. That's why I upgraded to the SE3000 which is BANGIN !!! Spider Farmer lights are great but I prefer Mars Hydro Tents. We like what we like just like I say about my black gurlz. Another informative video Ribby !!!

I actually had the original sf1000 with no dimmer knob...I was using in veg tent 4 years...
For your test I' would have tested at the hanging height you would use above canopy especially with that diode lay out. I believe it would be recommended 20" ... then u would see higher par and even spread

Over night usually is long enough bro
just a few minutes after you've ph it, check the reading and make sure your within the range you want.

Can you add the size of the tent you did your measurements please? With the values you took and the size of the tent its possible to interpolate diffrent hights and par values in all kind of diffrent sized boxes.

However, in your video, you do not show the size of your grow box, meaning you do not mention its dimensions, length by width by height. If you provide me with these values, I can calculate quite accurately at what height and intensity I can hang my lamp without having a measuring device, and I can also calculate the PAR values for different sized grow boxes based on your measurement if I know the size of the grow box in which you measured it.

Full spectrum white lights for side & under canopy are the way to go. Red is good for causing elongated stems.
Go outside on a bright sunny day , take a par reading from the sun , it should be 4 x higher than in your tent. The plant outside can take it. So can the inside , if done right. PS pick up a co2 meter. Those bottles are a waste. If you don't add co2 , your plants will eat up the 400 PPMs of co2 in the air, chocking them. 1,200 is a nice range & will help out a low light output. The more CO2, the higher the par's you can run. Beware , you may need roller skates to keep up with watering as they will drink more

I’ll tell you what them yellow marks are as I’ve sent mine back and got a new one off them after they tried to offer me $20 refund which is about £15 the light cost me £250 the sf 2000 after a few back and forth emails I paid the delivery to send old one back and they sent new one besides that it’s the glue melting unfortunately
