I have followed you for years and have a 6 year old son. We have been homeschooling since the PreK years and it has been an absolute blessing. I am so excited to see how this journey goes for you! I am currently in my 7th year of teaching kindergarten in our public school district and I love my job. But I do hope to have kiddos of my own one day, and being a stay at home mom/homeschooling has been a dream of mine! But like everyone else, I always worry about the social aspect of it!

I think the same way about my 3rd kid. He is 3 and he seems so advanced so fast. My middle had to do speech for a few months and took forever to talk because my oldest talked for him all the time.I might have to teach my youngest when he turns 4 because we will be moving outside of the US where preK isn't available through the school. Anyways I hope you all enjoy this new journey!
Welcome to the homeschool community! Colorado has a lot of homeschool families that get together at parks and such to play and have fun as well!
I’m so happy you chose to homeschool afterall! I’ve been homeschooling since my son was in Pre-K. My daughter is going into 1st, and son going into 4th! It’s definitely possible and I love the freedom! You can change things as needed and can take things year by year. ☺️
And yes school days are much shorter!!! And we also chose to homeschool so we could have more time together!
I’m excited for you and your family. That is so great that Lila is doing so well and graduating from so many of her therapies. Madison should be graduating OT in the next few months. Love that Jensen is so excited about homeschooling. It seemed once Matthew hit high school time is going so fast and will be a senior. With Madison the struggles have made high school so far seem so long. Still debating what to do with schooling for her. Can’t wait to watch your journey.
Kassidee you are Amazing Mom and I know that you will be one Amazing teacher for all of your children, they are truly Blessed! It seems like just yesterday you were bringing Jensen home and now look at him. He’s getting so big and grown and Layla Rae I think she came out the womb grown and sassy lol she’s one smart little girl. Bryson is growing big time and you’re right it feels like you just had him. I think he has your big personality and loves life too the fullest .. I know all three will do Amazing in Home Schooling and will go on too do great things in life! They have two examples they get to look up too and that’s you and Cary.. Cary might be quite but when it comes to teaching his children look out you see that hands on Dad and he wants them too experience everything and you want the same and more. I wish you the very Best... Your children will get too see their Mom do something she went to college for and when they’re that small, you will always have three sets of eyes and ears on you at all times... They will grow up and go on too do Amazing things!!!
The coming school year will make our third year of home schooling. It was very intimidating, but we've done pretty well. I love how I can make learning fun. Totally agree with you on Jensen spinning and learning. I don't know if this is every location, but my Costco in Maryland has some curriculum books at a great price. My local libraries also have programs for children to interact with other home school students.

I had IEP's when I was in school, I was in special Ed classes all through from when I a kid and all the way through highschool
i will love if you share your scheduling,teaching method and curriculum, especially for Brysen i'm about to homeschool my 3yr old as well and im really lost hehe
Where I live Iv been dying to find a camp for my son like old school tech .. I think that’s what it was called .. like shop class .. I want him to learn how to build easy things use tools .. learn how to do simple tasks like that where schools don’t do anymore .. !!!! But of course NOTHING

I need to just up move my family closer to Colorado so we can be friends LOL. I have followed you & Devon through the years; babies, moving and having more babies. I can certainly relate to you both on many levels.. Also, a SAHM here. I have two boys, Fremont is 5 will be 6 at the end of Aug and I had my youngest, Oakley 3 when you and Devon had just had Tyler and Brysen... We attended public school this first year for Kindergarten and as much as he enjoyed it I have decided its best to homeschool my boys as well. I have only really been on my own doing the research for a few months and this is what I have found most useful. I am to use a but of everything (not one curriculum fits all)
I took full advantage of Twinkl sight the other day and downloaded all of the prek to first grade curriculum for free. Sign up and ook out for those free days! I found Little Patriots for a small for of history, it's online based but looks easy and organized. I found miniature masterminds, nature based hands on fun downloadable worksheets and you can order the packs www.fortheloveof homeschooling.com
I found uscurrency.gov website and they have an app they are sending a bunch of free material for learning currency etc. A nice little weekly lesson lol
For reading my son enjoys Leap frog books with the pen that helps say the words they are not familiar with, also the Step into reading books have been the biggest help for my oldest. Also, a bunch of reviews for 5 easy steps on Amazon. Hooked on phonics packs. Lively letters for writing, book shark, my teaching library. Scholastic books, Evan Moore workbooks I love. Hope someone is able to find any of this info helpful as this a journey of some many unknowns and really just finding what best suits your kiddos interests. Good look on your journey!
