Thank you for posting this and especially for including all the outtakes/close calls. I’m at like, day 2 of the progression and it can get pretty disheartening to get close but throw away some of the best setups. It kinda makes me start to think that maybe I’ll just never get it, so it’s nice to see that people that are consistent at it now are in fact human and those kind of fails are just part of the process. I will keep practicing!
Yeah haha, when joreuz or squishy do all their mechanics, it's easy to forget how long they must've spent learning them. It does take a long time but once you get it down, you basically have it forever :)

For me when I get a really close call doing a double reset I get more confident because I tell myself that I got really close so if I try harder I will be able to score it next time. Maybe toy should try the same thing :)

Recommendation, when you do these, if you can, try doing the shot in-game and then showing it at the end.

@@NightRyder I am extremely inconsistent at triples and up so the pentas are always based on a lot of luck. Would very much enjoy a no-stall chain reset tutorial.
Sure, so when you say chained how many are we talking because I think I can get 3 if I practice more, but it's very hard and I'm not consistent at it right now but I am pretty consistent at getting 2, and I was planning on making a tutorial on that but can definitely make one on 3 in future when I get good at it :)
@@NightRyder I was in one of your streams and I saved a replay of you and another guy doing them and that helped me. I rarely get pentas (unscored) and usually after the reset only get one or 2 stalls before scoring or dropping the ball. I can't do non-flip resets yet
@@wong4956 oh yeah I remember that haha, and ah ok so making the tutorial on me just getting the double with non-flip would be helpful then, cool yh I can do that, will be out soon! :)
I am able to get double reset with a stall but by then the ball is almost near ground...I have got many clips in training with clean double resets ..would love a tutorial...the problem I face is the part after getting the first reset and before the stall...that motion to align for stall takes time or is inefficient

Hahaha yh so I was binge watching random stuff when practising XD his was actually a main one because, I was basically modelling these after osms attempts in the osm vs forky freestyle 1v1. And yh should be bringing out he full tutorial very soon! That's if you don't know how to do it already. But yh I also love this mechanic, it's really satisfying to hit, but not as much as a musty for some reason haha
when i go for the second reset i have a question on how to do the flip or flip cancel to get the second reset.
so its all about the tilt before the flip 5:56, is where you need to you need to look to get the second reset, let me know if that helps :)
Yo if you flip cancel your last flip to score the ball it would look so sick plus it would get more power

question: sometimes when i go for the first reset when i go bottom of the ball the ball just bounces off my car and goes
so usually when the ball just bounces off your car, it's because you are approaching the ball too fast, try being really slow with everything, makes it much easier. In general its hard to do resets when the ball is moving fast
As a Switch player who doesn't have enough keybinds for stalls, this is exactly what i needed, time to practice!

@@dissolve2679 sadly my controller is a bit broken, I'll try and fix, if I do I'll stream later. The problem is the ps button on the ps4 keeps going to a blue screen, so i cant really see anything haha (I think the ps button is broken. it won't be nice to watch and i wont be able to play half the time. I'm trying to get a new one soon. Once I get it I can do a lot of streams during the week to make up for the missed ones :)

Whenever I flip back into the ball for the second reset my car never stays near the ball after getting the contact for the second reset, I usually get launched down or the ball flies far away so I can't reach it again. I know the video has been out for a while but if anyone can help that would be great.
So usually when this happens, it means you have to much momentum because you are rushing the shot, all flip resets need to be done slowly to maintain control. Let me know if that helps

yeah, its a diagonal flip and the cancel in the opposite corner

I'm on day 4 and I've been having many close calls like the ones we see in this video, but I haven't got a goal once, I have already like 15 training hours just on this but I can't really get it. Will have to keep training tho, practice makes perfect, I'm sure that in like 1 year I will be laughing about myself remembering the times in which I couldn't do it once haha

So usually it's because your probably going too fast.

You really have to be going slowly to do the resets, I imagine you are going too fast when you try and get the second reset

Is the octane easier than the fennec?
I don't think so, it really depends on what you are used to, they look different, so that's the reason it may seem harder, like the visual of the car fits differently on the same hit box if that makes sense. So the corner of the hit box is not on the corner of the octane car model, but the corner of the hit box for the fennec is where the fennecs corner is.

@@NightRyder I'm gonna do it in ranked 1s, because I'm only c1 there and you of course have more time, also idk why but this mechanic wasn't hard for me to learn for some reason (of course I'm really inconsistent but i already got my first one after a couple mins of trying) I only did it for probably like half an hour in training

I am finally starting to do 1 consistent. U just casually triple noscope 560 flip reset musty flick flip reset double touch ceiling shot it.
took me a lot of time to get it down haha

Not sure, like I can do training with my controller but it is broken and often the screen goes blue, think the ps button is broken, so it keeps going blue and comes back, the stream may look really bad bc it'll keep cutting away from the stream, but I could try it.

Yeah sadly I can't fix the screen tears all the time as I'm on ps4 and when I turn vsync off it makes screen tears, but I have to because it reduces input delay a lot. So until I get a pc or the ps5 it might be a featur, so sorry about that :(

It actually is broken, but I can manage learning mechanics OK! The screen always goes blue because I think the ps button is broken. So like randomly the screen goes blue and I can't move lol but I can practice stuff like this.

That's pretty sick, keep grinding those mechanics! They're honestly really important the higher you get in the ranks, because people start defending the easier stuff more often. It is and will continue to get harder to score normal goals, so yeah those mechanics further down the line will come in clutch
