In India, it's an age-old ceremony to shave the baby's first hair as it is associated with past life. When to do the trimming is totally a personal choice. However , we should wait for at least 3 months after the baby is born.

Yes dear, 4 months is ok. Generally babies scalp gets normal after 2 and half months.
